The two stopped in front of a particularly dilapidated stone shack, where seaweed plants, either dried or fresh and damp, hung everywhere outside. The fishy sll beca even stronger, even making the black-haired Wizard who led the way frown.

"@4#¥..."

The black-haired Wizard quickly chanted a spell, and many black bug-like sea spiders crawled out from under his Magic Robe, quickly swarming toward the shack.

A mont later, the swarm receded like a tide, and the door of the seaweed-covered shack was pushed open from the inside with a "bang."

A thin figure walked out of the house.

From the appearance, this looked like a middle-aged man in his forties, of dium build, with gray-green eyes, looking as if he had just been fished out of the water, with strands of hair clinging to his head.

His presence intensified the fishy odor of the sea in the air.

Ronan noticed that on either side of the man’s cheeks there were gill-like organs, slightly opening and closing.

His skin was also very damp, with many areas showing large patches of rot, as if caused by prolonged soaking in water.

"Chuck!"

The black-haired Wizard called out the man’s na, his lips moving, seemingly communicating privately with the man.

Finally, he tossed two Potion bottles filled with pink liquid at the man’s feet, saying coldly, "Think carefully, aside from , there isn’t another Wizard in all of Qifeng Port willing to provide you with the slow-release agent for the ’Sea Poison Disease’.."

After speaking, the black-haired Wizard turned to Ronan, as if to explain specifically, and said in a low voice, "These people born of a hybrid between the Sea Clan and humans have a great congenital defect in their Bloodline, with their bodies constantly decaying until they die...

Earlier, we were interested in their Bloodline and captured a batch for research, but after expending a lot of resources and effort, it turned out to be a worthless endeavor.."

The black-haired Wizard looked at the Potion bottles casually discarded on the pile of decayed seaweed, his eyes showing undisguised indifference and disdain.

He kept watching the Sea Clan Remnant nad Chuck in front of him until he silently picked up the Potion bottles from the ground, finally revealing a satisfied expression on his face.

"That’s enough, the rest you can negotiate with him on your own, my work here is done."

The black-haired Wizard smiled politely at Ronan, and Ronan took out so Magic Stones to casually dismiss him, leaving only him and the man in front of the shabby shack.

Ronan watched as the man opened the Potion bottles left by the black-haired Wizard, applying the pink liquid bit by bit to the rotting areas of his skin. During the process, Ronan could perceive the tension in the man’s deanor slowly uncoil, with so of the pain temporarily suppressed.

"Is there sothing I can do for you?"

After applying the last patch of rot, the man carefully stored the leftover Potion, then humbly inquired to Ronan.

As he spoke, the gill leaves on the sides of his cheeks opened and closed, giving his voice a peculiar humming sound.

"I need a guide to take to the Green Luminous Sea Abyss..."

Ronan shared his intention of finding the Ghost Cry Fish with the man. The man’s eyes flickered as he weighed his options, then seed to muster up so courage, boldly speaking, "According to your requirents, this expedition could very likely cost my life, I.."

"You’re hoping for additional compensation, right?"

Ronan interrupted the man calmly, guessing his thoughts.

The man hesitated, stamring, not daring to say more.

Ronan, however, had no patience for further idle talk with him. He took out a bag filled with Low-level Magic Stones, roughly two to three hundred in number, leveraging spiritual power to place it in front of the man.

The man opened the bag Ronan presented, and upon seeing the number of Magic Stones inside, he froze for a mont.

A mont later, he looked up and said to Ronan, "Sir, could you give a little more ti?"

Ronan nodded, and imdiately saw the man, clutching the bag of Magic Stones, quickly dash out of the small courtyard of the stone shack like the wind.

Qifeng Port is such a small place that Ronan wasn’t worried about where an ordinary man could escape to.

Trailing unhurriedly behind the man, watching him twist and turn through the alleys of the Slums, Ronan was instead sowhat intrigued.

Eventually, he saw the man rush fervently into another equally rundown house with a half-closed door, where so loose won’s undergarnts were hanging outside, seemingly belonging to soone the man was romantically involved with.

Just as Ronan had speculated, once the man burst into the house, a woman’s scream soon rang out from within.

"Damn it, you stinking rotten fish man, get out of my house!"

"If you don’t settle last ti’s paynt, don’t think you can touch again!"

Accompanied by a crisp sound of sothing tumbling to the ground, the woman’s angry voice inside the house abruptly ceased.

After a brief silence, a more elevated shriek erupted from the house.

"My heavens, where did you get so much money?!"

"Oh, Chuck, you damned fool, I’m simply going to love you to death..."

Inside, the strange noise of clothing rustling against itself began to sound.

Ronan silently counted ti, and when he reached thirty-one, he saw the man appear once more.

Unlike his earlier numb state, this ti the man was beaming, with the gills on the sides of his cheeks spreading open like small fans, a few exaggerated blood-red lip marks still lingering on his face, yet the bag of Magic Stones he had held dearly was nowhere to be seen.
