Five figures burst through the villa’s roof; with Angel already present, all six mbers of Oracion Seis were assembled.
"So useless, Angel, to be discovered," sneered the man with a python wrapped around his body.
Angel retorted resentfully, "Shut up!"
The dark-skinned leader, at the forefront of the group, tapped the ground with his skull-headed staff. "Enough! We’re facing so formidable opponents here; now is not the ti for internal squabbling. It seems the guilds sent more than just cannon fodder this ti."
Hibiki addressed the assembled group. "That’s Brain, the leader of Oracion Seis, and our primary target for this operation!"
Natsu’s excitent surged, and he imdiately charged forward, fists ablaze with magical flas.
"I’ll claim the leader’s head!"
The man with the python swiftly intercepted Natsu’s attack, his palm enveloped in a purple mist that effortlessly deflected Natsu’s fiery fist.
"You can’t just take down our leader that easily!"
"Damn it!" Natsu’s fist having been blocked, he perford a backflip, pivoting his body and launching a powerful kick.
However, the man anticipated Natsu’s Fire Dragon’s Hook Claw, effortlessly evading the attack. The python coiled around his body then shot out, narrowly missing Natsu’s face.
"I can hear... all of your thoughts," the man stated, a smug grin spreading across his face.
Cobra, a second-generation Dragon Slayer just like Laxus, had a poison Dragon Slayer lacrima embedded within his body; he was a Poison Dragon Slayer.
In addition to his mastery of Dragon Slayer magic, Cobra possessed a unique ability: his hearing was exceptionally acute, allowing him to perceive the subtle sounds of his opponent’s footsteps, breathing, heartbeat, and even the contractions of their muscles.
He could even hear the thoughts of his opponent, granting him an unparalleled advantage in battle, allowing him to anticipate their moves before they even made them.
He had used this ability to predict Natsu’s attack and evade it with ease.
Another mber of Oracion Seis shared Natsu’s strategy of targeting the opposing leader first, and that mber had set their sights on Drake.
While intelligence reports suggested that Jura Neekis of Sabertooth should be considered the de facto leader of the allied forces, when it ca to the level of threat they posed to Oracion Seis, Drake was by far the most dangerous.
Therefore, Racer, one of the six mbers of Oracion Seis, launched a direct assault against Drake.
With his signature mohawk, glasses, and chin guard, Racer sprinted forward, a smug smile playing on his lips.
He had always considered himself to be the fastest man alive, confident that he could incapacitate Drake before the latter even had a chance to react.
However, as he ran, he noticed that Drake had already turned his head to face him.
Racer instinctively retreated, a look of apprehension replacing his earlier arrogance.
"Impossible! Did my magic malfunction?"
Racer’s magic wasn’t about accelerating his own speed; his incredible velocity was achieved through a different thod entirely.
Speed is a relative concept; Racer’s magic worked by significantly reducing the speed and perception of his opponents, allowing him to surpass them with ease.
He had already used his magic on everyone present, yet Drake had still managed to perceive his movents.
Drake shook his head, a hint of amusent in his eyes. "Your magic is quite fascinating, you know! It did indeed take effect, but even with my speed and perception reduced, I am still faster than you."
With those words, Drake instantly closed the distance, appearing before Racer in a blur of motion. With a powerful kick to the chest, he sent Racer flying backwards.
"You’re far too arrogant!"
Brain’s face darkened, his gaze shifting to Drake, who had brazenly charged into the heart of Oracion Seis’s formation.
Brain unleashed a torrent of powerful dark magic, which surged towards Drake with terrifying speed. However, Drake t the attack head-on, his fiery fists incinerating the dark magic as it approached.
Seizing this opportunity, the remaining mbers of Oracion Seis quickly distanced themselves from Drake.
"Angel, do sothing with your Celestial Spirit!" Racer urged from a distance, having retreated from Drake’s imdiate vicinity.
Angel responded with a sigh of irritation. "I’ve already tried; this man... he’s simply impossible to replicate!"
Angel’s contracted Celestial Spirit, Gemini, was an incredibly powerful being capable of perfectly replicating the appearance, mories, and abilities of its target.
However, no ability is truly absolute; otherwise, every battle would simply involve Gemini replicating the opponent and rendering them helpless.
Gemini’s limitation lay in its consumption of magical energy; the stronger the target being replicated, the greater the drain on the Celestial Spirit Mage’s own magical reserves.
Angel had indeed attempted to replicate Drake using Gemini, but the sheer amount of magical energy required—enough to completely drain her—had forced her to abandon the attempt. However, this experience had also served to underscore Drake’s overwhelming power.
