Capítulo 2054: Chapter 647: The Wealth of War
This is a giant panda with rather obvious violent characteristics.
Just sitting there, it is more than three ters tall, with ferociously glaring black eye circles and a massive, round belly. Its three-inch steel claws holding the bamboo flash with a mystical light like a divine weapon, and its sharp fangs make it chew through bamboo with a “crack-crack” as cleanly and swiftly as a knife through tofu.
Helen, Liu Shock, and His Majesty the King were montarily stunned by this gigantic panda, with a bamboo-leaf hat on its head. At first glance, it looked like a rough version of the Maitreya Buddha; on second glance, it resembled an albino Misha.
“What… what is its na again?” Liu Shock didn’t clearly catch the quirky na that Tevis had just ntioned. This wild giant panda and the endearingly naive national treasure look exactly alike, yet their temperants are two extres.
“It’s called Pixiu, a unique beast on our Silk Continent.” Tevis put his fingers to his mouth and whistled at the giant panda. This massive wild pet hesitated a bit, reluctantly tossing the yellow bamboo clutched in its claws to its ceremonial master.
“Pixiu is born with the ability to sniff out mineral veins with its nose. It feeds solely on tal, and the excrent it produces is the refined essence of tal after digestion and purification in its stomach.” Tevis handed the yellow bamboo to His Majesty for appraisal: “My ‘Pavarotti’ is ferocious in battle but usually just a sweet and lovable young girl.”
Feeling a bit heavy in his hand, Old Liu took a closer look and realized that the bamboo was actually a counterfeit crafted out of brass, with bold yet ticulous carving, showing great craftsmanship.
“Eating tal and excreting refined tal?” King Sal rolled his eyes for a while: “It’s said that it takes a thousand pounds of gold to refine a grain-sized piece of Jing Gold. Can Pixiu chew up gold and excrete Jing Gold?”
“Your Majesty, gold is extrely soft; even I can chew it, let alone Pixiu.” Tevis laughed: “Besides its sharp teeth, Pixiu’s saliva also has a special power to decompose tal structures! As long as it’s tal, there’s nothing it can’t chew through!”
“Such an impressive bite; even a Giant Dragon, if bitten by it, would probably cry for half a day.” Liu Shock toyed with the brass bamboo in his hand, repeatedly nodding at the mirror-smooth fracture. This panda girl nad Pavarotti irresistibly reminded him of the gold-obsessed desert ants. They too, as beasts lacking elental power, could outmatch most Magical Beasts in close combat.
“Pixiu can find mineral veins and eat tal to produce refined tals?” Helen was greatly amazed: “Then isn’t it the dream companion of all blacksmiths and alchemists? In the tal forging industry, both finding mineral veins and the refining process to remove tal impurities are the most ti-consuming and labor-intensive steps, considered to be very costly!”
“In fact, on the Eastern Continent, Pixiu are exactly the professional alchemy beasts raised by the craftsn.” Miss Mizuno’s slightly tender face had admiration written on the left and envy on the right. Ever since the charming little fox appeared, she had been paying close attention throughout.
“Does the Tang Zang Empire have such good stuff? Hmm? Richard, shouldn’t you communicate more with the Fifth Prince…” Helen flicked Old Liu’s calf with her fiery red tail. This bold action perford by the little fox didn’t feel out of place even in public, only emanating irresistible charm.
“Can you show this panda girl in her full glory aura state?” Liu Shock pouted at Tevis while simultaneously flicking the cigar butt to the ground.
“Happy to serve, Your Majesty!” Tevis clapped his hands at the panda engrossed in chewing: “Pavarotti, quickly show your battle form to His Majesty!”
Wobbling its flesh-mountain-like body slowly half-upright, with an “Aw~~~” of an earth-shattering roar, it inhaled deeply, and the panda’s body instantly soared three to four tis larger, like a towering iron pagoda standing on the city wall, its imnse weight squeezing the granite bricks to creak ominously.
The needle-like black and white mane around its neck stood on end, and its enormous pupils, encircled by black halos, spat battle fury. It continuously swung its nine-inch sharp steel claws while scanning the surroundings as if eager to fight a nonexistent enemy to the death.
Around the body of this gigantic panda, a magnificent overlapping aura shimred.
As true insiders, Helen and Liu Shock easily recognized which war songs were present in the aura.
Song of Misha’s Physique, the aura of endurance.
Symphony of the Heavenly Calamity Bone Bell, the aura of poison resistance.
Awakening of Tinecos, the aura of strength amplification.
Song of the Soul Chain, the fourfold life aura.
Song of Forest Murmur, the petrified skin armor aura.
Lordaeron’s Sentinel Song, the Lightning Shield.
Goddess of the Forest’s Forgiveness, the agility aura.
Dussel’s Eagle Eye Ambition, the focus aura, increasing vision and eyesight.
And add one ace combo of Bimon War Song, Berserk Light of sobriety.
A gigantic beast bearing ten glorious auras, can it still be considered a beast?
Shouldn’t we follow the habit of calling it a “Song Beast” instead of a Magical Beast?
Old Liu and the King nodded and applauded together, while Helen cheerfully stepped forward, stroking the furry paw of this massive panda, confident that the battle pet shared his master’s intentions. The little fox wasn’t afraid of this creature suddenly turning against them.
