Yang Qizhou realized that soone didn’t enter the dungeon. Wait—where’s Rabbit?

"Rabbit’s current Ga Character growth progress still makes clearing the ’Land of Prayer Light’ too difficult. So, I didn’t bring him along." Understanding the lamp holder’s confusion, the Secret Cultivator responded.

Perhaps intentionally, Yang Qizhou replied, "To be honest, your Ga Character’s growth progress also makes clearing the ’Land of Prayer Light’ pretty questionable."

"..."

Just that one sentence rendered the lamp holder silent—he didn’t bother engaging with Yang Qizhou for quite a while.

The ga continued.

"Under the guidance of the Secret Cultivator, you ventured forward. Her narration gradually revealed the basic details of the Land of Prayer Light to you."

"It was then that ’Twilight’ vanished—or rather, it was disappearing visibly fast. The edge of the Sky Do had already been claid by ’Night.’"

"Witnessing this shift, the Secret Cultivator’s expression hardened; she then disclosed a shocking secret to you. In the Land of Prayer Light, there are only three hours of twilight per day, while the remaining twenty-one hours are enveloped in night. But that’s not all. Whenever the night descends, countless terrifying monsters erge to harvest the lives of the living."

"You didn’t take her warning seriously, assuming the monsters she referred to were rely the ’Night’s Children.’"

...

Yang Qizhou was reading through so text updates when a voice suddenly rang in his ear, "Lamp Holder, how many ’Destiny Fire Bottles’ do you currently have?"

Not voice chat?

Yang Qizhou lifted his head slightly, with a hint of teasing in his tone. "Why are you here? Not afraid I’ll set you up?"

"Although voice chat works, it’s not instant enough. Being together is more convenient," the Secret Cultivator replied, sitting across from Yang Qizhou. "Do not underestimate the monster tides in the ’Land of Prayer Light.’ These are no re ’Dream Realm’s Children’; they are Unknown Evils—an amalgamation of various terrifying forces in the night. Even with the tools provided to by ’Corewell, Black Mist Sect Leader,’ I still have to die four or five tis to push through. You might need even more resources. If you don’t have enough ’Destiny Fire Bottles,’ I can lend you so."

"No need."

Thinking about the number of ’Destiny Fire Bottles’ in his inventory, Yang Qizhou waved it off.

The Secret Cultivator didn’t press further. She rely glanced at the lamp holder with a thoughtful gaze before returning her eyes to her ’phone.’

The ga went on.

"Twilight entirely faded, replaced by the pitch-black depths of night."

"One after another, monstrous creatures materialized on the land—a horrifying parade of nightmares. So had three heads and five claws; others looked like dwarfs. So were constructs pieced together from the skeletal remains of countless creatures, exuding symbolic energies of ’death,’ ’doomsday,’ ’calamity,’ ’oceans and water,’ and ’filth.’"

"Only then did you realize the horrors lurking in the Land of Prayer Light’s endless night weren’t ’Dream Realm’s Children.’ What ca for you was sothing far more twisted and terrifying."

"At this critical mont, the Secret Cultivator pulled out a black stone densely inscribed with enigmatic runes. Chanting unintelligible phrases, she conjured a consuming black mist that blended seamlessly into the ink-like darkness, suppressing her presence to its lowest level."

"This must be her thod for avoiding the night monsters. You reasoned silently."

"A roaming monster soon detected your presence. It bore three heads—one tiger, one wolf, and one snake—its flesh twisted grotesquely into sothing akin to a writhing mass of human arms. Symbols of ’filth’ and ’slaughter’ radiated from it as it rushed toward you."

"You deliberated montarily, then chose not to invoke the powers of the ’Dream Hidden World Clothes’ to conceal your existence. Instead, you smirked faintly and reached into your inventory for the ’Demon King Puppet,’ infused with the ’Battle Maid Core.’"

"’Wu,’ show your prowess, dear servant of mine."

"..."

"Without any discernible reaction, ’Wu’ glanced at you briefly before refocusing her attention on the encroaching twisted monster."

Yang Qizhou scratched the back of his head. That ’Wu’ was as aloof as ever.

The ga pressed on.

"Suddenly, ’Wu’ sprang into motion, conjuring twin short swords ford from concentrated Abyss Power. Like a dancer amidst death’s embrace, her icy slashes left shimring echoes in the dark. In re monts, she brushed past the monstrous entity. That instant seed to freeze ti itself. When reality resud its flow, the monster had vanished—reduced to re heaps of fragnted flesh littering the ground."

"The commotion attracted even more twisted creatures. So were lamb-like beings with five tentacles brimming with eyeballs, others bore abyssal, toothy maws spiraled like drills, emanating insatiable hunger and sluggish nace interwoven with energies of ’sleep’ and countless other symbolic forces."

"Without hesitation, ’Wu’ danced into their midst once more, executing them as gracefully as a death angel on a macabre stage. The ravenous horrors fell swiftly under her rciless blade."

