272: Chapter 51 Sleepless night_2 272: Chapter 51 Sleepless night_2 Ning Yu smiled faintly and sat aside with Avril, curious to see what Liu Zhenhan was up to, only to be waved away cryptically by him.

Liu Zhenhan took out a dagger and sword and placed them all on the wooden table.

The chilling weapons made the air in the kiln instantly cold, causing the three Green Demon Shamans to beco slightly restless.

“Co here!” Liu Zhenhan took a large piece of wood and presented it to the three Green Demon Shamans.

“Look, is this cherry wood?”

“This cherry tree is over a hundred years old.” The three Green Demon Shamans responded in unison.

“This tree is too soft.

It wouldn’t do well for hitting people.” Liu Zhenhan picked up the dagger and, as if peeling an apple, easily split the chunk of cherry wood into several pole-thick rods.

“Indeed, indeed…” The three Green Demon shamans nodded and bowed continuously.

Although cherry wood wasn’t the best kind of wood, it was still adequate for hitting people.

Of course, compared to the earth viper whip, it was indeed inferior.

“Now, craft a staff,” Liu Zhenhan instructed the oldest Green Demon Shaman, embedding the dagger into the table.

The old Green Demon didn’t dare to refuse and hurriedly pulled out the dagger.

With great effort, and a strained face turning the color of a purple eggplant, he finally managed to withdraw the dagger.

Carving lines and strange patterns was sothing the old Green Demon was familiar with.

The dagger was sharp, and in no ti at all, he had made a staff.

Liu Zhenhan fetched a bottle of red Morlando Flying Bird blood from a box and handed it to the old Green Demon.

The old Green Demon Shaman imrsed the cherry staff into the glass bottle, touching the surface of the red magical beast blood.

Closing his eyes, as if in contemplation, he looked as though a marvelous attraction was guiding the red Morlando Flying Bird blood to slowly flow up from the bottom of the staff, and into the interconnected grooves between the lines and patterns, until it had soaked into the staff.

The old Green Demon opened his eyes.

Liu Zhenhan took the staff, the Morlando Flying Bird blood in the grooves continuing to flow as he moved it, yet never dripping off.

Previously, Liu Zhenhan couldn’t feel anything from the staffs of the Green Demons, but this staff, filled with the blood of the Morlando Flying Bird, had allowed Liu Zhenhan to clearly sense the elental power fluctuations emanating from it.

“Try its power.” Liu Zhenhan tossed the staff back to the old Green Demon Shaman.

The old Green Demon Shaman cast a spell with the staff, emitting a red glow that enveloped the two young Green Demon Shamans.

After two roars, their bodies started to bulge, their originally withered faces puffing up like inflated balloons.

The leaf-like green hair on their bodies stood on end.

Red bloodlust glowed in the eyes of the two Green Demons, and they slowly advanced toward Liu Zhenhan, who stood behind the table.

Liu Zhenhan coolly watched the two, folding his arms.

His gaze was like that of a giant elephant staring down at two ants beneath its feet.

The bloodlust and rationality struggled in the eyes of the two Green Demons.

They trembled as they raised their arms as if to strangulate, only to be slapped in the face by Liu Zhenhan.

The slaps were so hard that the two Green Demons started crying, they also woke up from their frenzy.

One of the Green Demons’ retinas was even dislocated from the blows—he crouched on the ground fumbling around like a blind man.

“Obischillaci!

The power of top-grade magical beast blood is indeed trendous!” Liu Zhenhan chuckled coldly, fetching a chair to sit down.

He picked up a dagger, picked up a rod of cherry wood, and started carving.

“Could he be trying to craft a staff too?” The two Green Demons who hadn’t been blinded simultaneously rolled their eyes.

As they had guessed, Liu Zhenhan indeed wanted to use the way of the Green Demon Shamans in utilizing elental power to craft an instantaneous war song staff.

From the mont Liu Zhenhan arrived in this world, he never stopped learning and exploring the road to higher and stronger power.

Although his own war songs had great flaws, Liu Zhenhan never thought of giving up on them.

As long as sothing was within reach, Liu Zhenhan would never give it up.

The Bimon War Song, due to its intricate tune consisting of divine language and ancient elvish, could not be described with Bimon language, but Liu Zhenhan’s self-created war songs were different; they were completely in Chinese.

