Capítulo 946: Chapter 468: Fragility

When Ronan slowly put on the last Magic-controlling Bracelet that belonged to him, the entire Magic Control Set beca completely one, and the “starry sky” before him beca flawless and perfect.

He opened his eyes, only to find that Juventus was already dead.

Besides a golden Warhamr entwined with Thunder and Flas, engraved with countless runes, he left nothing else behind.

Ronan was unsure if Juventus had seen him in the full set of gear for the last ti. A strange feeling arose in his heart, but it was soon overtaken by boundless joy.

He had never felt so good before; he seed to be omniscient and all-powerful.

Nine runes shining like star cores revolved around him, continually providing nearly endless energy, as if a whole sea of stars was nurtured within his body.

He could, effortlessly, with just a bit of energy, stir up a storm, overturn a part of the sea; Thunder, Flas, Ice Frost… elental energy of all sorts could be commanded and driven by him. He was truly the King of Magic!

If the permission to harness energy brought by the Nine-star Primordial Spirit was 1, then the control over this world in front of him by wearing the Magic Control Set was 100, or even more.

No wonder in the previous battle with Juventus, his advantage with the Nine-star Primordial Spirit was completely gone, as the opponent could easily summon Star teor and even suppress his Mara’s Body with its Thirty Three Layers Spiral Palace using the Magic Body.

With such a colossal amount of transferable energy, even the lowest-level spells could work miracles.

Ronan attempted to sense the Stars, and amidst the vast and splendid starry sky before him, several stars lit up. He heard the dull sound of ancient teors rolling over, yet he still couldn’t summon any of them down for a long ti.

“Juventus was right; this legacy indeed lacks the crucial teor summoning thod.

teoric Magic Staff…”

Ronan silently chanted this na, looking down.

The residual power of the laws of the Ship of Perpetual Darkness hadn’t dissipated yet, and the large battlefield was still in a state of absolute shock and silence.

He reached out for Songlin’s Hamr in front of him, which seed lighter than expected.

Juventus was already dead, but this battle was not yet completely over.

Under the boosting effect of the Magic Control Set, his spiritual power, enhanced exponentially, spread forth instantly, allowing Ronan to capture a few hidden battlefields. After a brief consideration, he chose a particular direction.

Yet the mont he took a step…

“Crack——”

A crisp-breaking sound stopped Ronan in his tracks.

The sound ca from himself.

Ronan slowly lowered his head, only to find a finger-length crack clearly visible on the “Heramus Infinite Magic Robe,” which flowed with the Star River as its base, dreamy and extravagant to the extre.

….

“Tear——”

Under a sky devoid of stars and moon, deeper than night, a black curtain-like void was suddenly split open by soone, and Lide Xin, with a human face and a moth’s body, holding twin swords, erged with an ugly expression.

He spread his large and peculiar moth wings behind him, with one eye-shaped pattern after another forming on the wings, emitting a faint light, creating an indescribable eerie force field that slowly dispersed to the surroundings.

Just then, a figure streaked across the void, coming at high speed.

The newcor, as if clad in the Star River, exuded a dreamy deep purple glow all over, with waist-length white hair cascading over the shoulders like stardust; the star core shining at the center of the brow, and a noble and complex purple eight-pointed star spinning endlessly in the middle of the chest.

Seeing the newcor, Lide Xin’s eyes brightened slightly, but he quickly gave a cold laugh.

“Didn’t you always claim to be a legendary genius enough to rival Heramus? How co it took you so long to deal with a re Level 5…”

The newcor said nothing, rely raising a hand.

Instantly.

An unspeakable terrifying aura rapidly converged above Lide Xin’s head, swallowing up almost all of the free energy particles in that part of the void in an instant, transforming into a black, round, moon intertwined with countless purple lines, resembling a massive forbidden magic disk or like an awe-inspiring, ancient, and mysterious eye.

The terrifying aura locked onto Lide Xin, whose expression changed instantly, showing an incredibly unbelievable look as he blurted out: “You’re not Juventus?!..”

