Chapter 399: SFDI: Chapter 399

"What exactly did you do to Arthur?"

Drake was continuing his research on this day when rlin’s voice suddenly rang out from behind, really startling Drake.

Drake put down the tools in his hand, turning around, saying, "Although you don’t have a body right now, you shouldn’t just enter other people’s workshops like this!"

rlin’s tone didn’t have the aning of questioning, but instead had a feeling of amazent and admiration, so Drake suppressed the urge to take action.

rlin’s phantom curled its lips, saying, "It’s really amazing, Arthur has completely changed in just two days, how did you do it?"

Drake smiled mysteriously, Arthur hadn’t disappointed Drake, and had successfully passed the first stage of intensive training.

Arthur was undoubtedly a very outstanding young man, possessing the strength of a top-level Holy Knight at a young age, with a gentle and humble personality, able to gain the trust of others.

But as a king, his personality had so shortcomings, which was that he wasn’t domineering enough. To put it bluntly, he lacked the confidence of a strong person.

This was understandable; the first opponent this kid had faced after his debut was Hendrickson, who had been demonized, and then he had faced powerful enemies such as Albion and Galand, whose strength far exceeded his own.

Even those around him were existences like the Seven Deadly Sins; Arthur wasn’t the kind of hot-blooded idiot protagonist who would only think about how to surpass the strong when he saw them, and had ultimately fallen into confusion.

Once you began to question your past efforts, question your current strength and future achievents, it was difficult to make yourself stronger.

Drake couldn’t correct his weak personality, but Drake believed that the strength of the human heart was enough to create miracles.

The strongest thing in Arthur’s heart was his will to protect his people, to protect all those who trusted him.

This was also the resolution that Drake had talked about with Arthur, artificially creating a desperate situation for Arthur, Drake had finally stimulated Arthur to strengthen his resolution.

With that kind of resolution, Arthur had overco his confusion as a matter of course, and had beco stronger than ever before.

Even rlin, who had returned with liodas after he had retrieved his power, had a feeling of being from another world when she saw Arthur again.

Not to ntion rlin, even Drake, who had been watching from the sidelines, was sowhat surprised by Arthur’s growth.

After solving the personality problem, Arthur’s magic power had beco active as if it had been unsealed.

Even without the magic eye that asured power level, Drake could feel Arthur’s power level constantly increasing.

However, Drake felt that rlin didn’t care about these things, it was enough for her to see Arthur’s growth.

So Drake changed the subject, saying, "Since you’re back, then it seems that the Captain was successful this ti."

rlin nodded, saying, "liodas has successfully retrieved his power, and we’ve also t up with Ban, now we can begin our actions against the Ten Commandnts."

Drake turned his head to look at the Commandnt of Truth on the table, saying, "That’s perfect, I’m still lacking research materials!"

rlin also glanced at the Commandnt that had been sealed in the magic tools, saying, "You’ve also been researching it for a while, have you gained anything?"

Drake was stunned for a mont, and then nodded, saying, "I have gained sothing, as expected of the Demon King’s power, it’s really an eye-opener."

After researching the Commandnt, all Drake wanted to do was lant that Galand, that reckless man, had completely wasted the power of the Commandnt.

The essence of the Commandnts was the Demon King’s curse, a curse launched at targets that t the conditions through the Ten Commandnts as a dium.

But this curse was a part of the Demon King’s power after all, and its application thods were definitely not just passively waiting for the Commandnt to be activated like Galand had done.

Even among the Ten Commandnts, there weren’t many people who actively used the power of the Commandnts.

It was estimated that the Ten Commandnts themselves were also clear that the Commandnts weren’t just a gift from the Demon King, but also a curse.

But the Commandnts were also the power that the Demon King had divided in order to win the Holy War after all, and although it was a double-edged sword, it was still a powerful weapon.

So what Drake was talking about actively using wasn’t like Grayroad’s thod of inducing others to violate the Commandnts, but using the essence of the Commandnts’ power.

For example, the Commandnt of Truth, its ability was a curse against falsehood in terms of rules, and it could completely be used to break illusions or clone-type moves.

In the original story, after Estarossa, who had obtained three Commandnts, had gone berserk, he had displayed the true power of the Commandnts.

He had suppressed two mbers of the Seven Deadly Sins, one mber of the Ten Commandnts, and two of the Four Archangels all by himself.

And by researching the Commandnts, Drake had also sowhat glimpsed the truth of the Demon King.

But unfortunately, there was only one sample, the Commandnt of Truth, and what he had obtained was limited after all.

So Drake was thinking about whether he should get a few more Commandnts, when liodas and the others returned, and the operation to exterminate the Ten Commandnts was about to begin.

After packing up, Drake followed rlin out of the workshop, arriving at a conference hall.

The mbers of the Seven Deadly Sins and Arthur had long been sitting at the conference table, just waiting for Drake and rlin.

Drake sat down in the empty seat left for him, saying, "Sorry to keep you waiting, where has the eting gotten to?"

liodas pushed sothing that looked like a flyer before him, saying, "We were just starting, take a look at this first!

We picked this up on the way back, it was spread by a Blue Demon. It’s estimated that it’s not just us, this thing has been spread throughout Britannia."

Drake nodded, unlike the Red Demons and Gray Demons, the Blue Demons had bird heads and human bodies, and also possessed the ability to fly.

Having them distribute it was enough to send anything to the entire Britannia in a short ti.

And the Blue Demons were considered middle-level mbers in the Demon Clan, and only the Ten Commandnts could order them to do sothing like delivering letters.

Drake looked at the flyer in his hand, and as expected, it was what Drake had thought it would be.

Earlier, the Boar Hat had visited the rchant city of Vaizel, and had participated in the fighting festival there.

And the content on the flyer was related to this, it said that Vaizel would be holding a "Grand Fighting Festival," inviting everyone to participate.

And the one who achieved the final victory would obtain the right to have one wish granted.

Drake said, "So the Ten Commandnts are holding a martial arts tournant, and the purpose is unknown."

In the original story, the Grand Fighting Festival had been held by Gloxinia and Drole for entertainnt.

But this ti, it might not be the case. Drake had defeated Galand earlier and taken away his Commandnt, but Galand had successfully escaped back.

Drake wasn’t sure what kind of reaction the Ten Commandnts would have after learning about this, but thinking about it, they wouldn’t treat it as if nothing had happened.

liodas had also thought of this, saying, "That’s right, we didn’t find any traces of other Ten Commandnts acting along the way, they must be planning sothing.

This Grand Fighting Festival is likely a trap they’ve set."

Drake said, "Then how should we respond, should we act as if nothing has happened?"

liodas smiled, slapping the flyer, saying, "No! It’s rare to have caught their tail, we’re going to smash their trap!"
