Chapter 368: SFDI: Chapter 368

"In the ancient past, on this land known as Britannia, there existed five distinct races.

Legend has it that three thousand years ago, the Goddess Clan led the Fairy Clan, the Giant Clan, and humanity in a campaign to subjugate the Demon Clan, who possessed the ominous power of destruction.

Combining the strength of the four races, they ultimately sealed the Demon Clan, restoring peace to the land. This war was later known as the Holy War.

Three thousand years have passed since the end of the Holy War, and now it is an era where humans and other races coexist. The Holy Knights, who protect the kingdom, possess extraordinary magical power, and are therefore revered.

However, among the Holy Knights, there erged traitors who turned against all the Holy Knights. They are known as the Seven Deadly Sins!"

"I understand the explanation, but why are you speaking in such a strange tone, Drake?" Stella interrupted.

Drake cleared his throat, saying, "Don’t worry about such trivial matters; I’m trying to introduce you to this world!"

Stella chuckled at her occasionally childish boyfriend, saying, "Alright, alright, I’m listening."

Drake’s expression beca serious as he said, "Don’t underestimate this world. There are many dangerous existences here for us.

The Fairy Clan, the Giant Clan, and humanity are fine; aside from a few strong individuals, the power of the others isn’t much of a threat.

But the Demon Clan and the Goddess Clan, those two races with the na of gods... the power they wield is definitely sothing to be wary of."

Drake hadn’t expected to arrive in this world, the world where seven individuals bearing original sin were the protagonists.

Drake couldn’t help but be glad that he had fard experience and skills from Ignia before coming to this world; otherwise, he wouldn’t have had the confidence to stay here.

For the enhanced Drake, there were only a handful of individuals in this world who posed a threat.

First and foremost were the leaders of the Demon Clan and the Goddess Clan, the first two beings in this world, the Demon King and the Supre Deity, born from chaos.

In this world, they could be considered the highest-ranking deities. However, their true forms resided in the Celestial Realm and Purgatory, unable to cross the barrier separating them from Britannia.

Only a portion of their power descending wasn’t sothing that warranted Drake’s caution.

As for the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan and the Ten Commandnts of the Demon Clan, the only things about them that were worth Drake’s attention were the Graces and Commandnts bestowed upon them by the Supre Deity and the Demon King.

Moreover, upon arriving in this world, Drake had learned that the king of the Kingdom of Liones was seriously ill, and that all affairs of the kingdom were being handled by the Holy Knights.

It seed that he had arrived just as the story was beginning. The Goddess Clan was still entirely in the Celestial Realm, and the Demon Clan was sealed within the Coffin of Eternal Darkness.

In other words, the only people worth Drake’s attention right now were two and a half existences among the Seven Deadly Sins.

One of them was, of course, Escanor, the Lion’s Sin of Pride. Escanor at noon was fully worthy of the title "The One Who Stands Above All." In his state of burning life, he could even defeat the fully resurrected Demon King.

To be honest, even though Drake was immune to fire-attribute magic, he couldn’t predict what would happen if he actually fought a life-burning Escanor.

However, Drake thought that he wouldn’t do anything to provoke Escanor into fighting him to the death, so that worst-case scenario was unlikely to occur.

The other person Drake was wary of was rlin, who possessed the magic power "Infinity."

Although rlin might not be in the top tier in terms of raw power, what made her so dangerous was her knowledge and wisdom accumulated over thousands of years.

Combined with her cheat-like magic power, Drake was afraid that she would use so thod to sche against him.

After all, rlin was the one who had been driving the entire plot from behind the scenes. Even the Demon King was a target of her sches, and in the end, she had succeeded.

As for the "half" person, that was the protagonist of this world, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, liodas.

The reason he was only half a person was that he only had a sliver of his original power left.

As the forr leader of the Ten Commandnts and the Demon King’s eldest son, liodas naturally possessed incredible power.

Unfortunately, after three thousand years of wandering, his power had decreased rather than increased, and most of his power had been sealed by rlin, resulting in him being only slightly stronger than a human Holy Knight.

If he couldn’t still unleash the power of the Demon Clan, he wouldn’t even qualify as half a person.

But for Drake, the danger of this world was secondary; what was most important was what he could gain.

The magic power in this world was very special; it was essentially the sa as magic in other worlds. But the magic power in the Seven Deadly Sins world was even more mysterious, because it was an existence akin to rules.

For example, rlin’s "Infinity" allowed her to make her spells last forever, even freezing ti indefinitely.

This completely challenged everything Drake knew about the principles of magic and magic power; even magic had to make so sense, right?

Drake also wanted to try and acquire his own "magic power" in this world. It seed that liodas’ Full Counter had been learned through study.

Of course, that was only a secondary goal; what Drake really wanted to study were the Demon King and the Supre Deity, who stood at the pinnacle of darkness and light, respectively.

As for the reason, it was the curse borne by liodas and the female lead, Elizabeth. Eternal life and endless reincarnation.

liodas would never die, and would be resurrected even after death, but his body would never grow. Moreover, with each resurrection, liodas would lose a portion of his emotions, eventually reverting to his ruthless self from three thousand years ago.

Elizabeth, on the other hand, would constantly reincarnate over the course of three thousand years, losing her mories each ti, but would regain them upon falling in love with liodas, and would then face certain death three days later, only to reincarnate again.

Curses, even in Drake’s eyes, were very mysterious. According to Drake’s speculation, these fate-like curses were essentially embedding a certain fact into the rules of the world.

The reason Drake was studying this was that similar curses existed in the Fairy Tail world.

The Ankhseram Black Magic, whose true form no one had ever seen; the only proof of its existence was the "Contradictory Curse" on Zeref and Mavis.

Drake suspected that if he succeeded in resurrecting Igneel, he might also attract the Ankhseram Black Magic.

Even if it was just preparing for the worst, Drake had to study how to break curses.

At least compared to Ankhseram, who might be the will of the world, there was a way to contact the Demon King and the Supre Deity, and learn about curses from them.

Of course, liodas and Elizabeth, who bore the curse, were also samples that could be observed.

But at this point in ti, Drake had no way to contact the Demon King or the Supre Deity.

However, there was sothing that Drake could contact right now, and that was sothing that was even higher than the Demon King and the Supre Deity.

The existence that had birthed everything in this world, including the Demon King and the Supre Deity: Chaos. It was the creator god of this world, possessing the power to create everything.

The most important thing was that it had been sealed by the Demon King and the Supre Deity, and had beco a collection of energy without consciousness. And the one known as the Mother of Chaos should be on this land right now.

So, as long as he was cautious during his research, its danger level wouldn’t be too high.

So, when Stella asked about their plans, Drake said without hesitation, "Next, we’re going to find a tavern called the Boar Hat."
