Chapter 150: SFDI: Chapter 150

"Successful Subjugation"

"[Dragon Slayer]" and "[Dragon God’s Rage]" are effective against human opponents, but against massive monsters, Drake found "[Martial Saint]" more suitable.

The "[Martial Saint]" weapon--crescent blade, possesses both the power of a heavy weapon and the sharpness of a keen blade.

Originally designed for peerless martial artists to dominate the battlefield, it’s highly effective against large monsters.

Drake, wielding the crescent blade, his body enveloped in intense flas, beca a fiery teor, assaulting Amphisbaena.

Amphisbaena’s flexible white tail rose again, lashing out at Drake like a fly swatter.

Drake raised his blade, cleaving through scales, skin, and muscle; the blade’s flas seared the wound black.

Amphisbaena’s tail was severed, leaving a significant gash on the exposed bone.

Drake was unsatisfied with the result! While he wasn’t thrown back as before, at his peak, this strike should have severed the tail completely.

Rotating his body, Drake skillfully deflected the impact, continuing his assault without slowing.

Amphisbaena’s roars were filled with pain, but it also sensed the danger posed by its opponent.

Though a mindless beast, it acutely perceived life-threatening danger.

Red mist erupted from its mouth, completely obscuring Amphisbaena’s body.

Drake charged into the red mist; while he felt no physical discomfort, his flas weakened and largely dissipated.

Drake didn’t retreat; although the magical enhancent was reduced, his physical strength alone was sufficient to breach Amphisbaena’s defenses.

Drake swung his blade, cleaving only the still-turbulent lake surface. Before Drake could close the distance, Amphisbaena had subrged.

This explained Amphisbaena’s higher estimated level underwater—Level 6.

Its agility in the water, allowing it to evade attacks by subrging, made it significantly more difficult to fight.

Drake saw bubbles rising from the lake’s depths, followed by a flash of pale blue light.

Imdiately afterward, a large amount of steam erupted along with the pale blue flas. The flas enveloped Drake, and the rising steam and red mist combined to obscure everything.

Drake was surprised; if Amphisbaena intentionally created this environnt, its intelligence needed reevaluation.

While the obscured vision would hinder other adventurers, Drake clearly sensed Amphisbaena’s swift underwater attack.

Drake brushed away the clinging flas, raising his blade defensively.

Simultaneously, a head erged, snapping at Drake. The "[Martial Saint]" blade’s hilt beca lodged in its fangs.

Sparks flew as the fang and hilt scraped; the thrashing head sent Drake spinning through the air.

Drake held firm to the hilt, simultaneously kicking Amphisbaena on the nose.

Even covered in scale armor, the nose was a vulnerable point. Amphisbaena recoiled in pain, releasing Drake.

Drake was flung from the misty area, using the montum to gain altitude.

Before Drake could catch his breath, Amphisbaena burst from the water.

Lacking wings, Amphisbaena sohow launched itself into the air, aiming a vicious bite at Drake.

"You really think you can beat ?"

Drake had the upper hand in the fight, but he was consistently being countered.

The weakening potion was partly responsible, but the environnt was the biggest factor.

The lake environnt forced aerial combat; while more agile, Drake lacked leverage, limiting the effectiveness of many of his techniques.

However, Drake, having trained in martial arts for so long, possessed techniques to counter this situation.

Drake’s long blade spun, carrying his body with it.

Dodging Amphisbaena’s bite, Drake beca a whirling blade, striking down its neck towards its body.

Gashes appeared along Amphisbaena’s neck, scales cleanly severed; copious amounts of dragon blood sprayed, staining Drake’s body.

The blade pierced deep into the forked part of its body; Drake fell with the screaming Amphisbaena back into the lake.

Water splashed; after several seconds, the lake surface cald.

This calm, however, lasted only a minute before the lake began to churn and boil as if brought to a boil.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Amphisbaena resurfaced, its two heads thrashing wildly, sending water flying.

However, along with the water, a significant amount of blood was visible.

No one knew exactly what happened underwater, but Amphisbaena’s body was covered in horrifying wounds.

Drake’s blade remained embedded in its back; Amphisbaena’s frenzied struggles were futile.

Standing on Amphisbaena’s body, Drake gripped the blade with both hands, a fierce expression on his face, gathering imnse flas.

Amphisbaena’s red mist breath attack could negate magical bombardnt, forcing adventurers to rely on physical attacks.

But Drake doubted it could weaken a magical attack directly infused into its body.

Drake’s Dragon Force surged; the overactive Dragon Force caused dragon scale patterns to appear on his face.

Transford from Dragon Force, dragon flas—no weaker than the pale blue flas—were channeled through the "[Martial Saint]" into Amphisbaena’s body.

Amphisbaena struggled even more violently; the area where Drake’s blade was embedded glowed red.

The light was so intense, it was visible through the muscle, skin, and scales.

Both heads turned, desperately trying to bite Drake.

Drake lowered his body, dodging both heads.

While Amphisbaena’s heads were agile, Drake’s position was beyond their reach.

Both heads brushed past Drake, their sharp scales cutting his body.

Drake pushed the blade deeper, infusing even more dragon flas.

Amphisbaena’s struggles ceased; its chest swelled, the scales standing on end.

Seconds later, Amphisbaena’s chest exploded, flas carrying its shattered organs, scales, and flesh flying outwards.

A massive magic stone was also flung out in the flas, quickly developing spiderweb-like cracks before shattering mid-air.

Drake’s footing gave way; Amphisbaena disintegrated into countless particles of light.

The Lone King Amphisbaena was defeated!
