The return journey went smoothly.
Three days later, a hosick Charlotte arrived back at her own territory.
After "escorting" Charlotte back to North Port, the Black Dragon Odosia set out again.
Her mission in the Romany Duchy was complete, and next, she would follow the model predictions of Nisi to seek out other ancient halls yet to be unearthed.
Charlotte was quite pleased with her trip to the Romany Duchy; though things hadn't gone entirely as expected, she had nearly achieved all of her objectives.
Setting aside the alliance with the Nais Clan for the mont, with Yulster's backing, Charlotte reckoned that obtaining the title of Duke Roman should present no problem after her advancent to Blazing Sun.
Based on her prior experiences, it was very likely she would fall into slumber again after her ascension.
Perhaps by the ti she awoke once more, the Romany Duchy would have already co under the control of the Castel family, and she herself would have beco the Roman Duchess.
Charlotte looked forward to this with anticipation. Aside from the benefits brought by a higher title and status in the human world, a larger territory would also facilitate her covert accumulation of power.
The search for the ancient halls in the Romany Duchy was finished.
Upon obtaining the Roman Sword, Charlotte had confirmation from the Artifact Spirit of this Divine Artifact that the undisturbed Ancient Hall in the Romany Duchy, as speculated by Nisi, was indeed the sealing ground of the Roman Sword.
As for the Faceless Divine Statue, which Charlotte had fixated upon, it had naturally been "swallowed" by the Roman Sword.
"This... when Romannus first brought there, I was only a Holy Artifact. It was through rging with the Divine Statue that I finally beca a true Divine Artifact."
"Are... Are you really not going to lt down and extract the Divine Statue again?" the Roman Sword asked cautiously.
Clearly, although Charlotte had promised, after knowing one of her main purposes in visiting the Romany Duchy was the search for the ancient hall and Faceless Divine Statue, the Roman Sword was still anxious.
"Enough, stop imagining things. If I really wanted to lt you down, I would have done so in Luon, and wouldn't have needed to make a contract with you," Charlotte said irritably.
Having said that, she took a sip from the sweet milk that her maid Sherry had poured for her and then glanced at Nisi, who was eagerly circling the Roman Sword:
"If you still don't believe it, go and ask Nisi. I think... you two should have a lot in common."
Hearing Charlotte's words, the Roman Sword's attention finally shifted to a certain Black Cat with bright, excited eyes:
"Speaking of which... I've been aning to ask. Lord Nisi's aura... it feels sowhat familiar and close to ... Just who are you, Lord Nisi? Why do I sense a power almost akin to my own?"
"ow, of course, you feel a closeness. After all, my body, like yours, was crafted from a Divine Statue that Lord Charlotte lost," Nisi said proudly.
Having said that, it excitedly looked back at the Roman Sword, its eyes filled with curiosity:
"But... it's truly unexpected that Romannus could upgrade a Holy Artifact to a Wisdom Divine Artifact with the Faceless Divine Statue... It seems my research on mythology still isn't enough..."
"Crafted with the Divine Statue? Your body was made from the Faceless Divine Statue?!" the Roman Sword exclaid in surprise.
"Therefore... you can rest easy. rciful Lord Charlotte is even taking good care of , a useless being, let alone you, a Mythical Divine Artifact," Nisi declared matter-of-factly.
Upon hearing Nisi's words, the Roman Sword finally felt completely at ease.
"Right, speaking of which, I haven't completed the Roman family's Ancestor Recognition Ritual. My body does, after all, carry the blood of Roman; I should be able to undergo enhancent, right?"
Looking at the Roman Sword in front of her, Charlotte suddenly rembered the unfinished Ancestor Recognition Ritual and muttered to herself.
However, upon hearing her words, the Roman Sword's tone hinted at sothing odd:
"You? The Ancestor Recognition Ritual? This... surely not? You're not planning to use to purify your bloodline, are you?"
"More precisely, it's to improve this body's physical qualities," Charlotte said.
After speaking, she looked towards the Roman Sword:
"Is there a problem?"
"The problem is huge! I can indeed help mortals enhance their physical body and bloodline strength, but your body is hardly mortal anymore! Even though its strength might still be insufficient, in terms of quality, it's almost comparable to a Holy Body already!" the Roman Sword said.
Holy Body?
Charlotte was montarily taken aback.
The so-called Holy Body referred to the physique of a Saint. It was the vessel bestowed upon those with Mythical descent.
Having been transford by Divine Power, a Holy Body was no longer a re mortal vessel.
Hearing the words of the Roman Sword, Charlotte looked at her fair palm, contemplative.
"Co to think of it... she has indeed been feeling more adept at controlling Divine Power recently.
"Certainly... from the mont she ignited the Divine Fire, has her body been imperceptibly accepting the tempering and transformation of the Divine Fire?
"Also, during the mont in the Ancestor Recognition Ritual when she separated a drop of blood... previously, she had no capability to infuse Divine Power into her blood...
"Only 'Holy Artifacts' and 'Divine Artifacts' are capable of bearing Divine Power. Consequently, has her body unknowingly completed its transformation?"
