Sebastian?

How is he here?

Charlotte’s heart skipped a beat.

In that instant, she even entertained the idea that he might have uncovered her true identity and followed her from reality...

Of course, she quickly dismissed that thought.

Because the person she was now completely differed in appearance and voice from her persona within the Dark Night Castle.

Not to ntion, the crimson mist that enveloped her at the ti had made it impossible for him to see her face clearly.

That only left one possibility, that he was actually in Bold City!

So... does the proximity of those crimson stars in the Blood Summon signify the distance between us in the real world?

Charlotte speculated in her mind.

Following that, she grew even more curious about Sebastian’s real-world identity.

Entering the banquet at Duke Mansion was not for just anyone—attendees were either ranked among the top nobles of Bold Duchy or were distinguished guests.

For example, so well-known musicians, writers, sculptors, minstrels, wandering knights, or traveling mages.

Then... what exactly was Sebastian’s identity?

"Who are you?"

Seeing the face even more handso than her own, the young nobles surrounding Charlotte imdiately displayed wary expressions, like a pack of huskies seeing a rival.

However, it didn’t take long for soone to notice the pointed ears hidden under Sebastian’s red hair:

"Pointed ears? You are... an elf?!"

An elf?

Charlotte’s heart stirred, and she too cast a glance at Sebastian.

Elves were renowned as longevity species in the world of Mireya, naturally transcendent beings with lifespans nearly twenty tis that of humans, typically living up to about fifteen hundred years.

They were active across many parts of the continent, with almost every rcenary corps having an elf among them, and so elves serving as minstrels, held in high regard by nobles.

Charlotte had previously noticed sothing unusual about Sebastian’s ears but had not expected him to be an elf!

"Allow to introduce myself; I am Sebastian Flaheart, a Fla Elf from Moon God Island."

Sebastian gave a slight smile, gracefully performing an Elf Clan’s gesture.

"Sebastian Flaheart? It is you? The president of Rose Association?!"

A young noble instantly recognized Sebastian’s identity.

Rose Association?

President?

Wait... the gang leader from the Outer City District?

Charlotte was stunned.

Then, a rather delicate mont followed.

All the young nobles simultaneously took a step back; they had been in front of Charlotte, but now she ended up shielding them.

Their expressions when they looked at Sebastian were either wary or terrified, resembling mice that had seen a cat.

Even more absurdly, a few young nobles promptly scurried away in a fluster, hunched over as if clutching their groins.

Charlotte: ...

What on earth was happening?

"You, you, you... what are you doing here? You traitor of Moon God Island! The disgrace of the Elf Clan! The filthy rat from the sewers!"

A son of a count vociferously exclaid.

However, listening to his trembling voice, Charlotte felt he had a blusterous but timorous air.

Despite the harsh insults, Sebastian was not angered at all.

He sipped a bit of red wine, leaned slightly forward, his handso face almost touching the terrified face of the count’s son.

He tilted his body a bit, blew a breath into the young man’s ear, then spoke in a low, llow voice:

"Lord Jordan..."

"I heard you attended the Drunk Dream Saloon in the abandoned district last week?"

"Does your father, the Count know about this? Or perhaps, do you also need to solve so ’minor issues’ for you?"

With a gentle smile and a slow, tender voice, Sebastian spoke.

However, upon hearing this, the son of the count shuddered violently and fell to the ground.

He looked at Sebastian’s smiling face in horror, as if seeing a frightful ghoul. He quickly scooted backward, then clutching his lower body he fled, shouting as he ran:

"No! No! I didn’t! I didn’t!"

"You... don’t co any closer! Don’t co any closer!"

"I don’t want to solve problems! I don’t want to solve problems!"

As the count’s son fled in distress, Sebastian turned his smiling eyes towards the remaining young nobles.

The rest shivered and instinctively shrank.

"Miss Charlotte, I suddenly rembered I have so business to attend to, let’s chat later!"

"I... I do too!"

They stuttered out various excuses and then, under Sebastian’s ambiguously smiling gaze, they too fled.

In less than a minute, not a single young noble remained around the young woman.

Watching their frantic retreat, Sebastian chuckled lightly.

He raised his wine glass elegantly and took a sip of red wine, then mockingly said:

"Truly a bunch of unreliable fellows, aren’t they?"

Charlotte: ...

He ca to find !

He specifically ca to find !

Watching Sebastian deliberately start the conversation, Charlotte quickly realized his true intent.

And with it ca deep caution.

She knew she had fooled him in the world of dreams.

But that was in the dream!

