Capítulo 875: Chapter 440:
Sotis Grace would especially miss that early little attic room with its pretty blue pointed roof, which, though it confined her freedom, felt warm and cozy.
Back then, she often felt bored too, but at least she could hear her mother’s nagging every day, and occasionally, an interesting person or two would pass by the house.
It’s just like…
The brush that stays in one place for too long smudges large swathes of oil paint on the white canvas, and Grace sighed softly, randomly tearing away the canvas before her.
At that mont, “Boom!”
A house she had been keeping an eye on in the distance suddenly burst with an extrely intense spiritual power surge, with a rich golden-white light flowing out like water waves from every window of the house.
Grace abruptly stood up, quickly running to the edge of the rooftop, gripping the railing as she tried hard to lean closer to look.
Figures of powerful wizards appeared from all directions in the sky, swiftly gathering toward the house.
“Sothing happened…”
Grace felt a strange tightness in her heart, a bad premonition arising.
Ti passed quickly, and as those wizards, who had been drawn by Selena’s aura, gradually exited the house again, Selena found a familiar figure, her lips moved quickly, and then she waved to the figure.
Soon, a silver-haired witch with slightly dark skin appeared on the rooftop.
“Did sothing bad happen?”
Grace gazed at her, eagerly inquiring, hoping to hear that it was just a false alarm from the witch’s mouth.
The silver-haired witch, however, looked bitter and replied, “It’s possibly worse than you imagined…
Edward Alba has announced his independence, and the wizards of the Ancient Witch Revival Association have started to appear widely in the Eastern Empire.
Most importantly…”
The silver-haired witch paused, and said in an extrely hoarse voice, “The Princess has just received the news….
The New Prophet of the Destiny Pendulum has passed away, and also the Crown of Golden Dawn of the Destiny Empire, who has always supported us and helped Her Highness win the Holy Grail, has also fallen.”
…
“Yes, I want that one.”
In a small wizard tavern in Baishong Town, the bald Jason stood at the bar, pointing to a wizard hat covered with pretty blue feathers hanging on the wall behind the bartender.
The bartender carefully took down the hat Jason chose from the hat-covered wall, casually asking, “Wouldn’t you like to wait a few more days?”
The guest before him had been coming to the tavern every day for over a month, clearly stating he was waiting for a friend.
After more than a month, the two had gotten familiar, and the bartender even knew that this fierce-looking guest with a strong aura of a Black Wizard actually had a heart softer than most wizards.
Almost every day, he would feed the stray cats and dogs, squirrels, and even the slly hog-badger wandering around the tavern door.
“He probably has sothing to do and can’t co for now.”
Jason shook his head, speaking, “I rember you do have a ssage service here, right?”
“Of course.”
The bartender nodded, shaking the wizard hat in his hand, “This hat is now yours. You can leave any ssage you want to anyone inside, and once they put on the hat, they’ll hear it…
Forgive my curiosity, don’t you and your friend have a communication tool to use between you?”
Jason fell silent for a mont and said, “So things are not suitable to say in a communication tool.”
“I quite agree with you.”
The bartender smiled and nodded, “So things are indeed better not spoken aloud; leaving a ssage in a hat is the best way.
Soone also left you a ssage two days ago; would you like to hear it?”
“Uh?”
Jason was stunned upon hearing this and instinctively asked, “Who?”
The bartender gave Jason a look, indicating he should look in a certain direction to his left.
Jason turned his head, his gaze following through most of the tavern, finally spotting in a corner of the tavern, a chubby male wizard with a striped magic robe and a stubbled face, smiling as he looked at him and waving to greet him.
“Damn it!”
Jason felt a sudden chill, quickly turning back, “Quick, give that damn hat of yours, hurry!”
The bartender helplessly shrugged his shoulders, handing the hat to Jason.
After leaving his ssage, Jason returned the hat to the bartender, casually tossing a few Magic Stones, then with a face full of murderous intent, gave a harsh glare at the male wizard who was still staring at him, and strode out of the tavern.
The stray cats lingering at the tavern’s entrance imdiately gathered around affectionately, circling him.
Jason crouched down, gently petting each stray cat on the head one by one.
He stood up, gently pulling back his left magic robe sleeve, revealing an odd scar-like mark ford from knotted bulging veins on the back of his hand.
Jason silently lowered his sleeve, looking up at the sun in the sky.
“Damien….”
“I hope we have the chance to et again.”
After saying this, he fixed his gaze and walked resolutely out of Baishong Town.
