From upstairs, Kurosaki Isshin descended quickly after hearing the commotion.

"Masaki, what's happening? Why is Captain Shiraha here with you? What happened to Ichigo?"

He froze when he saw his son unconscious on the floor, Masaki standing beside Shiraha. His voice carried both confusion and concern.

Masaki explained everything that had just transpired.

Isshin turned to Shiraha, bowing slightly. "Captain Shiraha… thank you. If you hadn't acted, the outco would have been disastrous."

Without Shiraha's intervention, Masaki—stripped of her Quincy powers—would have perished before Grand Fisher's claws.

"There's no need for thanks," Shiraha replied with a wave of his hand. "I'm the Shinigami stationed in Karakura Town. Eliminating Hollows is my duty."

Yet as his gaze lingered on Isshin, Shiraha's thoughts stirred. To the world, Kurosaki Isshin appeared an ordinary man, yet Shiraha knew the truth—this was Shiba Isshin, once captain of the Tenth Division.

"Captain Shiraha," Isshin said, his tone steady, "if you ever require my help, say the word."

"Very well, Kurosaki-san. Including before, that makes two favors you owe now. When the ti cos, don't think of shirking," Shiraha answered with a faint smile.

At present Isshin had not regained his Shinigami powers and could offer little assistance. But in the future, once his strength returned, these debts would matter greatly.

"Of course. You have my word," Isshin replied firmly.

"Then, since Masaki is ho safe, I'll take my leave."

With those words, Shiraha activated Cang and vanished into the air.

Masaki imdiately turned toward her husband. "Isshin, help Ichigo up. Are you just going to leave him lying on the floor?"

Isshin scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Ah, sorry, sorry, Masaki. I'll do it right away."

He stooped to gather Ichigo into his arms, muttering as he gave the boy a gentle flick on the forehead. "You brat… you almost got your mother killed today."

Masaki frowned. "Isshin, what are you mumbling about? Take him to his room already."

"Yes ma'am, yes ma'am!" Isshin replied quickly, the once-proud Tenth Division captain now a husband ruled by his wife's stern glare.

anwhile, Shiraha returned to the Urahara Shop, and for a ti the days passed in calm rhythm.

In the blink of an eye, six years flowed by.

News from the Soul Society reached him: Abarai Renji had transferred from the Eleventh Division to the Sixth and had risen to vice-captain. Kira Izuru, sowhat to Shiraha's surprise, had secured the Fourth Seat of the Seventh Division. Hinamori Momo, with quiet determination, earned the Sixth Seat of that sa division in the year Izuru moved up.

Rukia Kuchiki, however, remained a simple mber of the Thirteenth. Shiraha understood why. Byakuya Kuchiki had spoken with Jūshirō Ukitake, ensuring Rukia was never promoted. To grant her a seated officer's post would an sending her on combat missions, and Byakuya had vowed to his late wife Hisana to protect Rukia at all costs. Thus, she remained sheltered within the division.

In the underground training ground of Urahara Shop, Shiraha continued his relentless practice, pushing both Shunpo and Kidō beyond their limits. Yoruichi and Tsukabishi Tessai had long since reached the point where they could teach him nothing. Aside from teasing Yoruichi in her black cat form, Shiraha's ti was consud with endless drills.

His figure blurred in and out of sight across the cavernous space, unleashing Kidō of the highest order.

"Boom!"

Explosions shook the earth as the training ground buckled beneath the force of his spells. Buildings in the underground arena had been destroyed long ago; this was already the fifth such facility Urahara had constructed. The previous four had been obliterated by Shiraha's own Kidō.

Now he could cast instantly any spell ranked ninety-one and below, including the ninety-first itself.

Yoruichi, lounging in her feline form, watched from a distance, her golden eyes narrowing lazily.

Nearby, Jinta gawked in awe. "Did you see that, Ururu? Mr. Shiraha's amazing! I'll beco that strong one day too!"

Ignoring him, Shiraha raised a hand and began to chant. "Hadō number ninety-nine: Goryūtentsu."

A colossal azure dragon, hundreds of ters long, ford in his grasp, its body writhing with destructive energy—only to collapse into fragnts of Reishi before completion. Nᴇw ɴovel chaptᴇrs are published on novel✶fire

Shiraha exhaled slowly. "…Still a little beyond without a full chant." His mastery allowed him to reach for Kidō ninety-nine, but without reciting the complete incantation, the spell's burden was too great.

In a flash of Shunpo, he appeared before Yoruichi, reaching down as if to scoop her up. But before his hand touched fur, the communicator hidden in his robes flickered.

He slipped on the headset and pressed the switch. A voice from the Gotei ca through. "Captain Shiraha, by order of the Commander-General and Central 46, your ten-year stay in the Human World has ended. You may now return to the Soul Society."

"I understand. Thank you," Shiraha replied, ending the transmission.

Turning back, he smiled at Yoruichi. "Yoruichi-san, it's ti. I'm going back to the Soul Society."

Ten years had passed since his exile. Now his punishnt was complete.

Yoruichi lowered her head, masking the sadness that flickered in her eyes with practiced indifference. She had known he could not stay forever, but knowing did not soften the sting of parting. Ten years side by side left their mark, though she pretended otherwise.

"Mr. Shiraha, you're leaving?" Jinta asked, wide-eyed.

"Will you co back to see us?" Ururu asked softly.

"Don't worry," Shiraha said with a calm smile. "If ti allows, I'll return. Be sure to give my regards to Urahara."

He drew his blade, pressing its tip against the empty air. A shimr spread, space itself tearing open into a glowing Gate of Light. With a turn of his wrist, he sheathed the Zanpakutō again, and the portal widened, unveiling the path between worlds.

Without hesitation, Shiraha stepped into the corridor of light.