"Despite the brief intervals, the surrounding monsters were utterly cleared out."

Slicing through hordes of enemies like chopping vegetables? It’s no wonder—’Wu,’ born from the fusion of two Quasi-legendary items, was truly a powerhouse. Forever the exceptional force.

Yang Qizhou felt exhilarated as he witnessed the carnage, a lightning flicker of amusent flashing in his gaze as he glanced toward the bewildered Secret Cultivator. Her shocked, incredulous expression made his grin widen.

Exactly.

The reason for deploying ’Wu’ went beyond testing the Battle Doll’s true capabilities. It held another, subtler intention—to send the Secret Cultivator an unspoken warning.

Do not provoke .

I am soone you absolutely cannot afford to ss with.

...

...

At that mont, the Secret Cultivator, riveted to her phone screen, felt utterly shaken. Her eyes betrayed a deep disbelief as she stared at the refreshed narrative updates.

"You activated the ’Black Mist Stone,’ suppressing your presence to its lowest point within the night."

"You cast a quick, worried glance at the Dark Crow of Profane Fortune beside you, wondering whether he had any ans to conceal his presence. If not, this could end terribly."

"Suddenly, you noticed the appearance of a black-maid-uniford figure standing silently by his side."

"You hadn’t even noticed when that maid figure had appeared."

"The black-uniford maid sprang into action, conjuring a long sword imbued with Abyss Evil Power, moving swiftly toward the twisted monster attacking the Dark Crow of Profane Fortune. You caught flickering shadows in the air, before the twisted monstrosity fragnted into piles of mangled flesh."

"The maid figure dived further into the tide of monsters, her Abyssal-powered sword slashing with dread efficiency as if wielding the Death God Scythe, instilling a harrowing chill—an unrelenting storm of death followed wherever she passed."

"And soon, the monsters in this vicinity were entirely wiped away."

"The black-maid-uniford figure returned to the side of the Dark Crow of Profane Fortune."

"You trembled, unable to suppress the chills running down your spine, stealing glances at the black-uniford maid while struggling to fathom how such terrifying support could be at the beck of the Dark Crow of Profane Fortune."

"A seed of doubt suddenly blood within you... Was seeking his help truly the right choice?"

Just as the Ga Character’s turmoil unfolded, the Secret Cultivator herself mirrored its loss of composure. She fixated on the text updates, occasionally casting heavy looks at the seemingly inconspicuous figure across from her clad in bargain-bin clothing.

These weren’t comparable to roadside chickens, ducks, or geese, nor those commonplace twisted creatures scattered across the remnants of the old land. This was the Land of Prayer Light—a cursed realm whose nightborn monsters individually possessed strength approaching Sect Leader levels. Her current Ga Character, even imbued with the Ancient Dominator’s blood and ard with Transcendent might, wasn’t a match for even one Prayer Monster.

Let alone massacring them like slicing fruit.

Deep down, she felt a chilling certainty that the true power of ’Wu’ far exceeded what this episode showcased. The enemies were simply too weak to fully reveal her ultimate terror.

All the petty sches simring within her dissipated like smoke.

"The Deceit Bureau was wrong. So was I. And I’m afraid the Hermit Association was equally mistaken. The lamp holder is far deadlier than anyone had anticipated."

...

...

Apart from the stunned Secret Cultivator, nine other players had also been rattled by ’Wu’s’ performance.

These players weren’t grouped together physically but communicated via voice chat. However, they shared a synchronized focus—their Ga Characters were all stationed in the Land of Prayer Light and were surreptitiously observing the Secret Cultivator’s progress.

Had Yang Qizhou’s Ga Character crossed paths with these players, he would have recognized three familiar faces among them—the siblings Li Congyun and company.

As the text updates detailing ’Wu’s’ slaughter of Prayer Monsters unfolded on their screens, these players were plunged into a shared state of deep shock.

"What... what is this? Given the current player progression, how could anyone possibly have such a horrifying ’follower’? Is this a BUG?"

"Attempting an interception after the Secret Cultivator obtains a Taboo Treasure—it’s outrageous. Had I known this task was so deranged, I’d never have accepted it."

"That player tead up with the Secret Cultivator—who are they? With him around, completing the mission becos impossible. Our Ga Characters wouldn’t last more than a few seconds."

Indeed.

All their Ga Characters had been assigned the sa quest: to track the Secret Cultivator, kill her upon finding the Taboo Treasure, and in accordance with the NPC’s promises, claim all relics save for one specific item while receiving generous additional rewards.

These seasoned players had joined forces with high hopes, confident this mission would be a cakewalk. Yet, they were blindsided—caught off guard by an utterly unexpected wildcard.

Suddenly, a voice broke the silence. "Everyone, we’re not entirely without chances. That ’maid figure’ may be terrifying, but her player isn’t necessarily as formidable. If we can co up with a way to kill him and prevent his imdiate resurrection, the ’maid figure’ will naturally disappear, leaving us free to focus all efforts on the Secret Cultivator."

It was Li Congyun speaking...
