"She... no, He is a God walking upon the earth!"
"He is the True Ancestor, Your Majesty!"
"Oh True Ancestor above, I just now... I actually thought to defile Your Majesty, the True Ancestor! I... I must be insane!"
A soft chuckle ca from ahead, as the young girl on the throne smiled faintly:
"Enough, rise. Consider it a lesson, rember, as for Moon God Island... refrain from going there henceforth."
Marda shivered slightly.
She took a deep breath, crawled toward the throne on her knees, and said with a trembling voice:
"Thank True... Queen."
A gentle magic power descended, slowly lifting Marda up.
She struggled to stand, no longer haughty as before but instead stood obediently like a well-behaved kitten next to Yulster.
Seeing the drastic change in Marda, Yulster was slightly taken aback.
He looked at Charlotte on the throne, then at Marda whose deanor had beco so respectful and compliant—it seed he realized sothing, and a flicker of clarity and surprise passed across his face.
Had she... been disciplined by Her Majesty?
Her Majesty ntioned Moon God Island, could it be... that Her Majesty has already discovered sothing?
...
The "incident" with Marda was but a minor episode during the banquet.
In fact, aside from Yulster, no one else in the banquet hall perceived what had actually happened.
This was an ordinary court banquet after all; it was only because it involved the Bloodline that the atmosphere had beco sowhat tense, but the Bloodline's respectful attitude towards the Queen was enough to ease everything.
The nobles also knew that the Nais Bloodline had made peace with the Royal Family and the Church, and as ti went by, they would only appear more frequently at various public events in the Kingdom.
It was the sa with their titles; it was only natural that so of the Bloodline beca Nobles of Falling Star.
This was the prevalent trend of Falling Star, not subject to the will of individuals.
And when the banquet was over, and Charlotte had changed out of her gown and returned to the study, she finally had the opportunity to receive Yulster in her capacity as a Bloodline.
"Praise the Dark, praise order, Yulster, Earl of the Nais Clan... in the presence of the True Ancestor!"
Yulster greeted with respect.
"Enough, no need for such formality, Lord Yulster, since you are here, that ans the things I asked Robin to collect have been organized?"
Charlotte asked.
Yulster nodded, presenting a ring respectfully:
"Your Majesty, the True Ancestor, it has been arranged. This storage ring contains materials about the Mythical Era, all original docunts from the clan's collection. However... so may be too damaged or blurred due to their vast age."
Charlotte nodded slightly, using a dark hand to draw the ring to herself.
She sensed it for a mont and found that there were indeed many books in the storage ring, clearly well-organized in advance.
"Not bad, quite a swift effort."
She praised.
Yulster smiled:
"This is all thanks to Lord Badak's effort. Since his awakening, Lord Badak has been collecting these materials. The clan rely brought them to you in accordance with his instructions after hearing Your Oracle."
Badak?
Charlotte raised an eyebrow slightly.
It seems that the Legion Commander, though he appears unconcerned about the "mories" he's lost, was in fact the opposite, otherwise he wouldn't have specifically collected these materials.
Yulster hesitated before continuing:
"Additionally, Your Majesty, about Marda..."
Charlotte looked at him:
"Was it Robin who sent her?"
Yulster nodded:
"Yes, Marda is a clan spy on Moon God Island. If you want information about the Bloodline on Moon God Island, no one is more knowledgeable than her."
Speaking, he hesitated for a mont and added:
"True Ancestor, please forgive Marda's offense against you. She may have stayed on Moon God Island for too long and picked up so of the reckless habits of the Bloodline Elves, but please believe that she actually holds you in great respect."
"She wasn't... so presumptuous before."
Charlotte laughed:
"All right, enough about pleading for your companion, I'm not blind."
Relieved by Charlotte's words, Yulster breathed easier:
"Then... True Ancestor, do you still wish to summon her? The Great Elder specifically called her back from Moon God Island to report directly to you."
Shaking her head:
"No need, let her rest. I have already seen her mories. After you return, tell Robin not to send anyone else to Moon God Island and to stop any further investigations; do not alert those 'Bloodline Elves' anymore. Suspend all exploration of Moon God Island, I will handle the matters that follow myself."
Yulster was briefly taken aback, then asked with confusion:
"True Ancestor, is there a problem with Moon God Island?"
Charlotte did not respond directly, but gently extended her hand.
A crimson radiance coalesced in her palm, forming a cage, and within that cage, a gray-white mist appeared.
The gray-white mist struggled continuously, at tis turning into a fierce ghoul's face and at other tis taking the identical countenance of a young girl like Marda, uttering low growls.
"This... this is...?!"
Yulster's eyes widened.
"This is sothing I just extracted from the soul of your companion. This thing has been corroding her spirit and body, and it even placed a psychic suggestion in her consciousness."
While speaking, Charlotte narrowed her eyes:
"A suggestion to probe the Nais Clan and the Divine Favored Queen."
Yulster's complexion changed:
"You an to say... Are you implicating that Marda was already under spiritual control?!"
"Not yet, but if you had waited any longer to recall her, she might have beco a 'puppet' like Alek, no... perhaps sothing even worse,"
Charlotte said.
Finishing, she laughed again:
"You were wise to bring her to at once. This thing is quite tricky - it's probably only who can deal with it."
"Then... what about Marda?"
Yulster hesitated before asking.
Charlotte replied:
"There's no major damage since she was found in ti. She just needs so rest."
...
After his audience with Charlotte, Yulster departed.
The primary purpose of his visit was to report the information about Moon God Island. Charlotte directly reading the mories ant his mission was thus completed.
But after Yulster left, the ease on Charlotte's face faded, and she grew serious again.
She summoned the crimson Divine Power Cage once more, gazing at the gray-white mist trapped inside, her eyes slightly narrowed:
"All right, now it's just you and ."
"Now, can we have a proper talk? Are you trying to take over the body of a descendant of my Bloodline... Your Majesty?"
