A fractured rumble echoed from the massive crater below as Shiraha sheathed his cane-blade, the ground trembling in response. A colossal pit—over a thousand ters across and plunging several hundred ters deep—had been carved into the earth where Muguruma Kensei had fallen, the terrain around it pulverized and stripped bare under the crushing force of sixty-five tis gravity, leaving nothing behind but a barren, cracked wasteland.
Using Observation Haki, Shiraha confird Kensei's presence deep within the pit, now unconscious. His uniform hung in shreds from his body, barely concealing the wounds etched across his fra. The Hollow mask that had once distorted his face was shattered, his human features returned, blood streaming freely from nurous lacerations and seeping into the desolate soil.
With a slight wave of his hand, Shiraha lifted the gravitational suppression not just from Kensei, but also from Hirako Shinji and the other mbers of the Visored Legion, allowing the crushing pressure to finally dissipate from the area.
A chi rang out in his mind.
"Sign-in successful. Task complete."
"Reward: Fujitora Smile Template progress 2%."
"Fujitora Ichirō Template – 100% Completion."
Abilities unlocked: Observation Haki – Perfect Level. Armant Haki – Perfect Level. Swordsmanship – Master Level.
Exclusive Abilities: Gravity Control – Perfect Level (capable of manipulating seventy tis gravity within a 200,000-ter radius, gravitational enhancent of weapons, long-range teorite summoning by linking gravity with Observation Haki, with current control extending to teors up to 1,000 ters in diater), weightlessness manipulation, Gravity Blade: Tiger, Gravity Suppression, Gravity Light, Hell Brigade, Fire Ritual.
As Kensei's consciousness slipped away, Shiraha felt the surge ripple through his body. The system's prompt wasn't just ceremonial—it marked a genuine transformation. Every aspect of his abilities sharpened, but it was gravity manipulation that leapt most dramatically. While his control radius remained static at 200,000 ters, the force had jumped from sixty-five to seventy tis gravity, and his capacity to summon teorites had scaled up from 300 ters to an overwhelming kiloter in diater—an exponential boost born from a re 2% increase in template completion. The sheer magnitude of the upgrade surprised even him.
"At this level, I should be comparable to top-tier captains like Kuchiki Byakuya," he murmured, the words barely audible over the whisper of settling dust.
With Fujitora's template now at full power, Shiraha felt confident in comparing himself to high-level captains like Byakuya and Kana Tōsen. While soone like Ichimaru Gin might still hold an edge in speed and cunning, Shiraha's area-of-effect capabilities were on a completely different scale. If he summoned a teor from tens of thousands of kiloters above and simply let it drop without delicate control, the resulting impact would annihilate everything within a radius of tens—perhaps hundreds—of kiloters. However, even this catastrophic power had limits. Figures like Yamamoto Genryūsai or Aizen, beings who had already transcended the captain level, could likely intercept or destroy the teor before it reached ground level.
Still, with the first template completed, Shiraha had now unlocked the requirents for activating a second.
Just as he was about to trigger the next transformation, a familiar presence interrupted the silence. Hirako Shinji and the Visoreds approached from the rim of the crater, their spiritual pressure registering faintly through the still-humming remnants of the battlefield. Cautiously, Shiraha decided to delay opening the second template, unsure of what kind of change it might initiate or whether it would imdiately destabilize the current balance of power.
"Yo, Shiraha-kun. I've got to hand it to you," Shinji called out casually, a faint smirk tugging at his lips while his eyes held a deeper wariness. "You really steamrolled Kensai. What do you say? Should I step up as your next opponent?"
Despite his easy tone, Shiraha noticed the undercurrent of unease in Shinji's reiatsu. The Visored leader had watched the entire battle unfold. Muguruma Kensei, a battle-hardened captain strengthened by Hollowfication, had gone berserk—yet Shiraha defeated him without even drawing his Bankai. That detail hadn't gone unnoticed.
Shiraha answered with a calm, asured smile. "You're being too generous. Senior Liuche is formidable. Honestly, I was on the verge of losing. I've already seen the strength of your Visored Legion. There's no reason to continue testing each other."
That, of course, was only a half-truth.
During their clash, Shiraha had already asured Kensei's limits. Even with Bankai and Hollow amplification, Kensei fell short of captains like Byakuya or Komamura—who was widely considered among the weaker Gotei 13 commanders. At most, Kensei stood just above a vice-captain and slightly below an average captain. His reputation as a baseline power gauge wasn't undeserved; Muguruma Kensei really had beco a kind of combat unit of asurent.
By Shiraha's estimate, he had strength equivalent to at least a hundred "Kenseis." Once Kensei lost control to his Hollow, his power briefly spiked, but still didn't touch the threshold of a top-tier captain. Defeating him hadn't just been easy—it had been decisive.
Now that the mission was complete, there was no longer any need for more fighting.
From the crater, Lou Juro and Hachigen erged, carrying Kensei's unconscious body between them. The scene—mangled earth, broken stone, and silence—was testant to the overwhelming pressure Kensei had endured.
"Hachigen, take care of Kensei," Shinji said with a glance, his voice lower than before.
"Understood," Hachigen replied, bringing his hands together and channeling Kaidō as golden healing light began to nd the battered body before them.
The remaining Visoreds stared at Shiraha, their expressions a mixture of awe and disbelief. Had the captains of Soul Society always been this powerful? Or had they evolved into sothing new entirely?
From the side, Yoruichi appeared, having observed the battle in its entirety. She leapt lightly onto Shiraha's shoulder and looked at him with a playful but knowing gaze.
"You didn't use Bankai, did you?" she asked, her tone light, but her eyes sharp with certainty.
She had seen everything—every flicker of movent, every ripple of power—and there had been no release, no transformation. In fact, she suspected not even Shikai had been activated.
"Mm. You're right," Shiraha replied, offering no deflection or denial.
There was no point hiding it. Kisuke and Yoruichi could verify everything from Soul Society records if they wished.
Yoruichi tilted her head thoughtfully, the grin fading into sothing more contemplative. "Maybe... just maybe... you really could fight Aizen one day."
Her words struck a chord. The idea no longer sounded absurd to the others. In the stunned silence that followed, mbers of the Visored Legion exchanged wary glances.
"Well then, since it's over... shall we go back, Brother Shiraha?" Yoruichi offered, brushing invisible dust from her shoulder.
"Miss Yoruichi, you and the others go on ahead. That fight with Senior Liuche left with a few realizations. I'd like to reflect on them while they're still fresh," Shiraha answered, his gaze drifting back toward the shattered crater.
Yoruichi didn't press him. With a nod, she and the rest of the Visoreds departed, leaving Shiraha alone amid the wreckage.
The silence settled once more.
Closing his eyes, Shiraha extended his senses outward. Observation Haki confird that no spiritual signatures remained nearby.
Satisfied, he whispered under his breath.
"Open the second template."
Another chi rang out.
"Template extraction complete."
"Acquired Template: Gojo Satoru."
