Chapter 2010: Chapter 640: Needle Point Against Wheat Awn (Part 2)
The mini whale warrior’s unperturbed deanor did not arouse any suspicion from anyone.
After walking for a good half-day, “the Answer” estimated that he had traveled at least five miles within the Sea Clan’s military camp, yet the woodworking workshop still seed endless. Massive logs, dozens of ters long, were piled like small mountains both east and west, and the ground was covered in sawdust and shavings as thick as snow, swirling into the eyes with the wind.
“Hey!” Iverson called out to ten Mulan warriors carrying a log toward the craftsn, gesturing as he asked, “Do you know how big this place really is?”
The ten shirtless, oil-slick Mulan bearded n looked dumbfounded at the short sea tribe knight, stunned for a mont, and then pointed to their mouths and ears, shaking their heads to indicate they didn’t understand him.
“A bunch of idiots!” Iverson scolded with displeasure, “You can’t even speak a foreign language, yet you dare venture out into the world. Get out of my sight!”
“Who is this guy? What’s he saying?” asked one Mulan man carrying wood to his partner as they walked along, “He’s so short yet so fierce.”
“I reckon he’s either a water spider knight or a crab knight. Judging by his mount, it could be one of these sea knights, but his face looks sowhat like a whale warrior,” his companion replied. “Let’s get to work. These sea tribe mbers are quite barbaric; they eat fish raw. Let’s not converse with such barbarians.”
Iverson found no answers and rolled his eyes with a “pop, pop.”
Continuing aimlessly like this was not an option; this military camp appeared to be quite large.
Tilting his head and considering for a mont, he had the Blade Spider crawl up the nearest tallest woodpile, shading his eyes with his hand to survey the surroundings.
Just as expected!
This camp covered at least a hundred miles, with rows of snail and shell-like barracks transforming this wilderness into a coral reef. Within thirty to fifty miles around, wood was piled high like mountains with busy craftsn, and the southeast wind blew sawdust around like a sandstorm.
To the extre north lay a massive Mulan army formation advancing towards Witherspoon. Iverson only took a brief glance before quickly donning his sunglasses, nearly dazzled by the blinding War Song Halo and magical tides.
The strangest sight was on the far west side, where nurous ant-like sea tribe mbers were assembling a steel skeleton, densely packed with scaffolding, appearing like they were building a steel pyramid. It was enormous, seemingly taller than Witherspoon’s city walls. Iverson suspected it might be the enemy’s cross-city machinery, used to send infantry straight onto the city walls, much like a roller coaster.
On the far east side, within a sapphire blue shield, were masses of fish stored in giant shells, piled into towering mountains on the ground. These fish all had their tails pointing upwards, bouncing energetically due to the moisture-retaining barrier, behaving as if they were still in the ocean, although now unable to swim.
This was evidently the logistical supply base for the Sea Clan alliance, as beyond vast quantities of fish, countless seaweed and sea fruit were stacked neatly in enormous shells, resembling haystacks. Additionally, large wooden barrels over five ters high were piled into tower-like formations akin to wine cellars, emanating a sour cheese ferntation sll from afar.
Spectacular! Truly spectacular! Iverson thought, no wonder the Sumr Palace’s guard had such a small contingent; establishing a large legion was indeed costly, and rely preparing this much food would be a huge undertaking.
After spitting a bit and determining the wind speed and area, “the Answer” quickly finalized the arson plan.
The Difeng Giant was naturally a fire expert, having dealt with flas all his life; he was already quite adept. Initially, with the fierce southeast wind on the plains, burning down the entire woodworking workshop would have been no problem. But now, having seen the enemy’s logistical supply base, Iverson couldn’t let it go.
“You, and you! Co here!” Iverson, riding the Blade Spider, climbed down from the wood mountain and motioned to two Mulan n who were sawing.
The two Mulan n, still bewildered, received slaps that sent stars spinning before their eyes. The fierce Blade Spider scraped its sharp sword-like jaw, emitting a screeching sound, intimidating the dumbfounded craftsn. A foreman quickly turned his head away, pretending not to see it.
In the Sea Clan alliance, distinguishing between prominent figures and ordinary soldiers was made simple by looking at the elaborate nature of one’s armor, as neither sea tribe mbers nor Mulanese had tal armor for ordinary soldiers.
Napoleon the little giant’s armor was self-made, attached without rivets, with fla welding and a geared chanism. Even the Blade Spider was covered in magnificent horseshoe-shaped armor, befitting the style of a Sea Clan alliance’s big shot.
Iverson had the two Mulan n obediently hold the tape and sundial, while he corrected the angles and latitude, adjusted the direction, and drew six different spots on the ground nearby with charcoal.
This was a six-point plum blossom fire formation. With so much wood as fuel, the six ignition points could burn the woodworking workshop to ashes while using the heated wind to alter air circulation. By leveraging the rotational effect, they could shift the southeast wind’s original westward direction to an eastward one, setting the Sea Clan alliance’s logistical supply base ablaze.
