After walking with Haini, the sky had completely darkened.
It was past ten o’clock at night.
Haini had no idea where she had found a large amount of data, which the two of them were slowly browsing through a projector in the room.
All these materials were about various abnormalities and observational records in Naxi Town over the decades.
"My family has always been very interested in these mysterious phenona, but as you know, we’re not Blind Spot Individuals, so the family organized an institution called the Eternal Song Association, recruiting Blind Spot Individuals from around us to help gather information on this matter," Haini said as casually as possible, making it seem like the Eternal Song Association was just a very simple and common organization.
But in fact, whether it was the large number and variously powerful layers of blood zombies or those desperate Eternal Song Association Blind Spot Individuals seeking life’s essentials, they all posed an absolute danger to both the local situation and outsiders in Naxi Town.
"Even Blind Spot Individuals?" Li Chengyi said in surprise.
"Yes, for common people, Blind Spots are just one of many accidents, similar to car crashes and drownings. But to organizations that pay a little more attention, Blind Spots represent danger and potential.
Blind Spot Individuals are also a rather pitiable group. Our organization can provide them with quite a bit of training and help, on the one hand giving them a job, and on the other, allowing them to help us monitor this island," Haini explained succinctly.
"You’ve really been thorough," Li Chengyi sighed as he watched the projected pages turn.
Suddenly, the remote in his hand paused slightly.
"Wait, can you rewind that part?"
"What’s wrong?" Haini didn’t notice anything amiss and looked at him quizzically.
To be honest, at first she held out hope for finding the Eternal Wishing Book, but now, her brother Lekra had much greater hope in this regard.
It had been a long ti since she had thoroughly looked through these records.
"On the island, apart from Elsa, another one hundred and nineteen people consu Miringbell Grass, but according to the data, it seems they are not like Elsa... Their consumption levels are much higher than Elsa’s and show a continuous trend of increasing," Li Chengyi said.
"Isn’t that normal?" Haini asked, puzzled.
In the room, she leaned against Li Chengyi, looking at the images projected on the wall, not seeing any problem.
Right now, her greater interest was in getting as physically close to him as possible.
"It is normal, the key is... this Elsa," Li Chengyi said quietly.
Consuming addictive drugs always leads to an uncontrollable decline in self-control, and due to drug tolerance, more and more is consud.
But Elsa has always controlled her intake to a standard amount, suppressing what should have been a continuously increasing consumption.
"Have you investigated Elsa?" Li Chengyi asked.
"Of course, she’s a descendant of Tomira, so naturally we’ve investigated her many tis," Haini replied, "But there’s nothing unusual; every ti she consus Miringbell Grass, she just falls to the ground, drowsy and incoherent."
"Have you found any diaries or anything like that?" Li Chengyi pondered for a mont and asked.
"No."
Haini replied.
"Brother, why are you so interested in this?"
"That’s the Book of Wishes, who wouldn’t want it?" Li Chengyi joked.
Haini also laughed and didn’t ask any more.
Following this, the data revealed that the people from the Eternal Song Association were dispatched together to try consuming Miringbell Grass among various other hallucinogens.
They attempted to align their thought frequencies with the consurs to then understand them.
And the results of the test...
Click.
The data ended.
"They all died," Haini sighed. "Blind Spot Individuals suddenly vanished, pulled into the Blind Spot. Common people kept increasing their intake until they finally overdosed and died from the toxicity."
At this point, one could feel a trace of the Eternal Song Association’s cruel nature.
But Li Chengyi seed oblivious, putting down the remote control.
Consuming Miringbell Grass produced hallucinations, which made him feel even more that he could find so clues from Elsa.
The data had given him quite a bit of inspiration.
Since he couldn’t get information from Elsa’s mouth, he decided to investigate her mind.
"Is there a way to see what they saw after consuming Miringbell Grass?" he asked softly.
"A brainwave connector would work, but you would need to consu a lot of drugs to match your brainwaves with theirs. Plus, you’d need a decoder to decrypt and transfer the data," Haini replied. "And such transcodes inherently have loss."
"Brother, are you intending to directly investigate the Tomira in Elsa’s hallucinations?" Yserine suddenly appeared, saying aloud.
"Even Elsa’s house has been investigated in the data, and Blind Spot Individuals have been living around it for a long ti; still, there’s not a single clue. Under such circumstances, the only possibility is that the clues have completely disappeared, eroded by ti," Li Chengyi answered internally.
"If that’s the case, I can give it a try," Yserine said. "My teacher taught to fully utilize my abilities to unearth even more power. So, linking to soone else’s consciousness, I can do that too. Just like now, my consciousness and brother’s have been continuously connected for a long ti."
"Are you sure you can do it?" Li Chengyi’s heart surged.
Unexpectedly, coming here to investigate, it was always Yserine who played a key role.
"I can, but the other person needs to be in a calm state. Brother, you’d better find a suitable excuse, so she won’t beco overly wary and guarded against you," Yserine said.
"Alright!"
Regaining his senses.
Haini was already nestling entirely against his chest, her eyes intoxicatingly close to his.
Like a pretty white kitten.
"This is for you," Haini said gently, pinning a red circular badge to Li Chengyi’s chest.
"This is the internal insignia of our Eternal Song Association. When you run into danger or trouble, if soone on the island sees it, they will co to your aid."
"Thank you... Haini," Li Chengyi said softly as he stroked her hair, a relaxed smile on his face.

The next day.
