609: Chapter 129 – A Few Drops of Blood and Tears of a Fallen Nation, A Loyal Minister’s Heart Split by the Bright Moon_3 609: Chapter 129 – A Few Drops of Blood and Tears of a Fallen Nation, A Loyal Minister’s Heart Split by the Bright Moon_3 Sixteen harpies in all, each held in grasp by the Hippo Poets with one hand, the majority of whom had passed out from the shock.

Only three continued hyperventilating, each choked cough accompanied by spatters of blood.

“These are not Harpies from the Goliath Clan!” Gortani’s beautiful brow furrowed in anger, her glare fixed on the group with their varied colored wings.

They were a little far before, but now up close, it was clear for all to see that these creatures stood at about a ter and seventy centiters tall, strong in build with shiny black skin, their wings robust and sturdy.

Besides their feathered wings, they possessed an extra set of slightly smaller mbrane wings on their backs.

Though they lacked the characteristic eagle-hooked nose of the Goliath Clan harpies, they bore the birdlike beak distinctive to the Beamon of the Bode Clan.

A strange pair of short horns adorned their foreheads while their eyes were large and cloudy.

After thoroughly reviewing the annals of Beamon history, it was hard to find an exact match to these birdn among the Bode Clan.

“What’d I say, our Beamon warriors are born brave — nothing like these losers,” Bellowed O’Neal, brandishing a replica of the God Axe in his hand.

“While they might not be harpies, they are still Beamon — they are Eagle-Bull people!” Proposed the Dark Elf, taking almost malicious pleasure in this revelation.

“Since when do we have that kind in Beamon?” Asked Helen skeptically.

“So are they the hybrid offspring of Taurens and Harpies?” Liu Zhenhan asked the Dark Elf.

“Indeed, sir,” The Dark Elf chuckled in affirmation.

“What?” Gortani’s mind went blank, her feet wavering.

“To be completely honest, even I find this chilling, given that I was just making a random guess,” Liu Zhenhan cracked an awkward smile at the two Fairy Dragons, Daisy and Ruona, who both shrugged, indicating that this was beyond their expectation.

“The offspring of interspecies marriages…this is too absurd…” The two Scepter Shamans shook their heads in bitter humor.

While it wasn’t unheard of for Beamon nobles to take lovers from different races, such large-scale, blatant interbreeding is truly shocking in the face of the deeply entrenched traditional values of the Bimon Kingdom.

Liu Zhenhan grabbed the wing of one of the Eagle-Bull creatures and with so force, yanked out a great deal of feathers.

“There you go, Nedved.

No need to worry about not having high-quality fletching for your arrows,” he handed over the plucked feathers.

“Gaga~~” The Vajra Parrot, Guoguo perched on its back, flew past Liu Zhenhan’s face.

“How is it that little rascal not cursing like a sailor today?” Ning Yu was perplexed.

“I’ve been teaching it manners over these past few days,” A tinge of pride couldn’t be concealed in the young nun’s voice.

She glanced sideways at Liu Zhenhan, “This proves that, as long as you put in a sincere effort, even the most obstinate can be changed.”

The crowd roared with laughter while Figo and the two mages of the Sea Clan stood dumbly, completely lost.

“Interesting,” Liu Zhenhan chuckled mischievously.

Rolling with laughter on the ground with a belly-ache, Rodman was hardly able to compose himself.

“You silly git!” Ning Yu gave Old Liu’s head a knock then sternly glared at Fat Luo.

At this point Helen, and the two Fairy Dragons were helplessly curled into fits of laughter; the young nun, Gortani, were the only ones left to cringe awkwardly.

The two Green Priests were in the midst of treating the injured Subterranean Natives, nearly breaking down in laughter whilst trying to recite their healing prayers.

“Trist!

Are you okay?” A handful of towering shadows ca bounding over from a distance, shouting as they ran.

Based on the powerful voices, you’d expect their owners to have explosive physical strength.

“I’m over here!

Duncan, I’m fine!

Hurry over, I need to tell you about sothing big!” The Dark Elf Trist shouted to the approaching figures while bouncing on his toes.

The militia carried on laughing and teasing each other, not the least bit serious upon the arrival of these newcors.

“You’re called Trist?” Gude asked, a piece of bamboo perpetually in his mouth, as he patted the Dark Elf’s shoulder.

“Is there a problem?

Strong man,” The Dark Elf sized up this robust Beamon who looked like a mountain.

“No, nothing.

Just that I’ve found ‘Cui’s are generally not good news,” Gude mumbled as he swallowed his bamboo piece and took another fresh one in his mouth.

“Exactly!

Like Cui Beixi for example.” O’Neal gave General Pan a big thumbs up only to receive an angry glare from the mistress, Helen.

The Dark Elf Trist eyed these two beefy Beamons, swung his foot at each of their buttocks, then quickly took off.

Gude and O’Neal couldn’t help but roar with laughter.

A group of towering shadows had run their way from a distance, reaching the edge of the stalagmite forest, into which the Dark Elf Trist imdiately disappeared.

These were five massive Taurens, with musculature so finely defined they seed to have been sculpted from tal.

Although Taurens were known to be strong, it was rare to see subjects like these, towering at four ters tall.

All five bore a remarkably thick mane of golden hair, with a tal Totem Pole strapped on to each of their shoulders.

Just gauging from the diater of the totem poles, it was clear that they weighed a hefty amount.

The horns on their heads weren’t of the usual crescent shape like the Taurens, nor were they curved like the Rhinon’s, but rather spiral shaped.

“Antelope n!

It’s the golden-haired Antelope n from the Buer Tribe!” Helen and Gortani both blurted out in unison.
