"The Kill"

Drake’s speed not only startled Vendetta but also shocked Ais.

Even with Ais’s exceptional dynamic vision, she couldn’t see how Drake had approached Vendetta.

The sense of impending death jolted Vendetta from his shock. He took a step back to create distance, then threw a punch at Drake.

Drake, facing the punch, even had the leisure to crack his neck before raising a hand to block it.

Drake’s fingers swept across Vendetta’s wrist; Vendetta felt a montary numbness in his arm, rendering it useless.

Apparently, even as a monster, his physical structure hadn’t changed much. Compared to his body, his mind seed to have undergone a greater transformation.

Drake then delivered a swift kick to Vendetta’s stomach, sending him flying.

He didn’t fly far, however, as Drake grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

At this mont, Drake perfectly channeled Gojo Satoru’s technique for subduing Special Grade Cursed Spirits, landing three consecutive punches to Vendetta’s stomach. The final punch created a bowl-sized hole.

Vendetta spat out a mouthful of blood, then a cruel smile appeared on his face.

He tore his skin and muscles, actively severing his own arm to distance himself from Drake.

Drake dropped the severed arm, watching Vendetta begin to regenerate but didn’t pursue.

His last all-out battle was the subjugation of the Amphisbaena; adventuring with Welf in the upper levels hadn’t been a real workout.

Drake hadn’t attacked Vendetta’s vitals to instantly kill him; he wanted to rediscover the feel of battle.

Vendetta’s durable, self-healing body was the perfect training dummy.

Vendetta looked at Drake with apprehension. He never expected the seemingly harmless youth to be so terrifying once he revealed his true nature.

"Who are you? Why have I never heard of soone like you?"

This was Vendetta’s most pressing question; even Ais watched Drake’s back, awaiting his answer.

Drake said, "As expected, you have outside connections!"

"Damn you!"

Vendetta, frustrated at not getting the answer he wanted and having his information revealed, charged again.

Honestly, Vendetta’s speed was impressive, definitely Level 6; most adventurers couldn’t follow his movents.

But to Drake, he was too slow.

Drake stepped forward, precisely intercepting Vendetta; they engaged in close-quarters combat.

Vendetta’s offense was fierce; his monstrous strength and self-healing ability allowed for a reckless fighting style.

This style, trading blows for advantage, could overwhelm even sa-level adventurers.

Unfortunately, his opponent was Drake; Drake’s martial arts were on a completely different level.

Vendetta’s attacks were chaotic and undisciplined, yet their power and speed were deadly.

In contrast, despite the rapid exchange of blows, Drake’s movents were exceptionally elegant.

Whether countering directly or exploiting openings, no matter how frenzied Vendetta beca, he remained perfectly controlled by Drake.

Under this pressure, even the monstrous White-Haired Ghost felt despair.

Conversely, Drake felt his body heating up. This wasn’t just a physiological response to exertion; his dormant fighting instincts were awakening.

As Drake’s body ward, his dominance over Vendetta beca even more terrifying.

Ais, observing from the side, involuntarily exclaid, "Amazing!"

Orario adventurers primarily improve their strength through Divine Blessings—attribute points, magic, skills, and ability developnt.

Martial arts are generally developed through combat experience with monsters.

These skills are practical and powerful, but Ais sensed sothing entirely different about Drake’s abilities.

It was sothing she’d only seen in the man from her mories—the last hero, the rcenary king, Albert Wallenstein.

"You monster!"

Vendetta roared, unleashing a full-powered punch. Drake countered with a punch of his own; their fists collided.

The resulting shockwave lifted Drake’s cloak, but Vendetta’s fist was twisted, his arm bones shattering.

Drake scoffed. "I really don’t want you calling

a monster!"

Calling soone who had beco a monster a monster was complex for Drake, but he’d take it as a complint.

In return, Drake decided to give him a swift end.

Sensing Drake’s killing intent, Vendetta’s eyes turned bloodshot.

"No, I can’t die! I haven’t fulfilled her wish! Stop him!"

Vendetta’s command wasn’t for Drake or Ais but for the carnivorous plants that had been climbing up since earlier.

The plants attacked Drake frantically, and Vendetta turned to flee.

Ais only saw a red shadow erupt from Drake, bypassing the plants and intercepting Vendetta.

Vendetta tried to jump into the hole but found himself blocked by a colossal figure.

"ROAR!!!"

Fal, restored to his ten-ter size, roared at Vendetta; the intense heat curled his hair.

Vendetta didn’t consider this majestic being a monster like the wyverns.

Seeing the flas in Fal’s mouth, Vendetta knew that even the slightest movent would trigger an attack, turning him to ash.

BOOM!

Vendetta sensed the heat from behind but didn’t dare turn around; he didn’t see the carnivorous plants turning to ash in Drake’s flas.

"Who... who are you?"

Vendetta’s voice trembled with uncontainable fear.

"Just a passing blacksmith."

Those were the last words Vendetta heard; the last thing he saw was the flas erupting from Fal’s mouth.
