Everything happened fast.

Attack, death, and hiding the corpse. Oliver perford the action with ease.

You can easily see that it was not the first ti he was doing sothing similar.

Dragging the bodies to a secluded corner of the building, he hid them under a plastic sheet.

The building was under construction, and there wasn’t anyone nearby. So he could do it without causing a commotion.

Then, he rummaged through the pockets of one of the dead people and found their phone.

The phone had a fingerprint sensor.

’This makes it easy.’

He pulled the arm of the corpse from underneath the plastic sheet and unlocked the phone.

*Bzzz*

With a slight vibration, the phone opened up, revealing the ho screen.

Oliver’s eyes glanced down towards the cara app.

*Flash*

*Flash*

He took two photos of the dead people and sent them to a number. Imdiately, a call ca back.

"You saw the proof? So, what happened on your end?" Oliver asked.

"We caught him in the act." The voice of Grizzly replied.

"The paynt?"

"Will send it as crypto."

Oliver expected such a turn of events and had planned everything before leaving the gambling den. As expected, the traitor fell into his trap, revealing himself while also becoming the proof Oliver promised to give Grizzly.

"Great. Nice doing business with you. I will co at a later ti to take my item. And you should deal with the corpses."

"Okay. And thank you." Grizzly, for so reason, thanked Oliver.

"Hm..." Oliver humd a reply and was about to end the call. But suddenly, he noticed a particular tattoo on the body of one of the thugs.

On one arm of a thug, there was a small circular tattoo with a six-pointed star in the center. And in the middle of it was the symbol plus - ’ ’.

The tattoo was hidden under the sleeve. It took a second for Oliver to verify it.

Suddenly, he changed his mind.

"Do you know who these guys are? Where do they co from? Or who do they work for?" Oliver asked questions one after another.

That tattoo revived his interest in the dead.

"Why do you want to know that?"

"I think I will have to visit them," Oliver said in a grim tone.

Grizzly, on the other side of the phone, could feel the chilling energy in his voice. He grasped his phone tightly, sensing the anger.

Still, he replied, "We are going there right now. Today, either I will die, or I will kill them all."

For the past few months, Grizzly had faced multiple assassination attempts. And during that ti, a few of his people had died.

Just thinking about it was making his blood boil.

The enemy hidden in the shadows was taunting him, sending death threats daily while forcing him to stay inside.

Finally, he knew why he beca such an easy target.

There was a traitor amongst his closest aids.

Grizzly was frustrated. Today, he was going to end it all. Only by doing so could he get a good night’s sleep.

Now that he knows the enemy’s identity, the enemy will try their best to kill him. He had to take the initiative or else fear losing.

"Let co along." Oliver requested.

"Why?"

"I found a familiar symbol on their hand. A six-pointed star inside a circle with a plus symbol in the middle. It is not sothing you see every day. So, I instantly recognised it."

"It’s the cult of Tempus. The damned Tempus bastards." Grizzly grumbled.

’Tempus? Was there a cult like that?’

Oliver didn’t recognise the na.

It might not have existed when he was active. Or they might have rebranded into sothing else.

Cults popping up and disappearing were nothing new.

In the modern world, it is practically impossible for a new religion to erge. Instead, cults occasionally form and disband in cycles.

Usually, there were two types of cults. The first type is related to sex, and the other is related to sex and sothing more.

Sex was the best tool in their arsenal to recruit new mbers.

A cult forming inside the red-light district didn’t seem that far-fetched.

"They are human traffickers, right?" Oliver asked.

"They could be. It’s a newly erging power. I don’t know much about them. But I have heard that they are quickly growing in numbers, becoming favorites of high society."

"Why are they targeting you?"

"Most likely to take over my place in the black market."

"Hm."

"How did they ss with you?" Grizzly asked when he realised Oliver had a bone to pick with the Tempus cult.

"..." Oliver didn’t reply.

But a mory of hands with the sa tattoo grabbing him and forcing him into cramped trucks ca into his mind.

There were dozens, maybe a hundred, children in the truck.

Then the mory flickered, shifting between different points of view, as if he was seeing from the eyes of all the children inside the truck.

It was not Oliver’s mory.

What he saw was the mory of the children who died in the research outpost on Second Earth.

The Tempus cult was connected to it.

That ans the origin of the Tempus cult had sothing to do with demons.

’I need to eradicate them.’ Oliver decided.

Luckily, fate brought him to them.

"Bring with you. I can help." Oliver said and waited.

After a while, Grizzly replied in affirmation.

Oliver showed his strength by defeating 5 D-rankers easily. He was a worthy ally to bring to a battle.

Half an hour later, Oliver, Grizzly, and his team of twenty thugs reached the base of a four-story building.

Oliver never forgets a grudge. Be it small or big, he always returns the pain he suffered in full, even if indirectly.

The Tempus cult kidnapped and sold children. Although he didn’t know why and how they did it, nothing could stop him from taking revenge on their behest.

The naive children may have wished for peace in their final mont, but he was not like them.

He knew good beating evil was just a fairytale.

If you take the beating without resisting, they will keep on beating you until you die. That’s why it’s important to show your enemies that you are willing to go beyond what they expect.

You should stand up for yourself and spread fear into your enemy’s soul through sotis extre action.

This ti, Oliver was here to spread fear.

It was ti for the Tempus cult to disappear.
