Golden red flas scorched unceasingly as pained wails echoed throughout the palace.

Within the fire, a blurred face twisted continuously, its expression when looking at Charlotte filled with malice.

It stared intently at Charlotte, its sinister gaze as if to etch itself deep into her soul.

Amidst its wailing, it hissed ominously,

"Do not think this is the end, you... cannot escape, you... cannot escape!"

"Dark Night, I have rembered you, we... have all rembered you!"

Having said that, the ashen mist suddenly reversed course, a concealed energy fluctuation infiltrated the flas, transforming into an illusory trident mark that rapidly spread toward Charlotte's arm along the cage ford by the Blood Divine Power.

"Oh? Is that so?"

Charlotte glanced indifferently at the other.

She extended her left hand, the Blood Divine Power coursing once again as a hefty, ethereal book slowly erged.

The book cracked open, emitting a crimson glow. Before the illusory trident mark could perate Charlotte's body, it was sucked in by the book, instantly torn into shreds.

"Primordial fragnts! You... you actually possess a piece of the Primordial?!"

Watching the illusory book that had just "devoured" the mark in Charlotte's hands, the phantom face revealed jealousy, astonishnt, and fear.

Accompanied by the sound of glass shattering, it shattered into mist-like fragnts within the golden red flas and was ultimately "devoured" by the illusory book in Charlotte's hands.

"Primordial... fragnts, eh."

Charlotte pondered, stowing away the materialized Blood Holy Scripture.

After devouring the "blurred face," she could feel that the Blood Holy Scripture deep within her consciousness seed to beco even more complete.

Releasing a breath, Charlotte disbanded the now-empty Divine Power Cage.

All the Divine Power was drawn back into her body, restoring calm within the palace.

Yet Charlotte's mood was anything but calm:

"It just saw the Blood Holy Scripture, it referred to the Blood Holy Scripture as a fragnt of the Primordial... So, the Blood Holy Scripture is also a part of the 'Primordial'?"

"It wanted to leave so sort of mark inside , but it failed because the Blood Holy Scripture devoured its power."

"Its power is eerily similar to the ash-white mist behind the mysterious stone door; is it and the power behind the door... all Primordial power?" Follow current ɴᴏᴠᴇʟs on ɴovelfire

"And about the mark it condensed... the trident, if I'm not mistaken, that's exactly the symbol of the Sea King Oceanus, but... the mark it ford is the reverse of the Sea King's mark I've seen in texts."

"There is a hint of the ocean in its Divine Power, but... it feels turbid, or rather, chaotic."

"It says it's the Sea King Oceanus, could it be... that it really is the Sea King Oceanus? Only... it's beco tainted? Or perhaps... mad?"

"And there's the... 'we' it ntioned last..."

"What exactly does that an? Does it indicate it's just one of the 'Sea King's' myriad consciousnesses, or does it an... there are more 'tainted' Gods?"

Charlotte murmured, her brows furrowing tightly.

Despite successfully handling the other, her mood had not improved, rather... it had beco even heavier.

"The Stargazer Cosy has encountered issues, the Crimson Queen Royena has encountered issues, the Blood True Ancestor Lilith has been forgotten by all creatures, and Lilith's brother Haral now only retains the title of 'Creator God'..."

"Now, even the Sea King Oceanus, once fad alongside the Blood True Ancestor, might also have issues."

"Could it be... that all the mythological beings of this world, have encountered problems?"

"The words of 'Sea King Oceanus' are not credible, but if it was to deceive ... then the things it ntioned wouldn't all be false, and if they aren't all false, how much do they differ from the truth?"

"If the mythological beings really do have issues, how many of them are lucid?"

"Holy Presence Day... are the awakening ones really only the Gods?"

The more Charlotte thought about it, the more she felt a tingling sensation on her scalp.

The Mireya Continent had recorded not just hundreds, but thousands of myths, and even now, countless well-known Gods abound.

But since Charlotte had beco a Demigod, all the myths she encountered were abnormal.

Once could be overlooked, but if it happened continuously, then it wasn't a problem with her alone anymore.

Charlotte felt a sense of urgency.

Since becoming a Demigod, she once again felt the pressing danger, like the sword of Damocles over her head.

Becoming a myth did not an she could rest easy.

Forgotten myths, mad Gods, twisted history...

Clearly, the hidden secrets left over from the Mythical Era are the true dangers lurking behind the world of Mireya.

This world, seemingly prosperous and normal, may very well be rife with undercurrents already in motion.

"It doesn't matter whether 'it' is the 'mad' Sea King or not, since it only sent a strand of consciousness to probe, that ans it does not have confidence it could defeat ."

"But at the sa ti, it dared to threaten so openly before disappearing. It indicates that its strength is by no ans weaker than mine, even likely to be stronger!"

"Fortunately, the Blood Holy Scripture seems to have the ability to suppress its power, even driving away its mark."

"But... it's not enough."

With that thought, Charlotte sank into her consciousness, sensing the Blood Holy Scripture once again.