Drake, increasing the intensity of his attack, unleashed Fire Dragon’s Blazing Flas, piercing through the lingering tendrils of dark magic and hurtling towards Brain. Unexpectedly, a young man seated upon a magic carpet intercepted the attack, positioning himself directly in front of Brain.
The young man sat cross-legged on the magic carpet, his eyes closed and his head bowed low; the soft sound of his breathing indicated that he was fast asleep.
Yet, this seemingly slumbering individual stood directly in the path of Drake’s fiery assault. Remarkably, the flas, upon encountering the young man, inexplicably veered to the side, curving around him and continuing their trajectory without causing him any harm.
Drake’s expression shifted to one of intense interest. "Spatial magic, is it? Quite intriguing. I wonder just how far its capabilities extend."
Drake recognized the individual; it was Midnight, a mber of Oracion Seis, whose magic was based on the manipulation of space. Drake was eager to test his own strength against this supposedly insurmountable spatial magic.
Just as Drake was about to launch another attack, the ground beneath his feet suddenly softened, causing him to lose his footing. Looking down, he saw the entire floor begin to undulate and heave.
From a distance, the square-jawed man spoke, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Money, after all, is the most interesting ability, wouldn’t you agree?"
Rustyrose, another mber of Oracion Seis, possessed earth magic, allowing him to soften and manipulate the earth at will.
Rustyrose manipulated the shifting earth, attempting to bury Drake beneath the ground. However, at that very mont, a sturdy rock pillar erupted from the ground beneath Drake’s feet, lifting him safely into the air.
Jura extended his hand towards Drake, a confident smile on his face. "Mr. Drake, please rember that we are here to assist you! Do not underestimate our capabilities!"
"Indeed!" Erza leaped high into the air, activating her Heaven’s Wheel Armor. She then unleashed a barrage of swords, raining down upon the mbers of Oracion Seis.
While Oracion Seis was forced to dodge Erza’s relentless assault, the other mbers of the allied forces launched their own attacks.
"[Ice Make...!]"
"[Ice Make...!]"
Gray and Lyon simultaneously struck their poses, unleashing their ice-based magic towards Oracion Seis.
"[Lance of the Lancer!]" "[Great Eagle!]"
A volley of ice spears and a flock of ice birds were launched simultaneously, striking Oracion Seis with devastating force.
All five mbers of Oracion Seis erged from the resulting cloud of dust and debris, but Lucy had already opened the gate to the Sagittarius Celestial Spirit. Sagittarius, clad in a whimsical horse costu, appeared and unleashed a barrage of magical arrows aid directly at Brain.
However, Brain’s imnse power of dark magic effortlessly deflected Sagittarius’s arrows.
At that very mont, a colossal rock golem rose from the ground, its massive fist swinging down in a devastating blow.
The attack range of this colossal fist encompassed not only Brain but also Lucy herself. It could be argued that this was a purely personal vendetta on Sherry’s part.
Sherry stood atop the colossal rock golem, her expression one of utter disdain as she ignored Lucy’s indignant protests.
Brain, of course, was not so easily defeated, and the other mbers of Oracion Seis had successfully evaded the golem’s attack.
Brain’s initial intention had been to use Oracion Seis to deliver a crushing blow to the allied forces, and if possible, to eliminate them entirely.
However, his plan had been thwarted; he had only managed to incapacitate Ichiya before his ruse was exposed by Drake.
The odds were stacked against them; twelve versus two, Oracion Seis was significantly outnumbered and outmatched in terms of both numbers and overall combat prowess.
Therefore, Brain declared, "Consider our previous actions rely a form of greeting. Regardless, as long as we achieve our objective, everything will fall under our control. If you wish to impede our progress, then by all ans, feel free to try!"
With those words, Brain raised his hand high above his head, and a colossal magic circle materialized, unleashing a wave of ghostly dark magic that surged towards all those present.
After the allied forces had successfully repelled Brain’s bombardnt using their own magic, they discovered that Oracion Seis had already vanished from their sight.
"They escaped rather quickly, didn’t they?" Drake remarked, waving away the lingering dust and debris with his hand.
Jura furrowed his brow, his expression one of concern. "Brain’s ntion of his objective is rather unsettling; just what is it that they intend to accomplish?"
Hibiki stepped forward, providing so clarification. "According to the intelligence we’ve gathered, Oracion Seis’s objective in this operation is to obtain the legendary forbidden magic... Nirvana!"
