In the northeast of Castel, at Legris Port.

As the na implies, this is the Legris Family’s last directly administered domain, the capital of the Viscount Legris Domain, and also the northernmost city in the Count Castel Territory.

Of course, this was also the last stronghold of resistance for the rebels.

As a frontier port city, Legris Port boasted a city defense system to rival that of North Port, causing considerable trouble for the Castel army’s siege.

But that was all it was, trouble.

After the main force of the Legris Family was annihilated, it was only a matter of ti before this place was breached.

Especially after the arrival of the support fleet led by Viscount Roman Fuer and Count Yulster.

In the face of the powerful Castel Fleet and the "Transcendent rcenaries" led by Count Yulster, the city could hardly mount any effective resistance.

It was rely a mont’s work in half a day, and Legris Port, which had held out for many days, was completely overrun.

At the port of Legris, rows of Castel warships had already retracted their stone-shooting cannons and were docked in port.

At the battered city gate, the formidable Castel army was entering the city in an orderly fashion under the command of noble officers.

The flag of the Legris Family, which had flown atop the city walls, had been taken down.

In its stead flew the war flag of Castel.

From today on, the history of the Legris Family ruling this city might co to an end.

However, what was strange was that, after entering Legris Port, the Castel army did not find any mbers of the Legris Family.

The only ones who surrendered were soldiers, while mbers of the entire Legris Family were not seen at all, as if they had evaporated into thin air.

"You haven’t found anyone yet?"

Inside the lord’s castle at Legris Port, the Fla Elf Lord Sebastian looked at the soldiers coming and going, his brow slightly furrowed.

The soldier shook his head:

"Lord Sebastian, no, there is no one in the castle, not even the servants or maids."

"What about the surrounding residents?"

The soldier hesitated for a mont before replying:

"Lord Sebastian, the surrounding residents said they could still see people coming and going in the castle yesterday, and it seed that the Legris Family had gathered all the nobles last night. Many people even thought that the Legris Family would use the castle as a base for their last stand..."

Sebastian’s eyes narrowed imdiately:

"But, there’s not a single person in the castle..."

"Interesting, the entire family, along with so many nobles, just disappeared from the castle as if by magic?"

After pondering for a mont, he said:

"The Legris Family wouldn’t just disappear into thin air; they must be hiding sowhere, or rather... they evacuated by so ans."

"Search, continue searching, even if you have to dig three feet into the ground! Check if there is a Teleportation Array hidden sowhere in the castle, or perhaps so secret tunnel."

"Yes!"

The soldiers saluted respectfully and then prepared to continue their action.

"Wait a mont!"

It seed he had rembered sothing, and Sebastian suddenly called out to them:

"Search for so special symbols..."

"Special... symbols?"

The soldiers blinked in confusion.

Sebastian nodded:

"Yes, special symbols, like those of a thorny rose, or perhaps a cat’s paw."

"In any case... if you see any suspicious symbols, co back and report to ."

Following Sebastian’s order, the soldiers began to move, continuing to search the lord’s castle.

And soon enough, there was indeed a discovery.

"Lord Sebastian! We found the mark you ntioned in the castle’s storeroom!"

A soldier ran over excitedly, panting.

"Oh? There really is a mark? What is it?"

Sebastian was sowhat surprised.

"It’s... a thorny rose, a mark of a thorny rose entwined with thorny vines!"

The soldier answered respectfully.

"Thorny rose?"

Lord Sebastian was montarily stunned, then chuckled,

"I never thought that guy would start sucking up to the master too."

"Let’s go, take to see."

...

Under the soldier’s guidance, Lord Sebastian quickly arrived at the castle’s storeroom.

He imdiately noticed the thorny rose pattern etched onto the wall of the storeroom. The pattern was not very standard, resembling claw marks rather than deliberate artistry, and it was a miracle that the soldiers could recognize it at all.

Lord Sebastian almost instantly deduced that this must be the handiwork of Black Cat Nisi.

"It seems that guy is still safe, probably taken away by the Legris Family,"

Lord Sebastian mused.

He observed the pattern on the wall carefully for a while before his gaze flickered.

All of a sudden, he drew a long sword from a nearby soldier’s scabbard and, channeling his magic power, he viciously struck the wall.

The strength surpassing that of an ordinary Silver Moon erupted in an instant, and the entire wall shattered, revealing a dark, ominous passage.

"A secret passage! It’s a secret passage!"

The surrounding soldiers exclaid.

"You stay here and guard, I’ll go in and take a look,"

Lord Sebastian’s eyes flickered as he commanded.

With that, he picked up the long sword and disappeared into the darkness.

...

It was a typical secret underground passage found in noble castles.

However, after entering, Lord Sebastian quickly discovered that this passage was not as simple as it seed at first glance.

Delving deeper, he found that this underground passage connected to many more, forming a crisscrossing network beneath the ground, much like a vast underground city.

All these passages were made of brick and stone, but they looked very ancient. Even with Lord Sebastian’s centuries of life experience, he couldn’t imdiately determine the specific era of these passages.

After entering the passage, Lord Sebastian continually found thorny rose marks left behind in corners, a sign at every segnt, guiding him deeper and deeper.

And after walking for an unknown length of ti, he finally arrived at a spacious underground area, and what entered his sight was a magnificent underground palace.

No, perhaps it should not be simply called a palace.

Looking at the religious frescoes that depicted ancient, tiworn scenes of towers and battlefields, and the decrepit, indistinct divine statue worshiped in front of the palace, a notion stirred in Lord Sebastian’s heart:

"Is this... an Underground Divine Palace?"

Taking a deep breath, Lord Sebastian carefully searched the temple for the Holy Emblem, trying to determine the deity this hidden temple, buried for untold years, was dedicated to.

However, to his surprise, all of the places where the Holy Emblem should have been were deliberately erased.

But, as he searched for the Holy Emblem, he once again ca across the thorny rose mark.

Without drawing attention, he continued to follow the marks, deeper into the temple, eventually arriving at an ancient stone door.

It was a colossal stone door, at least twenty ters tall.

The door was engraved with indistinct patterns, and surrounding these motifs were a series of grooves.

From the grooves emitted a strong sll of blood. With one glance, Lord Sebastian saw so residual bloodstains.

At the center of the door, there was also a symbol of a Demon’s eye which was clearly newly engraved; it was faintly apparent that before this symbol, there were other marks originally on the door.

"This is..."

Lord Sebastian’s gaze beca focused.

"This is the mark of the Blood Demon Duke..."

"Heh, I really didn’t expect that the Northern Land would still have an Ancient Hall hidden within; no wonder the Blood Demon Church bunch of lunatics wanted to pull so tricks here,"

A languid voice ca from behind him, and Lord Sebastian instantly beca alert.

He almost instinctively pulled out his weapon, and then saw a handso young man in black clothing appear behind him.

"Bloodline?"

Seeing the other’s crimson eyes, Lord Sebastian raised an eyebrow.

The handso young man responded with a slight smile, examining Lord Sebastian up and down,

"Red hair, tailcoat, you must be the Ancestor’s butler, Lord Sebastian, right?"

"Pleased to et you, Lord Sebastian. You may call Yulster."
