Wild Beasts.

A type of beast tainted by the polluted power of fallen deities, possessing all sorts of powers that could rival the deities themselves—these are also one of the main threats that the people of the Northern Border face when traveling outside.

After Halfdan explained to Charlotte what Wild Beasts were, she instantly realized what they truly were.

What kind of beasts with power comparable to a deity... This, in fact, was a Demon Beast!

"Mireya’s nurous volus all ntion that the Demon Beasts of this world were created when the blood of deities slain in the wars of the gods spilled onto the earth, almost identical to Halfdan’s description..."

"It seems, then, that I really have crossed over thousands of years into the past."

Recalling the various books she had read before crossing over, Charlotte sighed inwardly.

"Lord Halfdan, does that an... the Knights you hunt regularly are Wild Beasts? And the offerings for the Apoca... um, Apocalypse, are also hunted Wild Beasts?"

Charlotte continued to inquire.

Halfdan nodded:

"Yes, Wild Beasts represent a terrifying pollution to us, but to the Lords of the Apocalypse, they are a resource that can be utilized. It is said that the Divine Weapons we use... are crafted by Lords of the Apocalypse using materials from the Wild Beasts’ bodies."

Terrible pollution, huh...

Charlotte mused silently, nodding slightly.

An uncontrollable transcendent power is indeed a horrible pollution to the mundane. That was exactly how the forbidden areas in Bold City were ford.

Not only that, but the volus she had read also described in detail the very first Demon Beasts that appeared in Mireya thousands of years ago...

Having been tainted by "Divine Blood," the earliest Demon Beasts were more violent and chaotic, nowhere near as "ta" as the Demon Beasts of later generations; they were almost synonymous with "catastrophe."

Perhaps only a naturally magical being like the Elf Clan could consider it as magical crafting material.

Of course, there was also Charlotte.

For her, it mattered not how violent the Demon Beasts of this era were; it was the transcendent blood within them that was most useful to her.

And as ancestors to the many Demon Beasts of later generations, the transcendent power in the Wild Beasts’ blood of this era would only be stronger, more advantageous for her to regain her strength!

"Lord Halfdan, could you take to see the Wild Beasts you’ve hunted?"

Drinking up the at soup from her bowl, Charlotte asked nonchalantly.

Halfdan scratched his head:

"Well... Lord Heir of the Apocalypse, it has been two days since I last hunted a Wild Beast, and being out alone, I couldn’t possibly carry a beast’s large carcass back with . I’m afraid I will have to disappoint you."

"However, if you want to see the materials from a Wild Beast’s body, I do have quite a few here. I plan to bring them back as offerings for the Lords of the Apocalypse."

As he said this, Halfdan took a backpack from nearby and pulled out a bulging leather bag.

Upon seeing that bag, Charlotte’s gaze flickered.

She noticed the language of the Elf Clan on the leather bag. Another transcendent item.

Taking the leather bag, Charlotte examined it carefully:

"A sealing bag?"

"Yes, this is a Divine Bag bestowed upon us by the Lords of the Apocalypse. Only with this bag can we carry the materials from the hunted Wild Beasts without attracting other Beasts that can track the scent."

Halfdan explained.

Charlotte nodded slightly and opened the bag.

Inside were fur, bones, and chunks of at, all stained with blood.

She could feel the transcendent power in these items.

These... were all Demon Beast materials!

And when her gaze fell on one of the earthenware jars inside, her eyes suddenly lit up.

She slled a familiar scent.

A scent fatally attractive to the Bloodline!

"This is..."

"This jar contains the blood of a Wild Beast. So Lords of the Apocalypse also require that we offer the blood of Wild Beasts, so I also collect so when I hunt."

Halfdan clarified.

Transcendent blood!

Charlotte couldn’t help but swallow, her eyes shining even brighter.

Blood was a supplent for the Bloodline, and transcendent blood was undoubtedly the greatest supplent among them!

Such a large jar of transcendent blood was likely enough for her to recover her magic power.

"Lord Heir of the Apocalypse, if you like, you may have this jar of Wild Beast blood."

Watching Charlotte’s eager gaze, Halfdan offered respectfully.

"Oh, give it to ? But isn’t this your spoil of war? Are you sure it’s okay to give it to ?"

Charlotte asked casually.

Although she said this, her hand holding the jar was already unwilling to let go.

Halfdan scratched his head, saying:

"To be honest, I don’t understand what the Lords of the Apocalypse can do with this Wild Beast blood. I understand the use of bones and fur; after all, my Divine Bow was crafted from Wild Beast bones, and the fur can be used to make Divine Bags..."

"But this Wild Beast blood... I really can’t see the use. Even a touch of it could potentially corrode a big hole in one’s skin, so I always have to be careful when collecting it, and the reward after offering it is the least..."

"If it weren’t for the fact that I didn’t collect much on this trip, I wouldn’t have bothered with this stuff. Carrying it with , I had to always be cautious about whether it would leak out, worried about contaminating the entire Divine Bag."

"Seeing as you seem to like it so much, you can take it."

Hearing Halfdan’s words, Charlotte felt a stir inside her and began to guess.

Demon Beasts contained transcendent power, but the distribution of that power within them also followed certain patterns.
