Sy is a noble among nobles, a gentleman among gentlen; every swan admires frankness and integrity, and has a personality that clearly distinguishes between gratitude and grievance. Given that Beamon and Lucian are now comrades on the anti-invasion alliance front, the old Duke Bruckner cannot sit idly by and watch the scene unfold before him—his high moral standards and upright character won’t allow him to watch the Aegean Allied Forces co to aid London City only to suffer heavy, senseless casualties at the hands of the Sea Clan invasion due to the commanders’ inaction.

The situation of the Lucian army is far worse than dire; as soon as the battle began, the "Double Flying Battle Formation" couldn’t get its sickle and hamr wings up in the air.

The left flank, composed of wolf-legged spider chariots and saber-toothed beast chariots forming a sickle edge, was first choked off by the Naga’s sea lion stone ball chariots, preventing its rushing speed from fully ramping up. Then the swift cavalry of the elephant riders stabbed into the waist of the Lucian chariot forces, completely disrupting their formation.

One thousand two hundred and fifty heavy chariots lost their montum, like a bloated python with all its joints broken, squirming endlessly on the black asphalt ground but unable to escape a passive pounding.

The gray Dwarf infantry on the right wing in the hamr position was divided into two groups by the Naga, one group entangled in a lee with the elephant riders and the sea lion stone ball chariots, the other caught tightly by the Naga’s heavy and light infantry groups.

The two thousand Naga elephant riders played a crucial role as the backbone during the campaign. Aside from coordinating the sea lion stone ball chariots in a fierce assault on half the centaur flank of the Lucian army, another thousand elephant riders executed a large-scale tactical outflanking maneuver, surrounding the Lucian army from both sides and sealing off their rear.

This rear attack by the Naga’s light cavalry posed such a great threat that the long-range attack forces located in the middle of the "Double Flying Battle Formation," aside from two thousand river elf archers and so mages suppressing the enemy’s wave of attacks head-on, had to assign another thousand river elf archers to turn back and cooperate with other mages to counter the rear-threatening elephant cavalry. If it weren’t for the overwhelming number of Fallen Mages, their powerful magic, an extensive fire web, and the land-based impact of the elephant cavalry being sowhat underwhelming, that Naga light cavalry encirclent would have definitely spelled doom for the Lucian army—because the troop positioned at the tail end of the "Double Flying Battle Formation" is none other than one thousand of the most precious Fallen Mages.

What spells disaster for the Lucian army is the fact that the Naga forces have not yet exerted their full strength, with a staggering sixty thousand infantry yet to join the battle.

To this very mont, over ten thousand roaming eagle-bull air force units continually block off the Naga’s light cavalry scouts without room for movent. The inability to ascertain how many enemy reserve forces might be hidden behind the endless expanse of asphalt-covered hills forces the Naga commanders to remain conservative, leaving themselves as many poker chips as possible based on the developnt of the battle situation.

Considering both sides have committed air force units, the troops deployed by Lucian and Naga are roughly equal, approximately twelve to thirteen thousand each; yet the sa amount of troops presents a different situation. Besides their formation being suppressed by the enemy, the twenty thousand Lucian air force units committed to battle have virtually no impact apart from purging the Naga scouts. Restricted by the Naga’s engineering crossbow forces, they can only hover at high altitudes to drop less-than-precise and ineffective aerial bombs and javelins, then promptly return to reload—lacking powerful aerial bombs like the Verdant Cold Oil lon, not every air force can adapt the airborne bombing tactics purely by imitation. The air combat thod currently employed by the Lucian air force, which rely imitates others, is less effective than their old low-altitude swooping tactic used in the past, though employing it certainly displays a significant increase in casualties...

The battle has reached a white-hot level, with dense gamma rays, pearl shot, flying arrows, dried fish bowstrings, ramd earth bullets, and oil bombs weaving a vast network in mid-air, like the pen of Death painting back and forth on the battlefield, portraying hellish ukiyo-e composed of blood.

The old Duke Bruckner, who has been closely observing the situation, believes it’s ti for Roml to deploy the reserves.

If the situation worsens, the Lucian army will be compressed by the Naga forces into fragnted groups. Even if they deploy Hell Black Dragons and the eagle-bull air force to win the battle, the casualties would be astronomically high—though the eight-headed Hell Black Dragon does possess terrifying strength, if the soldiers from both sides beca totally entangled, the Black Dragon’s fire magic power would inadvertently cause friendly fire.

It’s not just the old Duke who sees the dire situation; others perceive it as well—why the Fallen Army can continue to sustain itself is due to two reasons. One, on the frontal battlefield, the five thousand gray Dwarves heavy infantry led by eight kings of the hill, which boast mighty blades and impenetrable armor, with strength and equipnt exceedingly fierce; two, the sheer quantity of Fallen Mages in the rear formation, whose magical firepower completely outstrips that of Naga. If even one gray Dwarf warrior or Fallen Mage slipped, the Lucian Army would be on the brink of a thousand-mile collapse...

The one primarily responsible for commanding the battle is Roml, this mixed-blood Fawkes, though he downplays his mastery of "carbonaceous essence" extraction as being effortless, anyone with a shred of intelligence knows that secretly learning this art from the Blood Elves is as challenging as reaching the moon.
