Morison bought a massive amount of fireworks and was waiting to set them off the next evening, even requiring twenty or so pirates with carts to bring them back.
"I want to play, I want to play!"
Fafna, with the heart of a child, naturally wrapped so dumplings but quickly lost interest, chirping in delight as she looked at the wooden crates on the ground.
"Watch this, this is how you set off fireworks."
Morison picked up a firework tube, using it like a gun. Instead of aiming at the sky, he shot it directly at a street lamp. The snow exploded slightly, bursting into a dazzling light that scattered vibrant colors on the lamp. Since there was no lead-ti, the explosion wasn’t big but left a large black mark under the lamp.
The neighbors were all startled.
"Oh... it does look better in the sky."
Fafna beca interested in all the weapons on Morison, her eyes twinkling with stars.
After the battle with Grim, all the weapons on Morison were scrapped, but since they were just junk, he had backup weapons like the butterfly knife and whip blade and was fully re-ard, carrying a suitcase.
"I want to play that!"
Fafna pointed at the suitcase, having heard yesterday that it was very aweso.
"Play, you can play with everything."
Morison opened the suitcase directly, took off the Arm Armor without worry that she might cut her fingers. Morison had high hopes for Fafna—after defeating Zahak and killing Marcus, and with more people to co, you better not ss up.
Fafna put on the Arm Armor, activated the gears, and it buzzed ominously, looking like it was going to slice imdiately.
"Cough, let’s put that away."
Caroso coughed twice. It was okay for Weber to handle it, at least his thought process was still within the range of normal people. If this disfigured face took over, he might beco a psycho, who knows, maybe soon he’d take Fafna to test the blade on soone.
They prepared fireworks that could turn the New Year’s Eve upside down.
Morison also bought several sets of board gas.
He went back upstairs and ate a piece of fruit.
"Mm, satiety plus 5 points, SAN value restored by 10 points, can be exchanged for half a loaf of black bread."
Morison comnted.
"Don’t randomly assign yourself a backstory!"
Rein felt a serious sense of crisis. Brother Sha was very ambitious, still improving himself even though he was already monstrous. Now Brother Hai seed to be getting serious too; this couldn’t go on!
"Oh, the place selling fireworks also sells so poker cards and board gas; it’s an apocalyptic wasteland role-playing ga. Necromancers have turned the entire Western Continent into ghouls; one must collect resources to deal with the zombie tide."
Morison calmly said.
Fen felt utterly baffled. Damn it all, ghouls everywhere, what kind of board ga was this, with such an absurd setting?
Since they had entered the Age of Great Sailing, with the developnt of Magic Energy Industry, the dinsions of entertainnt had also been enhanced. Besides gambling on cards, there naturally were many other board gas.
Fen had Morison bring it over to take a look. It did not feel right; it was a new type of board ga he had never heard of—neither chess nor Magic Beast Card; what on earth was the gaplay?
Magic Beast Card was invented by a legend at the adventurer’s guild, similar to Hearthstone and Total Dumbass, roommate talkers like Tanos.
Morison handed Fen the box, startling him with the included manual, which required a host to explain the background story and used dice rolls to determine developnts in a role-playing ga featuring lots of risqué content; ghoul illustrations were all scantily clad busty girls—where did all these busty ghoul girls co from, damn it!
The manual also listed the manufacturer, originally one adventure group from Lostra, later registered as a card ga company in their country, exporting to the Western Continent from Lostra.
Fen was exasperated; if soone in the Golden Waters of the Narrow Sea looted a ship full of these, that would be a total loss.
"Two years later, see you at Sabaody Archipelago!"
Rein declared profoundly, realizing they had to improve!
"Where the heck is Sabaody Archipelago?! Why wait so long?!"
Weber had never heard of this place.
"Shadi said, Sabaody won’t work, it’s already Ni Ge’s fruit."
Shadi realized he must level up too.
"Then let’s head to Magic High School!"
"It’s turned into a clown college already, geez!"
"Really? Sorry, actually I’m not from the highlands, I co from Soul Society, ’Bankai!’"
Rein ripped off the curtain, his Arm Armor already equipped, scimitar in hand, "Mirror Flower, Water Moon! Admiration... is the furthest distance from understanding."
"I don’t understand, what’s the connection?"
Fen couldn’t hold back anymore, as rabies worsened with the New Year,
"When did you start having the illusion of no connection? You’re already under the control of ’Mirror Flower, Water Moon.’"
Rein dismissed Fen’s words.
"Sorry, I didn’t let Lord Rein exert his full strength."
Shadi was about to gel his hair, preparing to activate his Super Saiyan form, when his gaze strayed out the window.
The tanned innkeeper and the black-haired bartender were at his door again, looking for him.
"Just say I’m not here when they ask, or say I died in the Western Continent."
Shadi hurriedly went down and slipped out the back door.
"Aren’t there supposed to be lucky phrases?"
Morison was examining a card ga; longer travel ti ant sothing to occupy himself, planning to check out the New Continent on the 15th as per Liszt’s suggestion, and settle the shareholding system by the end of the month, as well as establish a trading company.
Lu, due to her tiny stature, always lacked presence. Since witnessing that scene the night before last, she felt tainted.
Sister redith had actually done that with Liszt.
Goria, after seeing last night how these grown-ups handled children, realized she couldn’t mingle idly in the castle anymore. Well, she could mingle, but she’d have to reform Fafna first, otherwise, sooner or later, she’d turn into a werewolf or soone disfigured.
Lu’s heart tightened; should she tell her?
"Where’s Fafna?"
Goria asked Lu, not really familiar with this pocket-sized elf, probably just one of redith’s friends.
"On the rooftop, setting off fireworks."
Lu responded.
"Alright."
Goria went up the stairs, and Lu followed.
Fen watched Goria ascend thoughtfully; now that she had settled in Heaven Port, it seed she wouldn’t betray them, an agreent reached with Caroso.
Everything was going smoothly so far; to stand against the Magic Energy Industrial Committee and the Tower Master in the Eleven People Pavilion, they needed imnse capital.
Once they officially took over Heaven Port, Fen decided to set up... a new! Tower Alliance!
Research into Magic Techniques was extrely expensive, requiring a steady stream of rare Magic Beast materials and ores. Furthermore, spells required special items with strong resentnt as diums, which were the hardest to procure.
You can’t expect to buy various research equipnt on the market, and had to do it yourself, costing a fortune.
If the core system were divided, Fen getting four to five thousand Golden Dragons was a lot, but it wouldn’t last if squandered. To complete the greatest Magic Technique, it would indeed require the most terrifying financial power.
Looking at the rabid disease inside and the lively atmosphere outside, Fen rarely showed a slight smile, having turned pirate for the beginning of his seventh year.
It should end soon, and quickly, he would return to the uppermost stream of power.
His gaze then turned cold, seemingly sneering.
