As Kyouka was getting guided to get his sword, Renji had reached where he was living as a kid trying to find sothing that might trigger what he might have forgotten.
At that ti he stared at a vendor selling pottery. In the past, Renji and his friends held pots of water while running from a man, who says he will kill them before being tripped by a girl, who tells them where to go.
In the present, Renji recalls his past with that girl, from the day she helped them steal water to the day she was accepted into the Kuchiki Clan, but he cannot rember her face at all.
Looking at his hand, Renji shakes his head before leaving from there trying to find sothing else.
At the sa ti, the boy and girl phased through the mountain into Mayuri's lab. As they landed, the boy sets Rukia on the ground. As they run into the room with the large machine, the boy shakes his scythe prompting the girl to ask.
Girl: "Will the vial work???"
As the vial glowed, electricity crackles up the ropes connected to the machine making the girl jump from happiness as she stated they did it.