Before finishing the sentence, the purple, crisscrossed, black hole-like moon silently burst open.

The terrifying power of annihilation burst forth instantly, swallowing Lide Xin in, causing the void where he was to shake violently, as if the space was peeling away like old, weathered paint.

When the terrifying shockwave slightly subsided, Lide Xin’s horrified soul darted out rapidly, but just as he wanted to escape, a pale hand erged from a shadow on the side and grabbed him tightly.

“I always believed it would be you who survives this battle at the end.”

Angelie elegantly erged from the shadows, nonchalantly stuffing Lide Xin’s soul into the shadow behind him like a cloak, upon which loud chewing sounds imdiately erupted, along with Lide Xin’s extrely shrill wails.

“You aren’t a picky eater at all…”

Ronan glanced at Angelie, watching as his purple crystal mask slowly dissolved on his face.

“This guy, though extrely annoying in every aspect, proved quite difficult as well.

And yet, he couldn’t even withstand a simple spell from you…”

Angelie perford the gesture of wiping his mouth after a al, looking at Ronan with a click of his tongue and expressing admiration, “Looks like you’ve gained a lot indeed.”

“After all, it’s a Forbidden Level spell, not just any simple spell casually cast…”

Ronan said lightly.

Angelie gazed into his eyes and suddenly blinked, “How co it seems like you’re not very happy?”

Ronan said nothing, falling into silence.

Angelie was right.

His Forbidden – Black Hole spell, despite having a proficiency of only a few hundreds at Master Level, amplified by the Magic User’s Suit, beca terrifyingly powerful, effortlessly annihilating Lide Xin who had reached late Level 6 strength. Yet he indeed did not feel much joy.

The reason was simple — this wasn’t entirely his power; Heramus’s Magic User’s Suit was fracturing.

The entire Heramus Mage suit now resembled a beautifully ornate porcelain with glossy outer beauty but filled with cracks inside.

And each ti he drew upon the powers of the suit, the cracks multiplied, accelerating its speed of breaking.

Ronan had never thought that a legendary magic tool, created by the genius wizard Heramus from the Upper Ring Continent, carrying all of Heramus’s legacy, could be so… fragile?!

Even an ordinary Dawn Rank magic tool set wouldn’t be completely destroyed after just a few battles, right?

After all the arduous efforts to acquire this legacy, just as he was starting to feel this unparalleled power, he found out that soon, he would lose it once again.

It was like clearing countless dungeons in a ga, completing countless quest chains, painstakingly gathering a set of top-tier divine gear, only to discover that the equipnt’s durability was just 1 point left after putting it on!

Anyone encountering such a situation would likely feel a bit unbalanced, emotionally down.

“Forget it, let’s not talk about it.”

Ronan shook his head, looking at Angelie, and said seriously, “I’ll leave the battlefield outside to you.”

Angelie looked in a certain direction, frowning, “Are you planning to enter their battlefield?”

Ronan nodded, looking at his body with flowing Star River, “Now, I barely have the qualifications to join.”

“That woman, known as the Prophet, told you to do this?”

Angelie chuckled, narrowing his eyes and speaking casually, “Damien, the prophecy of salvation played you for a fool.

The world will continue to function without anyone. You really don’t need to take risks that are completely unnecessary…

Level 7 battles should be handled by Level 7 entities. Whether win or lose, we have already done our best and can retreat without any guilt.”

“You don’t understand.”

Ronan looked back at the still-ongoing battlefield filled with nurous Abyssal Demons and wizards fighting to their last breath.

He said softly, “Whether or not the prophecy appears, what is ant to happen will always happen.

The revelation might alter the process, but it will not affect the outco.

What I have to do, I will eventually do.”

Angelie didn’t try to dissuade him further, just looked at him and then smiled slightly, “Well then, good luck.

As always, don’t die.”

Ronan glanced at him, nodded, then took a deep breath, extending his hands to tear open a person-high slender opening in front.

He seed a bit reluctant as he glanced at his own starlight-flowing hands, then swiftly stepped through.
