She she she she he...!

How could she just summon that smug Book Spirit so easily?!

Watching the Book Spirit bow and scrape like a servile servant, the Bloodline girl’s eyes widened, almost doubting her life.

Heavens be my witness, she regularly fed essence blood, and still, it had looked down on her with disdain, responding to her sporadically!

Yet, Charlotte was not surprised by the appearance of the Book Spirit.

Just now, the creature had tried to invade her body but ended up having a considerable amount of power seized by her, and inherently, she could feel its extre fear of her.

This was also very normal.

After all, Charlotte possessed the ability to completely destroy this Book of Undead at any ti!

Divine Artifacts were not unfamiliar to Charlotte.

After obtaining the power of Divine Grace Blessing in the past half-year, she had specifically researched how to infuse Divine Power into objects to turn them into Divine Artifacts.

Although her Blood Divine Power was too precious and she currently lacked enough materials for Divine Artifacts, which resulted in her failure to produce a set of corresponding Divine Artifacts for herself, through extensive reading, she had gained a deeper understanding of Divine Artifacts and Holy Artifacts.

Like Divine Artifacts, Holy Artifacts were also creations of deities, encapsulating Divine Power.

Broadly speaking, since they were creations of deities, Holy Artifacts could also be classified as a type of Divine Artifact, though the Transcendents of the Mireya world often preferred to categorize them separately.

Unlike Divine Artifacts, Holy Artifacts possess an Artifact Spirit.

This ans that Holy Artifacts are intelligent weapons.

However, this did not an that Holy Artifacts were more potent than Divine Artifacts.

In fact, the opposite is true, the power of Holy Artifacts is generally much weaker than that of Divine Artifacts...

This is because the ans of output and power source of Divine Artifacts is "Divine Power," whereas the power source of Holy Artifacts is the offerings and sacrifices of the "Contractor."

In the end, Divine Artifacts were equipnt crafted by deities for their avatars when they walked the earth. Although Mortals could use them, they often had to pay a heavy price.

On the other hand, Holy Artifacts were equipnt specially made by deities for their Deputies. Although they also had a usage cost, the expense was within the realm of what mortals could bear.

Holy Artifacts cannot use Divine Power as their "source" of power; for them, "Divine Power" is the lifeline that sustains the existence of the Artifact Spirit.

If there’s too much Divine Power in a Holy Artifact, the Artifact Spirit that cannot bear it will be Devoured by the Divine Power.

If there’s too little Divine Power in a Holy Artifact, the Artifact Spirit will fall into slumber or even dissipate, and the Holy Artifact will degrade to a re mundane weapon.

Whether there are Divine Artifacts with Artifact Spirits, Charlotte wasn’t sure.

At least, the literature she had read didn’t seem to have any records of such Divine Artifacts with spirits.

Having an Artifact Spirit seems to be a Taboo for a Divine Artifact...

And because of this, Charlotte knew very well that if she wanted to destroy this book, simply sucking out the tiny bit of Divine Power within would suffice.

Of course, she could also do the opposite by infusing Divine Power to corrupt and Devour the Book Spirit.

In that case, maybe the Holy Artifact would transform into an even more potent Divine Artifact.

Of course, by doing so, the Book Spirit would dissipate, which for an intelligent weapon like a Holy Artifact, ant it was tantamount to "death."

Charlotte knew this, and so did the Book Spirit, feeling the Blood Divine Power within her.

For the sake of survival, it was quite normal for the Book Spirit to submit.

Of course, these matters were unknown to the young Bloodline girl and the middle-aged Knight.

They could only widen their eyes, incredulously watching that Book Spirit, which was once arrogant but now respectfully humble, its tone obsequious like a dog...

"Reclaim all the Undead."

Charlotte commanded, casting a casual glance at the Book Spirit.

"The exalted one, I humbly obey your command..."

The Book Spirit bowed deeply to Charlotte, and the Book of Undead shone with a profound glow, the surging Undead Tide instantly collapsed, all the Undead dissipated into streaks of light, heading towards the Book of Undead.

At the sa ti, the Bloodline girl, tightly bound, paled, dizzy and faint, her presence even more withered.

She widened her eyes, looking at the dog-like Book Spirit with an even more incredulous gaze, her heart filled with shock and anger:

This despicable, shaless, damned Book Spirit!

It was soone else’s command, yet it had the audacity to consu her power to retrieve the summoned Undead!

Noticing the girl’s gaze, Charlotte looked back at her with a smirk.

Having researched Divine Artifacts and Holy Artifacts for half a year, Charlotte was well aware that Holy Artifacts required a Contractor, and also knew that these two had been trying to trap her.

But who made her have a cheat code?

Ultimately, for the Book Spirit to use power, it had to be triggered by an external force, and since it didn’t dare to defy her, naturally, it sought to take advantage of its own Contractor.

It was simply a case of the girl reaping what she had sown.

Having resolved the Undead Tide issue, Charlotte closed the Book of Undead.

The Book Spirit, as if granted amnesty, bowed respectfully to her, and then with a whoosh, darted back into the book, so fast it seed terrified of being flayed alive had it lingered a second longer.

Charlotte naturally handed the Book of Undead to Sebastian for temporary safekeeping, then elegantly seated herself in a noble chair that Sebastian had conjured out of nowhere, casually crossing her legs.

Sebastian promptly served Charlotte a glass of sweet milk, ah... still presented in a crystal goblet.

Charlotte almost subconsciously took it, her movents practiced and graceful.