Early in the morning, Li Chengyi and Chen Jiahan went together to Elsa’s house.
anwhile, Haini was called by her brother, and the sound of a fierce argunt ca from their room. But all of this was now irrelevant to Li Chengyi.
Thump, thump, thump.
Chen Jiahan knocked on the door.
Li Chengyi stood behind him.
The two of them waited for a little while before Yserine, looking listless, opened the door and looked at them.
"Good morning, it seems you reporters all get up very early."
"Sorry, miss, ti is of the essence," Li Chengyi said with a smile, offering her a large bill.
Yserine’s expression beca slightly better.
After taking the bill and seeing the denomination, her face brightened even more.
She stepped aside to let the two n in.
Li Chengyi and Chen Jiahan entered one after the other, only to be surprised to find that soone else had arrived earlier than them.
A middle-aged man with a diterranean haircut was accompanied by two young people, a man and a woman who were pacing around the house, apparently looking for sothing.
All three were wearing gray tracksuits, not very well-fitted, but they allowed for freedom of movent.
When the middle-aged man noticed Li Chengyi and his companion entering the door, his gaze shifted to Li Chengyi.
Unexpectedly, his attention was imdiately drawn to the red badge pinned on Li Chengyi’s chest.
After giving Li Chengyi a deep look, the man greeted Yserine and then left the house with the two young people.
"Can I ask who those people were?" Li Chengyi turned to Yserine.
"They said they’re from the Ethics Committee, here to investigate the matter of the Eternal Song Association in the town, different from your purpose," Yserine replied indifferently, yawning as she spoke.
"All right, what do you want to do? Coming so early, are you going to check on my mother again? Or to buy so Miringbell Grass?"
She looked pale and skinny, with a very unhealthy complexion.
"Yes, the usual, here’s the advance paynt." At the ntion of the Eternal Song Association, Li Chengyi was montarily startled, but quickly acted as if it were nothing significant, taking out a thousand dollars in one go, the price for ten hours.
Yserine’s eyes lit up as she grabbed the money eagerly, counting it carefully.
"You can look around by yourselves, I’m stepping out for a bit."
With that, she hurried out the door.
Li Chengyi gave Chen Jiahan a look, and the latter quickly followed Yserine out the door.
Leaving Li Chengyi alone in the house.
"Yserine, are you sure there won’t be any problems?"
"No problem. For , as long as I’m careful, it won’t cause harm to anyone," Yserine answered with ease. "Just rember, brother, entering anyone’s consciousness will affect you, so you must be cautious."
"Mhm. Don’t worry," Li Chengyi nodded.
With no clues in reality, he was now sowhat looking forward to exploring Yserine’s consciousness.
The Blind Spot on the first floor of the house and the peculiar influence Yserine had on it could suggest that she was hiding sothing.
So, if he could delve into the aspect of consciousness, there was a high probability he could find sothing.
Soon, after circling the house, Chen Jiahan and Yserine returned one after the other.
Yserine was holding a large box in her arms, from which the scent of Miringbell Grass wafted faintly.
Clearly, she had used the money to buy soone else’s dried Miringbell Grass.
Upon entering the door, she rushed impatiently to her bedroom upstairs, and shortly afterward, wisps of Miringbell Grass smoke began to drift out and spread.
"She went to buy Miringbell Grass?" Li Chengyi asked Chen Jiahan.
"Yes. She didn’t go anywhere else, just bought so from Old John’s place in town, whose wife is the largest tobacco rchant on the island," Chen Jiahan replied.
He didn’t show any sign of irritation regarding these trivial matters, his patience a far cry from Hai Sha’s irritability.
"Good," Li Chengyi said, resting on the sofa for a while.
Then he confird that Yserine had indeed started smoking.
He then walked upstairs.
"Help close the door, don’t let anyone in."
Chen Jiahan bowed slightly and turned to guard the door.
He had no interest in what Li Chengyi was about to do, whether it was good or bad.
His daily task was to continuously train his body, taking full advantage of the Supre Martial Artist’s potential to break through limits.
The enhancent from the Floral Bead and the potential developnt of a Supre Martial Artist were making him stronger every mont.
Even though this strength was growing slowly, it was steady.
On the other side, Li Chengyi went upstairs.
From within the half-open door, white smoke kept seeping out.
The wooden floor made light creaking sounds under Li Chengyi’s footsteps.
His expression calm, he pushed open the door to Yserine’s room upstairs.
On the white bed inside, Yserine was lying on her side at the edge of the bed, wearing only a tube top and shorts, her skeletal figure exposed without any sense of beauty or allure.
She paid no attention to Li Chengyi entering the room, her entire focus on the smoking pipe in her hand.
Continuous streams of white smoke were exhaled from her nostrils without any signs of discomfort.
Instead, her expression conveyed warmth, happiness, and affection.
"Miss Yserine?" Li Chengyi tried calling out softly.
There was no response.
Obviously, the amount she smoked this ti was greater than before, and she was entirely imrsed in so kind of vivid hallucination.
"It seems there’s no problem now. Yserine?" Li Chengyi called out in his mind.
"Brother, you just need to go over and touch her skin with your hand," Yserine quickly replied.
"Are you sure there won’t be any side effects?" Li Chengyi asked again.
"There won’t be any, don’t worry. Brother, don’t you trust even Yserine?" Yserine countered.
"Okay then, let’s start."
Li Chengyi sensed an underlying tone in Yserine’s voice but trusted her. Even if she was hiding sothing, it wouldn’t be harmful to him.
Without delay, he approached and gently took hold of Yserine’s arm.
