"Shit! If I had known about this information beforehand, I wouldn’t have tried my luck converting these fanatics over to Zion’s side! Now those bastards are hunting down!"
Zaleena was currently on the run in the Land of Dragons. After winning multiple tournants and getting dragons to cheer for her, praise her, and even respect her, she decided to help her son out and start taking down the dragons from the inside.
However, she didn’t account for them to be so loyal to their god. No, not their god, their demigod.
All she did was ntion Luminera and how Zion thought it would be cool to unite the kingdoms. That sent the dragon she was talking to into a spiral.
At first, she wasn’t worried about what the dragon would do. Then, just a few hours later, she had the entire Dragon Military force on her ass.
"Circe," Zaleena mumbled. "The demigod apostle of Bahamut. She’s on a different level."
Zaleena recalled back to when she fled from the place she was staying to keep a low profile and make it past the borders. However, sohow, she felt sothing watching her.
Thinking it was just so dragon with the power to track people, she traced the mana back to the source, only to find Circe staring at her with a wide grin. The mont Zaleena locked eyes on her, an overwhelming sense of dread washed over her body.
She could move, could barely speak, and felt like her existence was being crushed. It was only thanks to her nanosuit, which automatically activated after noticing her vitals spike, that she was able to escape from being captured.
Finally, after putting a good distance between her and the dragons, she got a call from Zion.
"Mom! Get out of there now! Leave Hylaea now! Their divine apostle is a demigod! She’ll be able to sense the traces of holy power you have in your body! You need to leave, quickly!"
She smiled wryly, cold sweat dripping down her face as she continued to run and fly as fast as she could. "It’s too late, son, they’re already on my tail. I’m currently trying to escape, but they put the whole place on lockdown. I can’t even teleport out of here."
"Shit! I’m on my way, hang tight, I’ll get you out of there!"
’It’s nice to know that I have a reliable son. But fuck, this is going to be a tough fight." She gazed into the sky to see thousands of dragons waiting for her.
So were in their true forms, while most of them were in their humanoid state.
"Zaleena Zagan of the Holy Empire. Surrender now, and we’ll make your death painless." A dragon commander demanded
"Aw, but what if I like painful deaths? Will you deny that?" She asked, getting ready to fight.
The other dragons looked confused. "I-If you wish for a painful death, then we’ll give it to you. Although that is a weird request."
"Ha, I’m just ssing with you, I don’t want to die painfully." She laughed
"Tsk, then just say that!"
"Say what?"
"Fuck! Do you want a painful or painless death?! Hurry up and decide!" The dragon started losing his patience, and the other dragons were itching for a fight.
"Ummm, you choose! I’ll go with whatever you want."
The dragon revealed his claws out of anger, and his veins were bulging through his hand. "Painful death it is!"
Zaleena waved her hand. "But I want a painless one."
"YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" The dragon flew down to the ground in a huge burst of speed, his claws aid right at Zaleena’s throat
’Ha, amateur. I can’t believe he fell for that.’ Zaleena easily sidestepped, avoiding the dragon entirely.
Without looking behind her, she blasted the man right into his dragon’s heart, killing him instantly. Then, she used the explosion to propel herself into the air and launched a volley of swords made of holy power, all aid at the dragon’s heart.
’I have to destroy their hearts or they’ll just regenerate. This will be tough.’
On the plus side, she did manage to kill a few dragons this way. Unfortunately, there were still thousands of dragons in her path, and they all bombarded her.
"Screech!" She yelled
"I was hoping you would call upon !" Screech, Zaleena’s spirit, rged with her body, pushing her strength to its peak.
Together, with their combined might, they let out an ear-piercing war cry that stunned all the dragons around them. It wasn’t like dragon fear; it was simply a scream so loud that their eardrums had ruptured.
"Let’s go!" Zaleena flew through everyone in her path, only aiming at their hearts with each strike of hers.
So dragons fought back, but she countered them, striking their chest with her fingers and planting a small, unnoticeable magic circle on them.
More and more dragons sward her, but with the help of her spirit, she was able to fend them all, touching their chests, then snapping her fingers to make the magic circles explode.
She rose high into the air, summoning a massive magic circle above her head.
"Help out!" She said to screech.
The mana from nature started flooding her magic circle, causing it to grow bigger and bigger until it was the size of the sky above them.
"Suck on this you flying Lizards! [Holy Rain]" Millions of rays of light jolted through the air, finding their way to a dragon’s heart.
Hundreds of them were slaughtered, and many more were heavily injured. However, to counteract this, the dragons started transforming into their true forms to avoid the light beams.
"Dammit!" She cursed. Still, Zaleena had another spell up her sleeve, one that Zion managed to create after leaving the fracture.
Just as she was about to cast it, a massive claw slamd into her side, and she plumted to the ground.
"Agh, shit!" Zaleena didn’t have ti to understand what had happened to her. There were dozens of large talons making their way toward her, and she moved out of the way quickly.
"If you’re going to be so annoying, then I’ll take you all with !" She shouted with glee.
Her mana pulsed like crazy, shocking even the dragons as they felt imminent danger coming from Zaleena.
She avoided more and more attacks, casting her spell in the anti. The white mana then turned black, and its properties reversed.
’Zion said that the reason why negative mana is hard to absorb is that it clashed with positive mana. The only reason why we don’t die with the two manas co in contact is because we subconsciously push the negative mana out of our bodies by placing a layer of positive mana around it.’
A talon ca from above, but she dodged out of the way.
One dragon used his breath attack, but screech blocked it for Zaleena.
’So, he said that if I want to weaponize this process, then I should force mana to decay, turning it into negative mana, and then have that negative mana be released into the air where tons of positive mana is.’ Her spell was complete.
"Stop her!"
"Don’t let her cast that spell!"
"Take cover!"
"Hahaha! It’s too late! You’re all fucking dead!"
