"Children, you have been saved."
"Now it’s still not safe outside, you’ll need to bear with staying here a little longer."
"..."
"Children, I have so very unfortunate news for you. The Church has marked you for purification, you can no longer return..."
"Is it true or false? Of course, it’s true. Don’t worry, I will protect you."
"You want to see your family? Sorry, that’s not possible."
"Let help you check your bodies and purify the filth from them."
"..."
"Behave! Why won’t you behave?"
"Do you want to be purified by the Holy Light?! Do you want to implicate your own families?"
"Good... just behave, yes, that’s right, just like that..."
"Um... wonderful... I like obedient children."
"Co, my precious ones, today I will teach you so new knowledge..."
"..."
"Ah, my dear precious ones, why do you grow up so fast?"
"So fast... that it’s starting to disappoint ."
"..."
"Who? Who leaked the information?!"
"Do you really think you can escape from the palm of my hand?!"
"Do you know who he really is? Do you know who stands behind him?!"
"Foolish! You are truly foolish!"
"Tonight, you will be punished!"
"Cry, cry louder! Scream! Scream louder!"
"..."
"Hmph, Anthony, don’t think you can threaten with this!"
"I can agree to cooperate with you, but you must also do sothing for !"
"What is it? Of course, it’s to take care of them for ."
"I’m tired of it."
"I need new treasures."
...
"My dear treasures, goodbye..."
"Thank you for your companionship over the years."
...
The scene finally stopped in the darkness.
Charlotte exited the fragnts of mory, feeling a chill in her heart:
"So it turns out... not all the girls from the Fla Demon Disaster ten years ago perished."
"So survived, only to be taken away by the Great Priest."
"He’s truly a pervert, a pervert who loves immature girls!"
"He kept them captive, and then Tulip Count Anthony followed the trail and caught him red-handed..."
"They still couldn’t escape the fate of being sacrificed, only... their fate was even more tragic than those girls sacrificed before the Fla Demon Disaster!"
Charlotte cald her emotions and looked towards the remaining mory fragnts.
There weren’t many mory fragnts left, only a few hundred.
But their glow was deeper, colder, and the breath they exuded was even more desperate.
Charlotte hesitated for a mont and then continued to look.
Soon, she saw the Great Priest’s figure in the mories once again.
No.
Rather, the Great Priest was in every following mory.
That Clergyman, revered and upright among the citizens of Bold, was like a Demon from Hell in these mory fragnts!
He didn’t bring the girls hope or light, but despair and darkness that slowly dragged them into the abyss!
These last few hundred mory fragnts represented hundreds of poor girls hard by the Great Priest and then discarded back to the Drunk Dream Saloon for disposal!
Going through each mory fragnt, Charlotte’s anger grew.
Even she, who had lived two lives, shuddered at the sight of so depraved and cruel thods and behaviors in those mories.
While browsing those mories, she could sowhat resonate with their owners.
She could clearly sense the pain, fear, and despair of the girls.
These girls, whose lives had just begun, with a bright future ahead of them, yet... in the end, they died in despair under the clutches of the Blood Demon Church and the Great Priest.
Even in death, their souls could not find peace, and their obsessions and resentnts lingered here forever.
These were their mories.
And their resentnts.
Charlotte was filled with indignant rage. She did not consider herself a good person, but everything in the mories still crossed her inner moral line, causing her profound discomfort and outrage.
Deep in her consciousness, the Blood Holy Scripture trembled slightly with her emotions, as if responding to its master’s will. Terrifying ntal fluctuations spread around, shaking the entire Dream world, on the verge of collapse...
Charlotte quickly realized her lapse and hurriedly cald her emotions, stabilizing the strange mory space.
She lifted her head, looking towards the front of the corridor.
On both sides, the fragnts of mory were gone, and she had already reached the endpoint of the dream world.
However, at the end of the path, there remained the darkest mory fragnt, quietly floating in midair, flickering with a chilling, dim light.
Charlotte approached the fragnt.
For the last ti, she reached out her hand.
Touching the dark fragnt, imnse mories surged into her consciousness once more.
It was the vision of countless overlapping mory fragnts...
She saw hundreds of Blood Demon Cultists clad in black robes, holding high the Demon Eye and Dark Cross, prostrating in worship before an altar built of dry bones.
She saw the cave’s ceiling, where thick blood slowly dripped down into a pool of blood, shimring with a crimson glow, finally being slowly absorbed by the coffin on the central altar...
She heard the overlapping fervent voices praying and calling together:
"Wanderer of the Abyss and the mortal world,"
"Incarnation of the Fallen and decay,"
"The Savior of the Descendants of Blood..."
"The great Blood Demon Duke—Yabaton!"
"Your humble servants offer you the powers of darkness and despair!"
"Darkness forges the Holy Body,"
"Despair coalesces the Holy Spirit!"
"May Your will walk the earth... as in the Demon Abyss!"
"..."
The fanatical prayers echoed without end.
Charlotte watched as the deep glow spread, blossod, and saw the black mist perating...
In a hazy vision, she seed to glimpse a towering figure casting its gaze down from within the mory fragnt.
She felt an ancient and profound gaze rest upon the Blood Demon Cultists, but the next mont, the mist subtly shifted.
It seed she saw a pair of deep, crimson eyes, quietly turning, peering through countless dinsions, directly at her.
Those eyes were indescribable in words.
Crimson, darkness.
Like two profound black holes.
Vaguely, Charlotte thought she heard a majestic and icy voice:
"Who?"
The voice seed to resonate at the back of Charlotte’s mind, thunderous as rolling thunder, causing echoing reverberations.
In an instant, the dream world shattered violently, and Charlotte returned to reality.
Her mind spun, the world whirled, and thunderous echoes trembled in her consciousness; she couldn’t help but stagger.
Only when the Blood Holy Scripture flickered faintly, and the cool touch of Blood Divine Power brushed over her consciousness, did she return to normal.
"Master, are you... alright?"
Sebastian’s concerned voice quickly followed.
"I’m fine."
Charlotte took a deep breath and said.
Lifting her gaze once more, the girl looked towards the dry bones in the cave, eventually settling on the coffin on the altar that emanated a heart-throbbing aura.
Charlotte’s expression was more solemn than ever.
She probably... already knew what ceremony was being conducted here.
"This isn’t a Fla Demon summoning ceremony."
Charlotte shook her head.
"Not a Fla Demon summoning ceremony?"
Sebastian’s gaze flickered.
"That’s right."
Charlotte nodded slightly, her eyes resting solemnly on the altar at the center of the blood pool, saying:
"This is..."
"Ritual for Divine Descent!"
She paused for a mont, as she spoke, Charlotte was startled.
For just as she uttered those words, a crisp and lodious voice almost simultaneously spoke what she intended to say.
Charlotte quickly turned around.
At the entrance of the cave stood the little girl in a white dress.
Her figure ethereal, she lifted the corner of her skirt, performing a perfect noble curtsey to Charlotte:
"Greetings... oh great and mysterious being..."
"I am Mary de Broglie."
Saying this, she seed hesitant, but finally couldn’t help looking at Charlotte, her ethereal face showing a trace of anxiety:
"Should I... address you as Miss Charlotte?"
