1275: Chapter 353: Arrogant Princess 1275: Chapter 353: Arrogant Princess Gude, clad in heavy armor, carried a gleaming halberd and was the first to step out of the Caliph Royal City’s gate, followed by dozens of rotund Panta Warriors with fierce black rings around their eyes.

These Panta Warriors, their blood-drenched halberds a testant to their martial rit, seed unaffected by what must have been a lopsided battle.

Many lazily chewed on bamboo in their mouths as they escorted two figures, one tall and one short, out of the city gates.

Liu Zhenhan had long heard of the renowned Princess Nancy from Kalimantan and, at last, she appeared before him.

The Liger Princess bore wheat-gold locks, a black ‘king’ character on her forehead, a cute button nose with a touch of freckles, and stood at least two ters tall.

Slender yet not ungainly, she carried a hint of the kingly aura of His Majesty Grecke Sal, looking down upon the world with a commanding presence.

Although not strikingly beautiful, she had a distinct martial charm.

When the princess was captured by the Desert People last year, Liu Zhenhan had just moved with his family to the Red Earth Highland, where he battled bandits in the wild amidst the chilly autumn winds.

Back then, he was nothing but a clueless bumpkin, tender and naive like green onion.

And now, in the blink of an eye, here stood Liu Zhenhan, as a spokesperson for the divine, in a foreign land facing the Princess of the Bimon Kingdom.

Even Liu Zhenhan himself sighed at the thought of it.

Life, oh life…

Liu Zhenhan couldn’t help but be filled with emotion.

“Lord Shaman Mourinho, may I ask which one is Richard?

I want to thank his follower for rescuing from the thieves’ lair!” Princess Nancy’s erald-like pupils scoured the surroundings; she noticed Liu Zhenhan but quickly looked away.

Old Liu felt quite snubbed, so he coughed loudly a few tis.

“Your Highness, this is the kingdom’s newly recognized Shaman of Divine Songs, Richard.” Mourinho pointed to Liu Zhenhan, who was clad in Hedgehog-like heavy armor and coughing violently like a consumptive.

With several crisp ‘click’ sounds, so court guards disengaged the gears of the “Crown Thorns Armor,” releasing the encased Shaman of Divine Songs.

Old Liu wiped his punk-style long hair and took the crown and skull necklace handed to him by Vieri, nodding at Princess Nancy.

“By the War God!

When did our kingdom get a human Shaman of Divine Songs?

I thought it was said to be Piegel?” Princess Nancy exclaid in surprise.

Her words inadvertently pierced the unspoken truth that no one in the Bimon Kingdom dared to utter—no matter how one looked at it, the current Liu Zhenhan certainly did not resemble a Piegel.

Despite his dyed golden hair, the color of his eyes, skin, and facial features were decidedly not characteristic of any Bimon race.

The Bimon present all felt awkward, and Liu Zhenhan was even more embarrassed.

How was he supposed to explain this to the princess?

Mourinho looked up at the sky, pretending not to hear.

“Is such doubt really what Your Highness should express upon eting a Shaman of Divine Songs?” The court guard Rodman glared at Princess Nancy, visibly furious.

“Your Highness, please do not doubt the War God’s insight!” The left pri minister, Nedved, added coldly, “If the spokesperson for the divine isn’t a Bimon, who else could be chosen?”

These sharp remarks indeed extricated Liu Zhenhan from a tight spot.

Princess Nancy imdiately realized her mistake.

As a savvy mber of royalty, she quickly made a reverential bow to the distinguished Richard, murmured a few formal pleasantries, and backed away.

Past Shamans had been utter disappointnts, unfit for the battlefield or the temple, so Princess Nancy swiftly engaged in conversation with Lord Mourinho, leaving Liu Zhenhan hung out to dry—The princess, having been rescued, had not yet had the chance to enquire who was behind the Kalimantan campaign plans and had presumptuously assud that the chief priest in charge must have been Lord Mourinho, the Swan.

Liu Zhenhan sighed.

He had thought the princess would throw herself into his arms and weep, then he would gently stroke her hair and kindly say sothing lodramatic like, “Child, you’ve suffered.” But things were clearly not going that way.

“Damn it!” Liu Zhenhan felt even more aggrieved as he watched a crowd gather around the princess, showering her with kind inquiries.

“Boss!

Let introduce you, this is my own brother, Gu Chuan,” General Pan said, cheerfully bringing over another stout and towering Panta Warrior.

“Hello, boss!” The Panta Warrior stood up straight, his broad face resembling Gude’s, although still slightly youthful.

Yet, a mature warrior’s gaze was evident in his eyes, encircled by his black rings, exhibiting staunch resilience and aggressive ferocity—in short, another character with a clear predilection for violence.

However, tucked behind his waist were several bamboo shoots marked with bite impressions, complete with green branches and leaves, sowhat undermining his tough guy image.

“Haha!

Since when am I your boss?” Liu Zhenhan playfully punched Pan Ershuai in the chest and greeted all the Panta Warriors around him.

“Boss!

We’ve all been watching a lot of your previous battles these past few days.

You fought with such fierceness, the enemies dropped like ripe cucumbers!” Overexcited, Gu Chuan spilled out in the Panta dialect.

{PS: The Panta dialect is invented, based on the Sichuan dialect, because pandas are from Sichuan.}