“Blood-like Hair” – “Soul Chain War Song”, “General Order” – “Berserk War Song”, “My Ho is on the Red Soil Slope” – “Jiang’s Patience and Fortitude Song”, along with a rarely used “Standing on the High Mountain” – “Spirit Communication War Song” in the end, these four war songs made up all the war songs Liu Zhenhan had gained understanding of on his own.

In the past, each battle would lead to him understanding a new war song, but this frequency has now obviously decreased.

Even the inspiration of a genius will eventually run dry.

Liu Zhenhan himself did not believe that he could create as many diverse war songs as the Bimon priests by relying on his comprehension power alone.

If he wished to dominate the world with these four war songs, then he must find another way.

It was the sa ssage that Avril’s Magic Clamshell Scroll and Shamans of Green Demons had hinted at him; it was – speed.

During Liu Zhenhan’s ti in his cave, not all of it was spent dual-cultivating.

He also devoted a lot of ti with Avril in researching the mysterious array diagrams on the Magic Clamshell Scroll and the common points among elental powers.

Liu Zhenhan had never regarded the elental powers as anything mysterious.

To him, any form of elental powers is science.

The Forbidden Curses of human mages, in reality, are not much different from missiles and heavy artillery, the difference is rely that one uses explosives and steel, whereas the other uses the omnipresent elental molecules in the air for integration.

The so-called Bimon war songs are also a way of applying the elental powers to increase and stimulate potential life energy.

Though there were a lot of things he still didn’t understand, as long as he had a systematic plan, these were no longer things Liu Zhenhan needed to fret about.

Everyone knows that one plus one equals two, but who has ever studied why it equals two?

Before Liu Zhenhan enlisted in the army, even though his academic standard was not very high, he was quite proficient in writing Chinese characters, let alone carving.

Prior to joining the army, Liu Zhenhan and his older brother used to carve out tiles to play Mahjong from any pieces of wood and wax they could find.

The task of carving lyrics onto wood was not much different.

His older brother loved to take him around to make rubbings of ancient inscriptions and forced him to practice calligraphy.

When they were young and food was scarce, the two brothers saved their portions for their younger sister, satiating their own hunger with their love of the arts instead.

His brother dread of becoming a calligrapher, and Liu Zhenhan dread of becoming a painter.

Even though Liu Zhenhan appeared to be crude, he did possess so artistic talent.

However, many talented individuals from his era were unfortunately overlooked.

The Green Demons were surprised to see tears shimring in the eyes of their Overlord as he started to carve on the cherry wood handle.

These were genuine tears without a hint of pretense, a stark contrast to his usual ruthless deanor.

“Life, oh life…” an old Green Demon murmured thoughtfully, wiping the corner of his eye, his heart filled with reminiscence.

The Green Demon beside him thought his companion was being rather foolish.

His mouth was puffed up from where he had been slapped, and another, blind, was groping along the red soil wall.

Liu Zhenhan’s skills had beco slightly rusty, and it took him about one hour to carve a staff for each war song.

After finishing, he stretched his body contentedly and nodded in satisfaction.

He thought he might find so ti to carve a set of Mahjong tiles next ti, just enough for a family of four to play.

But then ca the question of how to get the blood of the magical beasts into the carved words.

Liu Zhenhan had no idea.

Could it be done through ditation as well?

Liu Zhenhan decided to give it a try, taking out several types of magical beast blood from a box that corresponded to the different colors of the war song halos, and tried using the thod of ditation.

He had never generated song power through ditation before, and sure enough, this attempt proved futile too.

Liu Zhenhan was not one to give up easily.

He tried again, this ti attempting to infuse song power into the blood the sa way he would into magic crystals.

The magical beast’s blood bubbled up, becoming round like fish roe, and filled the entire glass bottle, but still, it wouldn’t flow onto the staff like the Shaman of the Green Demons could make it do.

Liu Zhenhan fell into deep thought.

After so pondering, he decided to return to his cave and fetch a goose quill pen, planning to try applying the magical beast’s blood onto his war songs.

As he walked out of the cave, he saw a vague silhouette sitting on a jutting rock on the Red Soil Slope.

This rock was a sort of arm sticking out from the stone statue in the middle of the Red Soil Slope.

The arm had been broken off in so year, and now only a jagged protruding arm remained.

Even from a distance, Liu Zhenhan could recognize who the silhouette was.

There was only one person in Feicui who had such a slender figure and wings on her back.
