Chapter 507: Chapter 232: Getting Along, Ice and Fire Topic, Wuhao Mountain Range_2
“Let’s rest for a while and continue our journey after dark.”
Having said that, he didn’t care whether the person behind him responded or not; he just stopped walking.
Two Black Robes successively removed the hoods they were wearing, revealing a young man and a woman’s face.
Both were extraordinarily handso and beautiful, and if seen by outsiders, they might be mistaken for a well-matched couple. However, in reality, the relationship between them could not even be described as “indifferent.”
Ronan casually threw a fireball onto the ground. The flas ignited, crisply crackling as they burned the twigs and leaves underneath.
With his current condition, the harsh environnt of the dense forest had little effect on him. Whether it was the powerful spiritual power of a Level 3 Wizard or the aura of the Ancient Frost Multi-headed Snake Bloodline flowing through his veins, both were enough to keep most wild beasts and demons at bay.
But seeking a light source in the dark environnts is an instinct embedded in human genetics. Whenever he stopped for a rest, Ronan would habitually light a campfire.
At this mont, Molli’er stood more than five ters away from him, her expression calm, showing no sign of joy or anger. To Ronan, her inner emotions felt as still as dead water.
Over the past five days, there had been almost no communication between the two; it was mostly Ronan “ordering” her to do sothing, and she would obediently comply, appearing quite “docile.”
Ronan couldn’t be bothered with her and focused on his tasks.
He was now in a place called the Wuhao Mountain Range.
The eting place Ewaqu had arranged with him was in an indigenous tribe deep within the Wuhao Mountain Range.
Ewaqu couldn’t describe the exact location but told him to head deep into the Wuhao Mountain Range until he saw a forest comprised entirely of Moon Trees.
Moon Trees have no specific appearance, but their only feature is that they glow under the moonlight. Hence, to facilitate the search, Ronan decided to continue his journey after the moon had risen.
He estimated that he was almost there.
Ronan first checked the “Symbiosis” state between him and Molli’er.
Compared to five days ago, their connection seed to have beco even tighter and did not weaken over ti as Ronan had anticipated.
Ronan speculated that if this continued, their souls might rge further and eventually beco an entirely “new” entity.
This was sothing he absolutely did not want to see, yet he had no solution or even a way to contain it.
The only good news was probably that Molli’er’s condition was worse than his.
Although he was in a “Symbiosis” with Molli’er, his strength remained almost completely intact.
In contrast, Molli’er, for unknown reasons, almost lost all combat capabilities. Whether it was her Bloodline, Spells, or even Spiritual Power, she couldn’t harness any; only a trace of resilience brought by the Phoenix Bloodline remained, slightly stronger than a normal human, but even weaker than a formidable Wizard Apprentice.
Perhaps this was also why she obediently let him “manipulate” her.
Ronan looked at Molli’er as she was now, feeling not a trace of sympathy in his heart.
If their situations were reversed, he probably would have been tortured by her “to the point of death.”
“Ice and Fire together…”
Ronan stared at the campfire in front of him, silently pondering the issue of coexistence of the dual energies of ice and fire.
These past few days, whenever he had a mont, he would think about this. At the brink of death before, many inspirations had surged in Ronan’s mind, and he almost grasped the essence of it, but now trying to recapture that state, he couldn’t find it again.
Ronan tried to conjure a ping-pong-sized fireball and ice ball in each palm’s center.
Both were the simplest Low Zero Rank Level Magic.
Then, placing his palms together, he slowly brought the two spells closer, while extending his spiritual power to carefully observe the changes in the Energy Particles when they collided.
Ice Ball and Fireball collided, the spell energies continuously neutralizing and annihilating each other in Ronan’s palms…
“Hmph…”
A scornful snort sounded.
Ronan raised his head and calmly glanced at Molli’er not far away.
Given their current state, superficial emotions and ntal fluctuations were no secret to each other; he naturally knew what Molli’er was mocking.
He didn’t mind, but rather was thoughtful.
Through several days of trials, Ronan had grasped so clues.
To coexist extre opposite elental energies like ice and fire, two conditions must be t.
First, the powers of both elents needed to reach an absolute balance.
Second, there needs to be a ‘neutral party’ responsible for harmony.
Ronan had been working hard on the forr, but despite his intense spiritual power as an Interdiate Level 3 Stage Wizard (in fact, far stronger than an average Interdiate Level 3 Stage Wizard), he still couldn’t achieve the so-called “absolute balance.”
The spiritual power he tried to use as the ‘neutral party’ for the second condition wasn’t very effective. He considered using soul power, but with his superficial understanding and control over soul power, that was even more wishful thinking.
“I wonder if reaching Level 4 Dawn and nurturing an Elental Spirit would change the situation…”
