The conflict in the Northern Land had co to an end, and Castel had once more restored its peace.
Of course, finalizing everything would take ti, be it rewards or punishnts; none of these could be settled in a re mont.
However, these were no longer matters Charlotte needed to personally handle, as she had entrusted all such tasks to the newly ford Count’s cabinet.
The new cabinet still followed the old system of Castel with only minor improvents made by Charlotte, among which the three most important positions—Minister of Military Affairs, Foreign Affairs Director, and Finance Director—were held by Viscount Roman Fuer, Viscount Lien Castel, and Sebastian respectively.
There had been no earth-shattering changes from before, other than Sebastian replacing the Legris Family’s position, or more accurately, it was reclaid by the Count Mansion.
It is worth ntioning that Nisi was also thrown into the cabinet by Charlotte with the newly created title of Magic Advisor.
The idea of a cat entering the cabinet was preposterous, but in the end... the nobles of the Northern land did not oppose it.
The reasons were simple.
First, whether the nobles liked it or not, Charlotte’s authority had been established throughout the territory after two wars, and she had truly beco a respected lord with the submission of her vassals.
Second, no one in the territory truly regarded Nisi as just a Black Cat.
After all, what kind of pet cat in this world could design magic blueprints, craft magic tools, and possess theoretical knowledge deeper than the North’s most prestigious Mages?
So Northern Mages had begun to speculate that the Count Mansion’s Black Cat must indeed be an Alchemy Avatar of so well-known Mage.
Apart from this, there was the selection of promising nobles or their offspring from so minor and erging families to enter the Count Mansion to take on various positions.
From maids and attendants to stewards and directors, every position was available.
This was also the main thod by which the noble lords of Mireya maintained relationships with their vassals.
The rebellion had been quelled, and only two of the three Viscount families remained, but so Knight families that distinguished themselves in war took the opportunity to rise, destined to gain territories under Charlotte’s promise and beco the new power of the North.
Charlotte might not be able to rember them all, but the cabinet would keep them in mind and, with the help of positions within the Count Mansion and the subsequent marriages between families, would naturally integrate them into the Northern noble managent system.
Overall, although so noble families rose in status due to their war achievents, after two wars, the overall influence of the nobility in the North had clearly shrunk, while the strength of the lord had been greatly enhanced.
Speaking of which, the area of the directly administered domain had nearly doubled in size for Charlotte, although much of it was taken from the Legris Family’s exclaves, it had undeniably strengthened her control over her territories.
Especially the Castel silver mines, where the control had basically returned completely to the Count Mansion, and it would no longer be possible to be undermined by the nobles as it had been before her arrival.
After everything was over, Yulster did not continue to linger in Castel but returned to the Falling Star Kingdom as soon as possible.
Though curious about the whereabouts of the Ancestor, there were still matters within the Nais Clan that demanded his attention, and under Duke Yoroc’s repeated urging, he hurried back.
This, in turn, let Nisi heave a sigh of relief, as he would no longer have to face soone who knew his secret past.
Nisi did not disappoint Charlotte either, and within a few days, he had recorded the techniques and inscriptions of Nicholas’s Magic Energy Formation and presented them to her with both hands.
Charlotte’s own proficiency in magic was not particularly exceptional, relying almost entirely on the Blood Holy Scripture for assistance.
But even so, she could tell that the Magic Energy Formation technology provided by Nisi was incomparably more advanced than that of the Bold Duchy or even the New Moon Kingdom.
"Hey, naturally, what the New Moon Kingdom got was just stuff I researched hundreds of years ago. So many years have passed since then. Although my power has declined, my theoretical knowledge has constantly been refined. The version I’m giving you has been improved countless tis," Nisi said with human-like pride, hands on his hips in the study.
Charlotte was leisurely sitting behind her desk.
Today, she had changed into a noble silk dress suitable for travel, with black as the base color, intricately adorned with golden patterns and the embroidered family crest of the Castel family, making her appear more noble and mature than usual.
While sipping sweet milk, she browsed through the blueprints in hand and said smilingly:
"Not bad. Then, when it cos to building our own Transcendent Army for the territory, there shouldn’t be any problems leaving the technical aspects to you, right?"
Nisi seed to take great pleasure in the word "our."
He cast a proud glance at Sebastian, who was pouring the milk, and his tail lifted even higher:
"No problem, technical matters are up to !"
"Speaking of which... I’m a bit curious as to why you’re so familiar with these matters of the Transcendent Army Formation. Could it be that you once planned to build your own Transcendent Army?"
"Cough cough... Lord Charlotte, I was simply too young back then. Let’s not talk about it... let’s not talk about it..."
Nisi scratched his head, looking sowhat sheepishly evasive.
Charlotte raised an eyebrow but didn’t pry any further.
Although she had learned that Nisi was Nicholas, a Legendary Mage once renowned across the continent centuries ago, it was clear that he still had many secrets to himself.
For instance, how he had managed to offend so many Churches, and how he had turned into a cat, he had not told.
