Chapter 27: Chapter 26 Talent Chapter 27: Chapter 26 Talent The Second-in-command casually pulled out a bottle of “Indecent Immovable” from his sleeve, raised it high, and showed off to everyone:

“This dicine wasn’t easy to co by, and we’ll continue to use it on your master next ti!”

“Hand it over to ! To save you from harming others in the future!”

Li Ping’an snatched it from the Second-in-command’s hand with his free hand, but he was wondering, according to the Second-in-command’s description of the drug, Zixia clearly hadn’t drunk it nor had she bathed in water mixed with “Indecent Immovable,” so how could she have been affected?

Only then did Li Ping’an suddenly rember that when Zixia fanned him earlier, her palm was wet, which indicated that Zixia had been exposed to the drug while testing the water with her hand!

At this mont, the sound of his teeth grinding was audibly clear; he continued to suppress the naless raging fury within him and asked word by word:

“Second-in-command! I! Ask! You! Where! Is! The! Antidote!”

“Hahaha! The antidote?”

The Second-in-command swept his hand across everyone and shalessly said:

“Gang Leader, are you really that naive or just pretending? Isn’t the antidote right here with us?”

“Us? What exactly do you an?”

Li Ping’an was on the verge of exploding, his eyes red, veins throbbing, and his body began to tremble violently.

Although the Third-in-command, the Blind Man, couldn’t see well, he too could sense the boundless fury about to erupt from Li Ping’an and hurriedly explained:

“Gang Leader, the antidote is a man. If soone affected by ‘Indecent Immovable’ doesn’t engage in that sort of deed with a man when the drug’s effects flare up, your master probably won’t withstand the violent nature of the drug. She could suffer reversed blood flow and disrupted ridians, and, worst case, she might beco paralyzed…”

“Hahaha, why panic? Aren’t we right here? Co on, beauty!”

The brazen Second-in-command, who had only been thinking about hurriedly engaging with Zixia in that sort of deed, had not yet felt the full brunt of Li Ping’an’s anger and was actually about to reach out to embrace her.

“Dare to touch my woman? Go to hell!”

Unable to contain himself anymore, Li Ping’an kicked the Second-in-command in the stomach, sending him flying three ters away, then carried Zixia and ran toward her room.

“Second-in-command, you just wait! See how I’ll deal with you tomorrow! Third-in-command, have your n watch Cen Zhen and Cen Changqing; don’t let them escape! Or I’ll hold you accountable!”

“Damn it, selfishness again!”

The resentful Second-in-command was helped up by the Third-in-command and others:

“With a belly full of anger, since I can’t have Zixia, can’t I still have my way with the wife and daughter of Cen Zhen and Cen Changqing? Let’s go!”

Having returned to Zixia’s room, Li Ping’an carefully laid her on the bed, then bolted the door shut and repeatedly apologized to the unconscious Zixia:

“Master, I’m sorry, who could have thought these bandits could be so shaless! They’re nothing but a bunch of despicable scoundrels. I was still a step too late…”

As Li Ping’an apologized, looking at the motionless Zixia, so beautiful one could consu her, he rembered that night in the rundown temple on the barren mountain, when Zixia had stripped off her clothes, wearing only a breast cloth, seducing him.

“Master, I…”

Li Ping’an licked his lips, rubbed his hands together, and approached Zixia. The more he looked at her quietly lying there, the more he liked her. He kept saying sorry with his mouth, but his body was very honest, irresistibly swooping down for a kiss.

This kiss was crucial. Li Ping’an felt as if his entire body was ignited. Having never touched a woman before, at this mont, he finally understood how fragrant a woman’s lips could be.

The fragrance of the body, lips, and tongue was each unique, with myriad flavors and an endlessly lingering taste.

At this mont, alone with a woman, a spark set to tinder, in the privacy of a room, he found his hands involuntarily reaching to undo Zixia’s clothes after their lips had parted.

“No!”

With a slap, Li Ping’an struck his own face, madly shaking his head and muttering to himself:

“Although I, Li Ping’an, am lecherous, despicable, and shaless, I am also a budding flower who has received nine years of compulsory education; I cannot take advantage of soone in peril—that would make no different from these bandits!”

During their brief ti together, Li Ping’an had indeed grown fond of his master who was outwardly aloof and haughty but inwardly passionate and kind-hearted, yet he couldn’t bring himself to sleep with the person he liked while she was unconscious.

If he did, that would be a problem of character!

One may act lecherous, despicable, and shaless, but one’s character must have a bottom line!

This was the principle and bottom line by which Li Ping’an lived and acted!

After an intense internal struggle, reason ultimately overca physical desire. He decided to pour Zixia a cup of hot tea, hoping she would wake up soon and think of a way to rid herself of the “Lewdness Immovable” poison.

But just as he turned to pour the hot tea for Zixia, he felt his back brush against sothing soft, followed by a warm, sowhat sticky body wrapping around him.

“Hm?”

As he turned his head, he saw Zixia with seductive eyes and a flush like peach blossoms looking at him with longing and flattery.

“Master… you’re awake…”

“Shh!”

Zixia caught Li Ping’an’s shoulders, turned him around, pressed her finger to his lips with shyness that blossod like a coy flower, and, as captivating as a waning moon, she rushed to say:

“Don’t speak, just hold tight!”

“Master… you’ve been poisoned with ‘Lewdness Immovable’… Perhaps we should think of a way to detoxify first… We can discuss this… another ti…”

Li Ping’an didn’t finish his sentence when Zixia knocked him over so they could collapse together, not for anything but to recite poetry and admire the moonlight.

The bright moonlight shone down as fireflies ca from all around, and butterflies fluttered back and forth. On this night, dreamlike and illusory, real yet unreal, Li Ping’an and Zixia seed to be in a dream, turning into poets from all ages. The two of them leaned on the rail by the window to recite poetry, competing in a duel of wit.

As the saying goes, one’s lowly attire might wrap their life, but the essence and elegance from having poetry and literature within oneself are undiminished. If one’s belly did not have a bit of ink, how would they dare to engage in a contest of verses?

Such a poetry competition, comparable to the monthly appraisals during the Three Kingdoms period, saw Li Ping’an with ample talent, while Zixia was well-versed in the classics. Their poetic achievents matched each other closely, and as they t, they felt an instance of mutual regret for not having t sooner, becoming as close as Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi, unknowingly enacting endless rounds of soaring debates and watered encounters, like Boya eting Ziqi, as Liu Bei swore brotherhood.

Only when the two grew weary and stopped their poetic duel did they rest.

Deep into the night, under the dense moonlight, in the room of Cen Zhen and Cen Changqing.

Surprisingly, Cen Zhen and Cen Changqing did not sleep in the sa room with his wife, but chose to stay with Protector Wang.

“Master, the Gang Leader of the Axe Guild, Supre Treasure, who is also that Li Ping’an, and his master seem to have grown suspicious of us. During breakfast, they kept glancing our way intentionally and unintentionally…”

Kneeling before Cen Zhen Changqing, Protector Wang expressed his concern.

“What’s there to panic about? These rabble from Wuxing Mountain are nothing but fools, a disorganized crowd at best. As for Li Ping’an and Zixia, they’re just a couple of greenhorns still wet behind the ears!”

Seated on the bed, Cen Zhen Changqing turned his head, glowering in the direction of Li Ping’an’s room:

“These greenhorns play tricks in cahoots with those idiots, claiming there are six Demon Monsters on Five Fingers Peak! Damn it all, they’re delaying my journey to the capital!”
