There’s an Ancient Hall beneath the Royal Capital?

Charlotte was surprised in her heart.

But at the sa ti, there was a feeling of realization.

Hidden underground, the Ancient Hall was naturally secretive. If the Blood Demon Church used this as a base, the Church might indeed be oblivious to what’s happening right under its nose.

However, Charlotte was also sowhat puzzled.

Were the Holy Royal Court, who were in control of Lutecia, really unaware of the ancient temple beneath their land?

With curiosity and doubt, Charlotte scanned her surroundings again.

She rembered that in the Northern Land’s Ancient Hall, there was an Ancient Divine Statue that she could rge with.

After searching around, Charlotte’s gaze naturally fell on the altar.

Indeed, there was a familiar divine statue there, identical to the one she had rged with so ti ago.

However, after rging with the Ancient Divine Statue once before, Charlotte seed to have beco more sensitive in certain aspects. Although the statue looked exactly the sa as the Northern one, she noticed sothing different.

This divine statue looked too new.

She stepped forward, sensed it carefully, and then realized it was a fake.

This statue was not original, containing no Blood Divine Power inside, just so turbid and mixed Bloodline Power.

The Divine Statue was connected to the prohibitions enveloping the Divine Hall, emitting a faint magic power, similar to the prohibitions in the Ancient Hall of the Northern Land.

That was a prohibition shielding from external exploration.

However, the prohibitions in this Ancient Hall were obviously not as strong as those in the Northern Land’s.

In the Northern Land’s Ancient Hall, once the prohibitions were activated, they could even block the eyes of the Gods, but this one could not.

Otherwise, Charlotte wouldn’t have been able to successfully perform "Divine Possession."

Charlotte could roughly guess the reason.

The prohibitions in the Ancient Hall were built around the Divine Statue. Since the statue was a fake, the prohibitions were naturally a weaker version, which was why her "Will Projection" was able to co through.

Charlotte pondered for a mont, then once again looked over the "ritual" before her.

Her gaze landed on the intersecting, grotesque blood vessels on the Divine Statue, and she soon recognized that this statue was part of the ritual, or more precisely, a container for collecting Bloodline Power.

Following the blood vessels, Charlotte saw them extending into the ground and connecting to a mysterious Array ford of grooves, which had turned a dark red color and still contained so tainted blood.

Combining the Sacrificial Array on the altar with the Holy Emblem of the Blood Demon Duke, Charlotte concluded:

This was not a Divine Descent ritual, but a sacrificial one, where the Blood Demon Church offered sacrifices and Bloodline Power to the Blood Demon Duke, seeking Divine Grace!

Charlotte thought about the scene when she had summoned the Blood Demon Priest.

Her mind stirred, she turned around and searched the hall, quickly noticing several unconscious children in a corner.

They looked pale, and their clothes were very shabby, clearly civilians from the Outer City District.

Charlotte narrowed her eyes, her gaze growing stern.

Becoming a Bloodline was a fluke, and although she beca a creature of darkness, Charlotte had always abided by the principles of humanity, never harming the innocent.

Seeing the Blood Demon Church using innocent children as offerings, increased her disgust.

"Sebastian said that there had been sacrificial cases involving the Blood Demon Church in Lutecia recently. So children from the Outer City District have gone missing; presumably, they were abducted by the Blood Demon Church for sacrifices."

Charlotte pondered thoughtfully.

The Blood Demon Church was more rampant than she had imagined, even daring such madness in the heart of the Church in the New Moon Diocese.

This ant that either their aims in Lutecia were significant, or they were confident they would not be detected by the Holy Royal Court.

She exhaled lightly, looking towards the children in the hall, contemplating how to rescue these poor souls.

At that mont, the grand door of the Divine Hall was knocked upon heavily.

Charlotte’s heart stirred, she withdrew her gaze, and then said in a deep voice,

"Co in."

Her voice sounded old and hoarse, and she was still sowhat unaccustod to it.

The door slowly opened, and three black-robed Blood Demon Cultists entered. They wore hoods, revealing only their pale faces and crimson eyes, all clearly Bloodline mbers.

They respectfully bowed to Charlotte, the leader stepping forward and said in a deep voice,

"Priest, the ssenger from the Angel Envoy has arrived and is waiting in your study."

The ssenger from the Dark Apostle?

Charlotte imdiately heightened her alertness.

She nodded slightly, expressionless,

"Understood."

The three Blood Demon Cultists rose, clearing the way in a manner that suggested they were inviting Charlotte to follow them.

Charlotte felt a bit awkward.

She didn’t know the way to the study.

Her gaze fell on the three Blood Demon Cultists, thinking about how to ask for directions without raising their suspicion or perhaps simply sending them away so she could act alone.

Just then, she noticed one of the Blood Demon Cultists looking towards the children in the hall.

Seemingly noticing Charlotte’s gaze, the Blood Demon Cultist quickly averted his eyes, but Charlotte sensed a trace of nervousness from him.

Nervous?

Perhaps because of "Will Projection" following "Divine Possession," or perhaps because she was operating from Dark Night Ancient Castle, or maybe because she was using a Blazing Sun’s body...

Charlotte found that her sensing abilities were much stronger than usual.
