"Bombardnt"
Everyone except Finn launched a combined assault on the Fallen Sprite fragnt.
As for Finn... there was absolutely no need for anyone to worry about him. With his "Berserk Magic Spear" activated, dealing with Valletta alone was a sure thing.
However, the situation on the other side wasn’t exactly rosy. The effects of "Shaldo" were still in effect, and facing the Fallen Sprite fragnt under these conditions placed considerable pressure on the group.
Even Drake felt his strength diminished, reduced to roughly 80% of his usual power.
It was a matter of either achieving a swift victory or holding out until Finn had dealt with Valletta. Everyone understood this.
In the original storyline, during the Loki Familia’s second expedition, they had also fought a Fallen Sprite fragnt, but the situation was quite different this ti.
The Loki Familia was missing Riveria and Lefiya, who usually provided crucial fire support, but they had gained Drake’s assistance.
On the Fallen Sprite fragnt’s side, while it was also a mature form, it lacked the ti to create a massive army like the countless monsters they had encountered on Level 59.
Instead, they faced an assassination guild wielding cursed weapons, along with the red-haired woman and Valletta, two high-level combatants. Their combined strength was arguably no weaker than the Fallen Sprite fragnt they had faced on Level 59.
After cleaving the thunder spear, Gareth charged towards the Fallen Sprite, his battle-axe crashing heavily into the ground. The resulting shockwave sent a large number of enemies flying forward.
The Amazonian sisters seized the opportunity to charge forward, acting like a pair of sharp daggers, striking directly at the Fallen Sprite’s position.
As for Ais, she had been relentlessly entangled by the red-haired woman from the very beginning and was completely unable to break free.
For so reason, Ais seed to have beco an obsession for the red-haired woman. Compared to carrying out the Fallen Sprite’s orders, it seed as though she was fighting Ais out of her own volition.
Tsubaki also charged into the fray, her warhamr whirling, sending countless assassins and monsters flying.
Drake knocked an assassin away with a single punch, and seeing the Fallen Sprite begin its incantation again, he couldn’t help but sigh.
Earlier, Drake had mocked Bell for always encountering trouble in the Dungeon, but it seed he wasn’t doing much better himself.
During the extermination of Amphisbaena, he had encountered Revis; during the Loki Familia’s expedition, he had encountered Vendetta; and upon returning from the extermination of the Fallen Sprite, he had encountered Ottar.
Now, while simply testing out so weapons, he had been drawn into this battle. It was important to rember that the battle in the original storyline was definitely not this intense.
Drake was extrely annoyed, so he decided to vent his frustration.
"Fal!"
At Drake’s call, Fal, his body enveloped in raging flas, appeared in mid-air, resembling a miniature sun in the Dungeon’s Level 24.
"Burn them all!"
Drake leaped onto Fal’s back, issuing his command.
Drake rarely used Fal in combat, as it not only made the battles rather boring, but Fal’s attacks, while effective against weaker enemies, were sowhat lacking when facing stronger opponents.
But this situation was perfectly suited to Fal’s strengths. Fal roared, unleashing a massive pillar of fire towards the ground.
The pillar of fire swept across the ground, triggering a series of explosions. Mushroom clouds blood, and the ground beneath was completely overturned. Carnivorous plants and mbers of the assassination guild alike were sent flying into the air.
Even Gareth and the Amazonian sisters, who had been charging forward, halted their advance, fearing that Fal might accidentally send them flying as well.
Tione looked up towards Fal in the sky. "Is that the true power of Drake’s sprite? It’s completely different from what I’ve read in the stories!"
In the legends of the Dungeon’s heroes, sprites were never described as sources of imnse power; instead, they were depicted as "wise ones" who provided guidance and support to heroes.
Therefore, upon witnessing Fal’s incredibly violent display of power, Tione was imdiately stunned.
The reactions of the others were similar. However, since sprites only existed in legend, they weren’t entirely sure whether Fal was a "legitimate" sprite.
Even Finn, who was already in a berserk state, paused his assault, his expression one of astonishnt as he gazed at Fal.
Valletta was utterly devastated. She had initially believed that she could easily eliminate Finn, that annoying bastard, but this unexpected creature had appeared out of nowhere.
"I’ve never heard of such a monster before! Damn that lucky bastard! He can even turn the tables in a situation like this!"
Finn pointed his spear at Valletta. "No matter what happens, you’re destined to fail!"
Valletta’s face darkened as she watched Fal wreak havoc across the battlefield, but she refrained from the verbal abuse she had indulged in earlier.
However, she could be heard grinding her teeth, clearly filled with extre resentnt. It was unclear whether this resentnt was directed at Finn or at Drake, who had so unexpectedly disrupted her plans.
Fal, carrying Drake, continued to clear out the enemies below while simultaneously closing in on the Fallen Sprite.
The Fallen Sprite was chanting an ultra-long incantation spell, but just as it was about to be completed, Drake’s attack arrived.
"Fire Dragon’s Horn!"
Drake transford into a fiery teor, instantly leaping from Fal’s back to the Fallen Sprite’s position, delivering a powerful headbutt to the Fallen Sprite’s female form in the abdon.
The Fallen Sprite’s incantation abruptly ceased, and its entire body was sent reeling backward. The raging flas ignited the Fallen Sprite’s female form, and its body crashed directly into the quartz pillar behind it, shattering it to pieces.
Not only that, but the interruption of the ultra-long incantation caused the Fallen Sprite’s magic power to surge uncontrollably. The imnse magical energy that overflowed dispersed the flas, effectively blowing the Fallen Sprite’s body to smithereens.
Gareth slamd his battle-axe into the ground. "So, that’s the kind of strength it takes to go toe-to-toe with Ottar? Drake really is a wolf in sheep’s clothing!"
Tsubaki, shouldering the Returning Hamr, laughed. "Well, my junior is pretty amazing, isn’t he? Perhaps a little too amazing. It puts a lot of pressure on us seniors!"
The results of Drake’s attack were so spectacular that even Gareth couldn’t help but express his amazent.
"But we can’t afford to fall behind either!" Gareth declared, dragging his battle-axe and charging back into the fray.
This was the unwavering resolve of a top-tier adventurer, and Gareth’s words served to inspire the others.
Tione threw both of her recurved blades, the blades piercing through two assassins, and the remaining montum sent them flying backward.
Having discarded her weapons, Tione beca even more ferocious, using only her fists to smash a carnivorous plant that was blocking her path.
Tiona was not slow to react either, her twin blades whirling with even greater force and speed.
Because Fal had already cleared a wide swathe of the battlefield, the group quickly advanced to the Fallen Sprite’s position.
Drake frowned as he watched the Fallen Sprite instantly regenerate the damage it had sustained.
This Fallen Sprite fragnt’s self-healing capabilities far exceeded those of the one they had encountered on Level 59. It was likely due to the abundant nutrients provided by the quartz pillar in the food storeroom that had allowed it to develop such exceptional regenerative abilities.
This ant that Drake’s plan to eliminate it in one fell swoop would be considerably more difficult.
Just as Drake was making his observations, countless tentacles extended from the Fallen Sprite’s vine-like body, their sharp tips resembling spear points, aiming directly at Drake.
Before Drake could even react, Gareth positioned himself in front of Drake, swinging his great axe and severing all the tentacles in a single stroke.
And the Fallen Sprite, which had been chanting a short incantation spell, was struck by a warhamr that ca flying from the side.
Drake smiled. Unlike the last ti, this ti, he wasn’t fighting alone.
