"Where is it?!"
Princess Selena’s eyes lit up instantly as she buried herself in handling affairs at the desk.
"It’s right where the Spirit Shaping Array was originally set up."
As soon as the Silver-haired Witch finished speaking, she looked up, only to find that Selena’s figure had vanished, leaving behind only the sound of rustling oak leaves in the wind.
Selena dashed to the location where she had personally selected to set up the Spirit Shaping Array, like a gust of wind.
The dense leaves blocked her view, and without responding to the salutes of the Life Court wizards stationed there, Selena pushed aside the last bush in front of her, her gaze locking imdiately onto a tall figure standing before the Spirit Shaping Array.
As she saw him, Selena’s eyes slightly widened.
Compared to a year ago, the presence of the person before her, once wild as fire and sharp as a blade, had transford into profound restraint.
Yet, it seed to her that he had grown even stronger.
Selena walked step by step toward the man, feeling as if she were wading through an endless frozen sea, the cold gradually consuming her.
As the man turned around and glanced at her unintentionally, a burst of aura emanated from him as if a colossal, indescribable entity was casting a cold, overlooking gaze down upon her. Selena’s delicate body trembled, feeling infinitely small and insignificant from her very soul.
But this aura dissipated from him almost imdiately, making Selena wonder if she had sensed sothing illusory.
Slightly suppressing the unease rising in her heart, Selena took a deep breath and quickly approached him. The questions she had prepared were reduced to a low greeting when she spoke.
"Your Majesty."
"Hmm."
Ronan glanced at Selena, and seeing no hint of displeasure on her face, he casually explained, "Sothing ca up, and I was delayed for a while."
Selena nodded, saying, "I have verified, the person who took you away a year ago was indeed Elsa, the Frost Leader Wizard behind Katie.
This wasn’t Katie’s intention, she also...."
"Has that woman returned?"
Before Selena could finish, Ronan interrupted her with his inquiry.
"For now... she should not have returned."
Selena shook her head.
Ronan’s eyes flickered.
While he received the Ice Emperor’s inheritance and hunted Hekarter, Elsa remained within the bloodline legacy of the Ancient Frost Dragon.
It’s uncertain now whether the inheritance has concluded, but that wasn’t Ronan’s concern to ponder.
Ronan changed the topic directly and, looking at the Spirit Shaping Array before him, asked indifferently, "How long until the beginning of the Holy Grail?"
"Eight months."
"Moved up?"
Ronan’s brow furrowed slightly.
"Yes."
Selena’s brows showed traces of gloom, and her face looked sowhat troubled as she replied, "The situation has beco increasingly chaotic; several disturbances provoked by the Ancient Witch Association have occurred this year alone. They even dare to blatantly appear within the Empire’s territory....
The elders of the council didn’t want to wait any longer and moved the trial date forward by six months."
"Eight months.."
Ronan murmured softly, and soon, he spoke in a calm tone.
"I’m entering the pool now."
He calmly walked past Selena, heading straight toward the nearby Spirit Shaping Array.
Selena imdiately gave the wizards beside her a look, and as the array opened, she witnessed Ronan remove his robe, gradually subrging himself in the milky white Spirit Shaping Liquid.
Selena’s gaze gently swept over the Dawn Mask on Ronan’s face, which he had never removed, feeling the gradual operation of the array, her beautiful eyes flickered slightly a few tis before she finally turned and left.
.......
Within the Spirit Shaping Pool, Ronan soaked in a ditative posture, enveloped by countless streams of Spirit Shaping Liquid.
As the Spirit Shaping Array activated, the liquid within the pool began to seep into his body actively. As it penetrated his blood and flesh, it transford into strands of peculiar energy, eventually rushing toward the spirit core within his Consciousness Space.
Now, Ronan’s spirit core, which nurtured the Elental Spirit, had long expanded to an unprecedented scale.
Its size was nearly ten tis larger than when he first advanced to Dawn. The blood vessel-like Ancient Spirit Text had long vanished into the core, leaving only mysterious whale patterns brought by Bloodline Power on its smooth blue-gold surface.
