Capítulo 2044: Chapter 645: The Final Battle, an Early Showdown (Part 6)

Guoguo stood on Prince Similian’s chest, smiling with two charming dimples. She gripped a needle-shaped steel spike, holding it firmly against Prince Similian’s neck, and with another paw, mischievously pointed at Prince Rhincor and then towards the direction of the southern gate tower.

Everyone turned their heads stupidly like marionettes.

Under the brightly lit southern gate tower of Witherspoon, dozens of gold unicorns, towering at ten ters and with primordial size, lined up one after another. They raised their spiraled horns, as thick and long as flagpoles, snorting heavily, and dug into the ground with hooves as large as Roman columns.

The main gates of Witherspoon suddenly opened wide, and amidst the dark shadows of the building contours, pairs of bloodthirsty eyes filled with hatred flashed.

It’s a privilege to see everyone’s enthusiastic discussions.

First, let’s explain an old issue: if the Seven-degree Gold Rings leave the ground at too high an altitude, they cannot be used. This was clearly explained after the defense of Florence, so the scene of stones being frantically thrown from the air is impossible. The greatest use of the Seven-degree Gold Rings is for transportation, and together with the magic teleportation array, they are the backbone of Florence’s ability to execute Frog Jump Tactics.

Secondly, Witherspoon has already concentrated the essence of the entire Bimon nation. Regarding the personnel defending the other three walls, I’ve already explained in previous texts. Here not only congregates the temple and Florence, but also the elite forces of the kingdom’s military and Mourinho, along with support from the Prairie Elves and the Tang Zang Empire.

Apart from planted beasts, Arrow Gang archers, and bombing-type phantom beasts, Liu Zhenshock has contributed over three thousand sonic blade musicians to the Bimon Kingdom. Their sonic blade attacks are no less powerful than advanced magic; they are just slightly deficient in speed of release. And the total number of mages in the human world gathered together doesn’t reach two thousand. Comparing these numbers illustrates what a concept it is, doesn’t it? Although the attack thod of these musicians is monotonic, it is comparable to high-level area attack spells with elental sonic blades!

Even if the Hymur alliance isn’t restrained by the Totem Pillar of War Songs, they still hold no advantage in magic. I doubt that even with over a thousand priests plus three thousand musicians and the foundations of several major families, they can’t handle just a re two thousand Hymur mages!

A reader brother said that I’m like a duck with a stubborn mouth… haha…

How should I put it? I think it is necessary to supplent so readers with a simple military knowledge ——– siege and defense is not just gangster fighting, simply seeing which side has more soldiers and generals to win. Otherwise, Commander Yuan wouldn’t have made the Jurchens utterly helpless at Ningyuan City back in the day.

The fronts of Witherspoon’s four walls all have limited width. The hundred forty thousand Hymur army can’t all press in to attack the city, because there is no space to allow all one hundred forty thousand to fully deploy! The Hymur alliance can only use an oil-supplying style attack, continually filling people in, which is the helplessness of siege warfare. Even if you have enormous tactical command ability, there’s no choice other than this brute-force approach.

Of course, Bimon’s army similarly can’t all be packed on the city wall.

The southern gate tower’s Sumr Palace guards and Temple Knights combined with the House archers total only over ten thousand. And the remaining Bimon warriors? Isn’t Wei City equipped with over two hundred thousand ard warriors? Where have they gone?

They are, of course, reserve troops!

Not discussing other aspects, how many tis can archers continuously draw their bows? The warriors, of course, need rest and rotation! If Bimon cramd over twenty thousand on all four walls at once, then they might as well be called an airport, not a city wall.

So don’t be misled by the Hymur alliance having one hundred forty thousand mighty troops; the actual number of enemies Bimon needs to engage within the region is roughly equal on both sides, or maybe even in Bimon’s favor —- this is the geographical advantage of the defending side!

The frequently ntioned “reserve troops,” “second echelon,” “wave assaults,” and the emphasis on advantageous environnts in previous texts convey this aning.

I firmly believe in the theory of ecological advantage. If in the ocean, Bimon might not win against the Sea Clan. Similarly, if the Sea Clan is on land and isn’t overwhelming in numbers, they absolutely aren’t a match for the land races —- and don’t forget, their long-range attack units cannot be brought onto land!

Regarding destabilizing balance, I would never admit it, as I have always paid attention to maintaining balance —- in my view, if the Hymur alliance or the future demon army, relying on nurical advantage and equipnt superiority, freely attacks the leading race with the sparse population of the Bimon Kingdom, then that would truly be imbalance!

The Aegean is still in the cold weapon era, so the lack of information, news, and reconnaissance is normal. Zhu Di, during his five conquests in Mongolia, got lost twice. With modern perspectives, wouldn’t that seem laughable? But in the cold weapon era, it was normal and nothing peculiar; everyone has their own thods.

In the war to defend the nation, losses are unavoidable, but expelling invaders doesn’t necessarily require a painful struggle. I’ve ntioned that Florence had zero casualties from start to finish — quite zero indeed. Actually, think carefully; haven’t all battles Liu Zhenshock experienced relied on terrain? Haven’t they depended on superior equipnt and warriors’ prowess? With overwhelming forces and advanced weapons, achieving zero casualties is hardly surprising!

Speaking of old topics, what if we skip tactics organization and if Avril’s tower fired at Old Liu first, what would the consequences be?

Probably not even a single Bimon would die!

Kaka might not notice the Temple Knights a few miles away, but surely could notice those nearby!

Throughout Chinese history, there are nurous examples of small forces defeating larger ones. Comparing Chen Qingzhi’s seven thousand white-robed troop crossing the river or the Qi family’s army losing only a few dozen or even a few soldiers per battle, beast blood’s achievents are re child’s play.

The above are just thoughts to provoke further discussion; the major strategy has already been laid out, and both the Sea Clan and Demon Clan have fatal weaknesses. Now is the ti to deal with them…
