The "Night Sonata Battle" allowed the Sea Clan army to regain the initiative on the Aegean Battlefield, forcing the Human race army, which had been passively defending all along, to launch a frenzied counterattack.
The Human race had no choice; a step back would lead to their holand, and they couldn’t just watch the vast Sea Clan army enter the flat and defenseless heart of the Aegean without resistance.
At this critical juncture, any fancy strategies were useless jokes. The huge disparity in overall strength left the Human race army with no option but to fight desperately, to reclaim the strategic terrains, in order to engage the Sea Clan in a protracted struggle of ti, geography, and human harmony.
After seizing the most perilous areas of the Alps Wetland, the Sea Clan engineers quickly constructed new defensive fortifications on the "Wall of Sighs" in the Forgotten Valley, which was full of holes and ruins, using the advantageous terrain to stubbornly resist the counterattack from the Human race army.
What was unknown to many was that the Sea Clan engineers also had extraordinary talent in construction, comparable to the Aegean Elves.
The Elves could use the "Eternal Moon Well" and "Tree of Life" to proliferate countless little elves, who then absorbed the essence of forest trees, rapidly spawning nurous wooden structures. The Sea Clan’s construction model was remarkably similar in principle; their cultivated "Coral Worm Mother" could rapidly breed nurous coral worms. These coral worms fed on stones, and the excrent expelled from their apertures would cool down and solidify into hard and solid coral reefs.
In the barren stone-lacking Donau Wasteland, the Sea Clan engineers could only sigh with helplessness, but it was different in the Kalimdo Plains. Here, stones were as abundant as sand on the seabed, providing ample food for the coral worms, making the construction of field fortifications a non-issue for the Sea Clan.
Compared to the "Wall of Sighs" hurriedly constructed by human refugees and valley dwarfs with straw stems and ramd earth, the "Coral Sea Defense Line" hastily erected by the Sea Clan had a tougher physical barrier and taller firepower platforms.
Faced with the relentless, round-the-clock offensive of the Human race army, the "Coral Sea Defense Line" played a trendous role as a barrier. The thick and sturdy coral reefs not only significantly reduced the casualties of Sea Clan warriors but also allowed the "Caribbean Orbital Ship" occupying the high ground to completely suppress the Human race’s heavy machinery, letting the humans taste the bitterness of sending troops to die increntally.
This was due to the limited ti; if the Human race’s offensive could pause for just two days, the Sea Clan engineers would be able to transform the coral reefs into their most accustod honeycomb trench positions, causing even greater harm to the Human race army!
After continuous and relentless assaults for two days and three nights, the Human race army outside Forgotten Valley finally ceased their attacks. This hellishly brutal struggle claid the lives of millions of soldiers on both sides, turning the Alps Wetland into a veritable blood marsh soaked with tons of blood.
The re-empowered Storm Splitter warriors, with their nurical superiority, let the Aegean Humans taste what true magic coverage ant. Occupying absolutely advantageous terrain, the Sea Clan warriors saw their physical disadvantages greatly mitigated, narrowing the casualty ratio between the two forces for the first ti.
The Human race also demonstrated to the Sea Clan the true strength of the Aegean land dominators. Besides the fierce human warriors causing mbers of the Sea Clan to suffer, the new magic corps ford by Vatican priests, wandering mages, and rogue sorcerers had completely replaced the forr formal mage units. Auxiliary spells like "Bloodlust," seemingly unremarkable, inflicted horrendous area damage on the Sea Clan cannon fodder troops that had ingested "death pills"—under the coverage of the "Berserk War Song," Sea Clan cannon fodder was bound to die, but under the coverage of "Bloodlust," many still survived despite vomiting copious amounts of blood. However, these casualties would only further burden the Sea Clan army’s logistics, making the cost-effectiveness of "Bloodlust" superior to "Berserk War Song."
The late Great Magician Saint Chiao Puskas was once again rembered and revered for his brilliant magic achievents: the Human race’s Qi Mages team used the widely regarded worthless Qi magic "Engelvefar" to severely wound the proud Sea Clan army. The dual-trained Goblin Clan Magic Shark warriors—specialized in self-destructing to unleash savage and formidable combat power—were a ferocious elite of the Sea Clan troops! Similar to the suicide battle songs of Beamon priests, the Goblin’s suicide body explosion had the characteristic of a chain reaction that was difficult to stop once initiated. In normal circumstances, over-inflating a Magic Shark warrior’s body to the point of self-destruction was unlikely, but "Engelvefar" allowed remote-controlled self-destruction—the Qi breast enlargent technique lit up the fatal fuse on the Magic Shark warriors’ bodies. Only the most magically resilient high-ranking Goblin warriors could withstand such disasters, but regrettably, in large crowds, standout strongn are always few.
The Aegean Magic Guild also publicly revealed long-hidden secrets. It turned out that Master Puskas initially invented the Qi magic "Engelvefar" in anticipation of the second Sea-land War, rather than for use at the Red Mill.