The Essence Spirit Light nurtured within the core was so dense that it beca liquid, and as it slightly emanated a trace, its vast weight seed as if it would crush the Void.
Nurous strands of Spirit Shaping Liquid’s power continuously drilled toward the core, where the only remaining gap on its surface began showing signs of completely closing under this power.
Ronan had carefully consulted Alazan beforehand; theoretically, there was no possibility of failure when a Level 4 Wizard advanced to Level 5, only varying grades of Primordial Spirit that would be born.
This was a process of natural progression, also a "test" to evaluate a Wizard’s learnings and accumulations from an Apprentice to the Dawn. Ultimately, the "result" would naturally vary from person to person.
Strands of Spirit Shaping Liquid’s power diligently filled the gap on Ronan’s spirit core. Simultaneously, the already vigorous Essence Spirit Light continued to grow, further enhancing Ronan’s Elental Spirit foundation.
Just as the gap on the core was about to completely close, suddenly, the strength of the Spirit Shaping Liquid grew sparse and even intermittent.
"What happened?"
Ronan withdrew from the Consciousness Space, abruptly opening his eyes.
Only then did he realize that he was sitting in an empty Spirit Shaping Pool, where the liquid that was once sufficient to subrge him entirely, was now reduced to a thin layer at the bottom, rapidly depleting and drying up.
Several Life Court wizards responsible for maintaining the operation of the array stood along the edge exchanging uncertain glances. Ronan knit his brows, about to speak, when one of the wizards proactively spoke, "Please wait a mont, Your Majesty, we’ve already sent soone to inform Princess Selena.."
"Tell your Princess."
Under the Dawn Mask, Ronan’s blue-gold eyes slightly glead as he spoke calmly, "Starting with this pool, every drop of Spirit Shaping Liquid I use will be repaid to her tenfold."
"Yes."
The speaking wizard nodded in apprehension.
Perhaps Ronan’s words had an effect, as new Spirit Shaping Liquid was soon brought over, refilling the entire pool.
Feeling the gap on his spirit core entering the process of slowly closing and even vanishing again, Ronan finally closed his eyes at ease.
Ti flew by, and seven months passed in the blink of an eye.
"Your Highness!"
The Silver-haired Witch hurriedly barged into Selena’s temporary palace, the wind chis hanging at the entrance tinkling from the breeze stirred up by her steps.
"What is it?"
Selena was slowly polishing a finely crafted copper arrow, engraved with dense rune traces, and calmly raised her head, "Speak."
"Lord Tyron..."
"Has he finally completed the breakthrough?"
Selena exhaled softly, slowly standing up from the arch rack, her face revealing a look of relief.
But as the Silver-haired Witch uttered her next words, Selena almost stumbled and fell.
"No."
The Silver-haired Witch shook her head, full of bitterness, "Not yet.
The Spirit Shaping Liquid is insufficient again, and we have no surplus stock left..."
"What?!"
Selena looked at the Silver-haired Witch incredulously, the cloth she used to polish the rune copper arrow silently slipping to the ground. She opened her mouth in shock, "The Spirit Shaping Liquid is gone again?
If I’m not mistaken, this should already be the eighth pool, correct?"
"Yes."
The Silver-haired Witch nodded, her expression equally complex.
Selena’s face darkened with shifting emotions, her fingers tightly gripping the copper arrow, squeezing out bursts of rune fluctuation light.
Finally, she tossed sothing toward the Silver-haired Witch, speaking quickly with gritted teeth, "Take this to Princess Katie and borrow a batch of Spirit Shaping Liquid from her; if it’s still not enough, then borrow more!"
The Silver-haired Witch responded, taking the token given by Selena, and swiftly turned to leave.
Once the Silver-haired Witch had completely left, Selena seed as if most of her strength had been suddenly drained. She slowly took two steps back, her gaze turning toward a certain direction, as if looking through the barriers of nurous spaces to a still sitting figure.
"Consuming resources for a breakthrough to Level 5 at a rate nearly a hundred tis that of a normal Level 4 Wizard..."
"Misha Tilion... what level of Elental Spirit are you aiming to achieve?"
"I hope there’s enough ti to make it..."
