"How is this possible?" Valindra asked, eyeing the nine primal spirits that flew around Zion’s body.

"Are you related to an elf sohow?" Syrune asked, desperate to find an answer to the current situation. "Maybe a grandparent or great-grandparent?"

"Not to my knowledge." He admitted. "Is it not normal for sothing like this to happen? Aren’t you Elves super into nature? To the point where you only eat salads?"

"We eat at, Zion! Animals are also a part of nature. It isn’t wrong for a lion to hunt a deer, so why would it be wrong for us to hunt a boar? Everything is nature, and nature can sotis be cruel."

"Fair enough. So why are all of these spirits attracted to ?"

"Well, spirits do like people with high amounts of mana, and I know you have tons of it, so that can be a factor. But even then, nine spirits answering your call as a first attempt is sothing unheard of."

Syrune also gave her opinion. "You, being a Divine Apostle, could also play a role. They probably sensed the higher level of power in your body and decided to check things out."

’So, using holy power did do sothing. Yay .’ He grinned internally.

"So, how do I make a contract with them?" He asked

"Allow for their mana to flow into your body and connect with it. Once the connection is established, the contract will be ford. Oh, but you have to have the corresponding elental affinity. If you don’t, then the connection won’t be established."

Suddenly, Syrune’s expression darkened, her face now full of sorrow and pity. "That’s so sad."

"Umm, what is?" Zion asked

"You’ve called upon nine spirits, but you’ll have to give up the majority of them. That’s unfortunate."

"Oh. That won’t be a problem." Extending his hand, Zion conjured every elent. Wind, Water, Earth, Fire, Lightning, Wood, tal, Light, and finally, Shadow.

"Wha...What?! How the hell?!" Syrune exclaid, her jaw hitting the ground as she witnessed sothing that was nearly impossible.

"Honestly. I want to be shocked, but at this point, I’m not." Valindra just shook her head in disbelief, accepting the reality of the situation.

"Okay, so, last question before I make the contract. How do primal spirits work? I know they are in their elentary stage and are the easiest to imprint your own influence on them if you make a contract with them at this current stage, so how does that work?"

"So, for starters, spirits grow in two ways. The first one is by themselves. This is the most common thod. The second way is to have them grow alongside their contractor. That thod is a bit more difficult, and there can be many bumps along the road." Valindra explained.

"What do you an by that?" Zion asked, looking around at the nine spirits circling his head.

Syrune took over explaining. "When a spirit evolves on their own, they’re exposed to the true nature of mana, becoming it and embracing it. They are also able to develop in the spirit world, where the resources would be better suited for their growth. But if you form a contract with a spirit that hasn’t fully evolved into a Nymph, then its evolution speed will greatly decrease since it would have to rely on your mana half of the ti, which is less dense, pure, and abundant in comparison to mana in nature."

"I see. So it’s like a parasite." Zion compared

"Sort of, but that’s not all. When you form a contract with a spirit, they usually have a will and mind of their own. This is why spirits co in all shapes and sizes. So when you make a contract with them, it’s hard to find one that can fully resonate with your personality and way of being. This is also why primal spirits are the best to form contracts with because they don’t have a will, consciousness, or intelligence, just instinct. Because of this, it’s easier to impart your own will onto the spirit, forming its will and appearance to what suits yourself, but it also takes the most work to nurture and grow."

Valindra chid in once more. "This is why even after 30 years, my spirit is still in its primal stage. It will probably take another twenty before it becos a pixie."

Zion smiled, now having everything he needed. "Thanks, I’ll start the contract process right away."

[I’ve also recorded this information into my database]

’Good work, Tessa. Oh, and how’s your body coming along?’

[50% completed. All the materials needed to build my body and have all the bells and whistles I wanted were there, but I needed to get a few more things as well as tweak so settings and upgrade my AI.]

’Aweso! Take as much ti as you need. Even when you reach 100 percent, go over everything once more and add or improve things so you can be perfect.’

[Oh, I plan to, don’t worry.]

’Great! I can’t see how you’ll look. Alright, let’s make a contract with these spirits.’

Zion closed his eyes and called upon the nine primal spirits, feeling their presence tug at his mana.

They responded in kind, releasing their mana, which promptly rged with his. Slowly, they were pulled by his mana, slowly but surely entering his body and resonating with his mana core.

As soon as they reached his core, the spirits burst into a fury of raw, uncontrolled mana. This wasn’t a bad thing; rather, it was great. Never before had these spirits felt soone with a high concentration of mana, so when they started to rge with his core, they inadvertently beca a part of his mana thod and gained all of its benefits.

"Woah!" The girls claid.

"I’ve never seen anything like this before."

Syrune nodded. "Neither have I."

Zion continued to draw them in, feeling the connection with nine primal spirits who danced with glee as they were able to form a contract with such a worthy host.

As Zion felt their presence gradually engrave onto his core, the sign that the contract was being ford, an idea popped into his head.

’This is either a good idea, or I’ll probably die trying to be cool.’
