"You little shit!" The queen growled in anger.

"Ughhh, mother, it hurts!" Lapis groaned in pain.

"Shhh, shhh. It’s okay. Mommy’s here. I’ll heal you." She healed his chest, nding his bones, which relieved Lapis instantly.

Zion kicked over his severed arm, which only made the queen’s anger rise even further, but she focused her energy on her son and healed his arm as well, reattaching it as if it had never been severed in the first place.

Once she finished, Lapis passed out from the pain and was taken to the infirmary by nearby guards.

"You! Apologize for what you did!" Gabele, Lapis’s mother, shouted.

"And if I don’t?" Zion asked, his face smug as he wasn’t taking her seriously.

"Are you really asking that? Do you know that I’m queen?!"

"Co-Queen, actually. And yeah, I do. But I honestly don’t care. If this was such a problem, then King Zircon would have stepped in, isn’t that right?" Zion asked, turning to Zircon with a smile.

"Hahahaha! Honestly, no one would dare do such a thing to my family, especially at my birthday celebration. But I can’t deny that I did enjoy this little show you put on."

"Zircon! Our son!" Gabele pleaded

"Shut up, woman! You have eyes, don’t you? Lapis was the one who started this fight, and he paid the price for it. He’s a grown man, and you shouldn’t baby him all the ti."Zircon brushed his wife off and conversed with Zion so more.

Angered, Gabele left the party and went to her son’s side to be there when he woke up. Another woman also left with her, presumably his wife.

"Zion, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you. How have you been? I heard that the holy city of light is a fully functioning city now, and business is booming! I have to pay a visit there soday." The king laughed, continuing his celebration.

"I’ve been good. Traveled to Alfheim and ran into so trouble there, but everything is good now. As for the holy city, I’m just glad I was able to liberate it and restore it to its forr glory." Zion didn’t mind making small talk with the king, especially since it would be the last ti he spoke to him.

The party went on. People laughed, drank, ate, danced, got drunk, and had a good ti. Zion even excused himself to the restroom for a bit so he could pound Lidia’s hungry pussy and releave himself since she was teasing him all night.

Eventually, the party was coming to an end, and Zircon made a toast.

"I want to take a mont to thank each and every one of you for being here tonight. You didn’t have to co, but you did. And that ans more to than I can ever truly express. Each year that I sit upon this throne, I ask myself a simple but heavy question: ’Am I truly the king our people deserve?’ And when I look out and see your faces—when I see the strength of our communities, the beauty of our land, and all we’ve built together, I find my answer. I am who I am because of you. I know that recent events, especially the attack involving the demons, have left many of you uneasy, perhaps even questioning your trust in . I understand that, and I don’t take it lightly. But I promise you this: I will never stop striving to be better. I will lead with all the strength and wisdom I can muster. I will continue to protect and guide Astir, not because it is my duty, but because it is my honor. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Now, please, celebrate, laugh, and enjoy the rest of the night. You’ve more than earned it."

The party died down, and now everyone was just relaxing and having their final conversations before leaving. But before that happened, it was ti to give the king his presents.

Noble after noble lined up, gifting the king with whatever they bought as a present. Jewelry, a sword, sword techniques, the latest and hottest fashion, samples of the best food on the market, with a coupon for free unlimited seating at the restaurant, and more.

"Ohhhh! It’s starting!" Zion said excitedly under his breath.

Lidia looked at him, slightly confused. "What’s starting?" She asked.

"The succession war. You see those two church mbers who are about to give the king his present?"

"Yeah." She nodded

"Well, they’re fake. Amber’s people are underneath those robes and face cloaks. They’re gonna strike when they get close enough. The only thing I want to know is how they plan on bypassing his defenses. The king isn’t weak at all."

"Imagine if they pulled out a demonic dagger or sothing." Lidia laughed at the sheer absurdity of her imagination. "That would be crazy."

"Congratulations, King Zircon. Please accept this gift on behalf of the Church of Arion." The bishop got on one knee and opened a box that held a dagger.

"No fucking way!" As soon as the box was opened, Zion could feel the energy coming off the dagger.

The second bishop attacked the king, catching him off guard, but he still managed to defend himself just in ti. But it was a diversion, to keep his eyes off the second bishop who grabbed the dagger and plunged it into the king’s chest.

"Lidia, did you see the future or sothing?" Zion wondered

"I don’t know. Maybe I did. But if so, why didn’t I see it?" She asked.

"Maybe because the future was too clear for your eyes to see," Zion concluded

"Yeah, that sounds about right."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

People fell into a frenzy. They panicked, scread, ran to the exits, and trampled over others to leave the scene. They had just seen the king get stabbed in the chest and assud they were next.

"Oh ho! Look at them go!" Zion laughed, eating a piece of bread as he watched everyone panic.

"So we just sit here and wait?" Zaleena asked.

"Do you have anything else to do?" Raven wondered.

"No."

"Then we sit here and wait."

"Husband!" Zircon’s wives all rushed to his side, one of them placing her hands over his chest to heal his wound while the other two, who were martial artists, stood around him so they could protect him.

Royal nurses also rushed to his aid and helped the Queen heal the king as they prepared to send him to the infirmary.

The two church mbers who attacked the king were swiftly beheaded by the King’s personal bodyguard and stood over him in case others ca to attack him.

"What...What’s going on?" Beryl wondered, confused out of his mind.