Now, in reality, she was just a non-tier-entering Transcendent, while he had reached at least the Second Tier of Silver Moon, and it was very likely he was a Third Tier of Blazing Sun!

Rumors said the president of the Rose Association was vicious and evil...

From the reactions of those young nobles just now, it was evident that Sebastian was not an easy mark, certainly having done sothing to instill such terror in them.

Charlotte really didn’t dare think about what would happen if he discovered he had been fooled...

Why was he seeking her out?

She shouldn’t have exposed herself.

Or perhaps... did he have another purpose in seeking her out?

Thoughts churned in Charlotte’s mind.

However, as a skilled actress, she quickly regained her composure.

She slightly tilted her head, displaying an innocent and naive expression, her large eyes full of apprehension and a bit bewildered:

"Are... are you a bad person?"

Sebastian was imdiately taken aback, seemingly not expecting such a question in response.

He turned to look at the girl and saw a beautiful yet immature face.

Although dressed in a mature gown, accessorized with various ornate, age-enhancing jewelry, the pure and lovely cheeks still exposed an innocence akin to a child’s, and her deep blue eyes sparkled with clarity, like a starry sky untouched by pollution.

She was still just an unworldly, naive child.

Sebastian almost instantly arrived at this conclusion.

At that mont, he even began to doubt his own visit.

Could such an unblemished child...

Really be linked to the "resurgence of the Evil God"?

However, when he recalled that she was an Offering who had survived the sacrificial ceremony, he quickly suppressed his hesitations.

Perhaps ordinary people wouldn’t understand.

But as an experienced elf, he knew that surviving a ceremony of that nature ant she must be hiding a secret!

Considering this, the girl’s innocent appearance suddenly made Sebastian cautious.

As the heir of a Great Noble, even if well protected, could one really remain so innocently cheerful after experiencing such an event?

Thinking so, Sebastian already had his answer.

He gave a slight smile, elegantly sipped so red wine, and said lightly:

"To those dandy young lords, I suppose I must be a bad person."

Saying this, he again looked toward the pure girl, his smile growing deep with aning:

"As for you, that will depend on whether you can answer so questions for ."

No!

She had overdone her act!

Charlotte quickly realized her slip and internally tensed.

She was preparing to and her response when she saw Sebastian suddenly shake his head:

"Never mind."

"I’ll just look for myself."

Having said that, the Fla Elf suddenly beca serious, his crimson eyes fixedly staring at Charlotte’s gaze.

In those ruby-like eyes, it seed as though streams of water were flowing:

"Spiritual Guardian, mory... Exploration!"

His emotionless voice fell, and Charlotte felt a surge of imnse spiritual power rushing at her like a wild horse, instantly smashing through her heart.

He wanted to explore her mory!

Charlotte was shocked and furious.

However, just as the fearso spiritual power burst into the girl’s consciousness, the "Blood Holy Scripture" in her mind suddenly burst into crimson radiance.

Charlotte felt herself being drawn in, once again returning to the Dark Night Ancient Castle in her dream world.

She once again beca the adult Charlotte, sitting high on the Blood Throne, clad in a black gown adorned with the thorny rose, towering over a tuxedo-clad Sebastian beneath her.

This ti, there was no scarlet mist to obstruct between them.

At the foot of the stairs, the bewildered Sebastian holding a wine glass.

He seed not to expect why his mory exploration had dragged his consciousness here.

And when he raised his head to see the Charlotte on the throne, who bore a striking resemblance to the young girl, recognizing the familiar form very similar to the "Lady of the Dark Night" in his mory, upon seeing the mysterious thorny rose pattern on her...

His bewildered look quickly turned into utter astonishnt.

Anger at being rudely probed still spread through Charlotte’s chest.

Especially upon seeing his direct gaze.

Under the augntation of the Holy Scripture power, the girl, annoyed and angered, nearly subconsciously blurted out:

"Get out!"

Ethereal, lodious.

Yet carrying an undeniable nobility and authority.

In that instant, Sebastian felt as if thunderclap had burst in his mind, and the spiritual guardian protecting his soul collapsed instantly, the whole world shattering in a mont!

As if struck by a teor, he felt his soul abruptly explode, as if countless cracks had ford.

His entire spiritual world shattered almost instantaneously, and an unstoppable force kicked Sebastian back to reality.

With a splitting headache, he staggered a few steps before his knees buckled, and he involuntarily spat out a mouthful of blood.

And when Sebastian raised his head again, his pale face was filled with disbelief, his eyes full of horror as he looked at the girl:

"Dark Night... Lady!"
