Nisi...?

Charlotte's gaze shifted slightly.

She was not unfamiliar with this na.

On her first day in the Church Hospital, lying on the sickbed, she had overheard this na during a conversation outside her door.

At that ti, the person conversing with the young Demon Hunting Knight standing at the doorway was called "Lord" Nisi.

Initially, Charlotte had thought "Nisi" was just a powerful Demon Hunting Knight with a peculiar speech pattern.

But now, it seed that the other party was not soone with a speech impedint; he was actually just a cat!

The other party... was an intelligent transcendent being!

Moreover, for so reason, Charlotte felt that this creature seed familiar, as if she had seen it sowhere before.

The Black Cat sat upright on the ground, its amber vertical pupils reflecting the moonlight, making them look like luminous lamps under the night sky as it solemnly gazed at Charlotte.

Charlotte's heart sank.

The Holy Royal Court had always regarded the Bloodline as one of the evil Deceit Demons that must be eradicated.

And the Demon Hunting Institute was a law enforcent body under the Holy Royal Court specially dealing with Deceit Demon matters.

Even though the Black Cat claid to be a follower of the Contract God, during her stay in the hospital, Charlotte had learned quite a bit about many of the deities in this world.

The Contract God was an ancient deity, also a mber of the Holy Royal Court, one of the sub-gods following the Divine Lord Haral...

Clearly, in a sense, the Black Cat was also a Transcendent under the Holy Royal Court.

By analogy, it was like a secondary institution under the administrative unit of the Heavenly Dynasty in her previous life...

The sudden appearance of the Black Cat, deeply connected with the Demon Hunting Institute, was definitely not just for a simple chat to cultivate relations with Charlotte.

Especially, the conspicuous slight jeering tone in its words further indicated that it was not bearing good intentions...

At one mont, Charlotte even suspected that maybe this kidnapping had been orchestrated by it.

At this mont, her heart clenched.

Charlotte was in a terrible state now.

Not to ntion that the other party might be a transcendent being who had achieved a high rank.

Even if it were truly just a talking Black Cat, after her recent climax, she felt she had no energy left to confront it.

Even the crossbow arrow she had just shot was preloaded by the first attendant she had killed!

She had neither the strength nor the ti to reload a crossbow arrow now.

However, this mysterious Black Cat had neither ambushed her nor directly attacked upon eting, which slightly cald Charlotte down.

Perhaps the other party was also unsure of her actual strength?

"It showing itself voluntarily ans it believes I pose no threat to it."

"But it didn't attack right away, which ans it still harbors so apprehension towards !"

"Plus, the way it just addressed ..."

"Your Majesty?"

"Could it be... it mistook for a high-ranking figure of the Bloodline?"

Charlotte's thoughts were exceptionally quick to further assess the situation.

Truth be told, it was her first ti hearing the title "Your Majesty," and the other party's tone beca noticeably serious and grave upon using this title.

This piqued Charlotte's curiosity.

What exactly... does it think she is?

A perverse old monster inhabiting a young girl's body?

With this thought, Charlotte's mind gradually beca more agile.

Although she was unaware of the misunderstanding the self-proclaid follower of the Contract God, the Black Cat, had about her,

since it showed so apprehension, she might as well continue to feign according to its fears and misunderstandings...

Ti to showcase her acting skills!

It just so happened that she was well versed in this matter!

Her thoughts organized, Charlotte suddenly felt capable again.

She first let out a light laugh, naturally taking a seat on the blood-stained wreckage of the carriage, elegantly crossing one fair and slender leg over the other.

Her indifferent gaze didn't even glance at the solemn Black Cat, but instead, she took an interested look at the crossbow in her hand, seemingly not taking the other into consideration at all.

Her cold and lofty voice ford a sharp contrast with her sweet and pleasant appearance, carrying an age-inappropriate depth of worldly experience:

"Mortals may be humble ants, but it is these humble mortals who actually rule the world."

"Once they possess tools of their own, even weak mortals can slay powerful and arrogant giant dragons..."

Saying this, Charlotte let out a soft chuckle.

She carelessly threw the crossbow to the ground, slightly leant back, one hand horizontally supporting her chest and the other resting on top, elegantly supporting her smooth chin.

Her deep and aged eyes looked down at the increasingly solemn Black Cat, and she aningfully said,

"Being weak and ignorant has never been the original sin of destruction."

"Arrogance... that is."

Her speech was slow and forceful.

Though it was cold and distant, it was imnsely oppressive.

Unntionable.

The scene was like one out of a blood-splattered horror.

A beautiful girl seemingly unaffected, sitting amid it all.

Coupled with her dignified, seasoned presence and her profound gaze, the dissonant and striking impact was unprecedented.

Quite formidable.

The Black Cat's chubby face almost instantly turned grave.

Charlotte's words seed to have stirred so long-gone mories within it.

Its gaze beca distant and thoughtful, its expression constantly shifting.

After a long while, it let out a light sigh, bowed deeply to Charlotte with respect, and sowhat desolately said,

"You are right to criticize, just now... Nisi was indeed arrogant."

With that, the Black Cat slowly raised its head and looked up again at the girl seated high on the carriage wheel.

That look caused it to briefly pause, its amber vertical pupils suddenly dilating, shooting a terrifying gleam directly at Charlotte.

Then, it didn't shift its gaze away.

Hmm?

Feeling the Black Cat's intense and highly "aggressive" gaze, Charlotte's heart skipped a beat.

Her peripheral vision discreetly followed the line of sight, quickly realizing that the focus was on her long, beautiful legs...

The violent outburst just monts ago had left her dress in tatters, especially around the lower body.

Her originally white thigh-high stockings had ripped a multitude of silvery runs, revealing fair, shapely calves and tender skin.

The pair of black leather boots was nowhere to be seen.

Only her delicate, perky, fair, and fleshy little feet were exposed.

And at that mont, the girl was lazily sitting atop the carriage wreckage, looking down from above at the Black Cat seated on the ground.

Her youthful, tender legs were poised as mature and elegant crossed knees, lifting the ragged hem of her dress to just the right height...

Charlotte: ...

Her eyes slightly cool, she let out a soft grunt, quickly lowered her raised leg, then sat up straight, knees closely together.

A trace of disappointnt briefly flitted across the Black Cat's anthropomorphic face.

After a brief eye contact with the girl's increasingly frosty blue eyes, it swallowed a gulp of saliva, nonchalantly shifting its gaze away, nervously whistling.

Charlotte: ...

Damn!

So this fat cat is also a LSP!
