Chapter 126: SFDI: Chapter 126

"The Decisive Battle"

Jose, as one of the Saint Ten, wasn’t easily defeated by a single Fire Dragon’s Iron Fist.

Surging dark magic enveloped him, and he rose again.

He looked considerably worse for wear, a large fist-shaped imprint on his face, alongside burn marks from the flas. His pointed wizard hat was nowhere to be seen, oddly lessening his usual sinister aura.

Perhaps years as guild master had made Jose overly reliant on sches and underhanded tactics. However, he had forgotten that in the end, a mage’s ultimate strength lies in their own power!

After being sent flying by Drake’s punch, Jose finally regained his composure. He finally displayed the mindset and skill befitting a Saint Ten mage.

Instead of anger, a laugh erupted from Jose.

"Hahahaha! Youngster, I must thank you for this wake-up call. Let

repay you with a taste of true nightmare!"

With these words, Jose spread his palms open, and a trendous amount of magical energy gathered on each of his five fingers. The dark magic coalesced into bullets at his fingertips, which were then swiftly launched towards Drake.

Drake moved with incredible speed, circling Jose and dodging the barrage of dark bullets, which rely left countless craters in the surrounding walls.

Jose swung his arm, and nurous ghostly arrows materialized in the air, arcing towards Drake’s position.

Drake halted his movents, his arms swaying as he unleashed a series of flaming hand blades that effortlessly sliced through every single ghostly arrow.

More flas erupted from Drake’s other hand, and after combining the flas from both hands, he hurled them towards Jose.

Fire Dragon’s Blazing Inferno!

The enormous fireball incinerated the remaining ghostly arrows in its path, its montum undiminished as it continued its trajectory towards Jose.

A dark purple magic circle materialized before Jose, and a surging vortex of dark magic ford a spiral that collided with the oncoming fireball.

After a brief stalemate, the dark spiral and the fireball simultaneously exploded.

Drake’s eyes narrowed as the flas before him surged, and several dark tentacles swiftly erged from within, extending towards him.

Four tentacles ensnared Drake’s limbs, lifting him into the air. The flas dispersed, revealing Jose standing behind him.

"Youngster," Jose sneered, "do you finally understand your powerlessness before ?"

Drake looked up, "Honestly, I’m still not a fan of tentacle attacks!"

White vapor emanated from Drake’s body, and the intricate patterns of dragon scales spread across his face.

To Jose’s astonishnt, the dark tentacles constricting Drake’s limbs were ignited, and within a re two seconds, they were completely incinerated.

The mont Drake landed back on the ground, Jose unleashed a beam of dark energy.

The dark beam pierced straight through Drake’s body, also piercing the ground beneath him. Yet, Jose’s face betrayed no hint of satisfaction or triumph.

The Drake that had been pierced suddenly blurred, then vanished completely into thin air.

"An afterimage?!" Jose exclaid, his voice laced with disbelief.

Even for a Saint Ten mage like Jose, it was exceedingly rare to encounter soone capable of unleashing such terrifying speed.

However, the pressing issue at hand was Drake’s current location.

Jose’s pupils constricted as he sensed a sudden gust of hot air swirling around him. He felt as though he were standing next to a blazing furnace, yet at the sa ti, an icy chill ran down his spine!

Before he could even attempt to evade, a sharp, searing pain struck his waist.

Fire Dragon’s Claw!

With a swift and powerful kick, Drake sent Jose flying through the air. Jose crashed through a wall, propelled into another room!

Drake pursued him relentlessly, and the mont he burst into the empty room—the purpose of which remained unknown—he was t with another barrage of dark energy beams launched by Jose.

Like a veritable god of fla, Drake swung his iron fists, shattering the dark energy beams with the most brutal of thods.

Then, Drake finally locked eyes with Jose, whose expression was now one of grim determination.

"You have truly angered !" Jose declared, his voice dripping with venom. "Prepare to witness true despair!"

It was only then that Drake noticed the massive amount of magical energy that had gathered around him.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The magical energy detonated in a series of deafening explosions, the dark crimson light a testant to the negative magical energy being unleashed at its absolute limit.

The entire fortress seed to tremble under the force of the explosions, and the interconnected red mushroom clouds rendered Jose unable to see clearly what was happening within.

Throughout the fortress, battles raged on various fronts!

Natsu looked up, his brow furrowed. Facing him was Gajeel, his body still wrapped in bandages.

"Do you feel it?" Gajeel asked, his voice laced with a hint of grim amusent. "That’s Guild Master Jose’s magic. I wonder who’s unlucky enough to be facing him right now!"

Natsu shouted back, his voice filled with unwavering confidence, "Shut up! Drake’s not going to lose!"

Gajeel paused for a mont, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. He had initially intended to taunt Drake, but for so inexplicable reason, he found himself unable to utter the venomous words he had prepared.

"Do you have ti to worry about others?" Gajeel retorted, his voice regaining its usual harshness. "Perhaps you should focus on figuring out how to escape from my grasp!"

Natsu brought his fists together, his determination unwavering. "Damn it! I’ll beat you to a pulp! And Drake’s not going to lose!"

...

Erza’s opponent was Aria, the Sky elent of the Four Elents. Earlier, she had been struck by Aria’s magic, losing a portion of her magical power and placing her at a disadvantage.

Aria, feigning sadness with theatrical tears streaming down her face, lanted, "I wonder who’s been defeated by the Guild Master... such a tragedy!"

Erza, bracing herself with her sword, rose to her feet, her voice firm and resolute. "Drake won’t be defeated so easily. I’ll take care of you before he defeats their leader!"

...

Gray looked up at the sky, now shrouded in dark clouds, before turning his gaze towards the blue-haired girl with an umbrella.

"It’s ti to end this rain," he declared.

Juvia, the Water elent among the Four Elents, was inexplicably blushing more and more intensely as the battle with Gray progressed.

...

"Man!" Elfman roared, a magic circle forming before him.

"To dare to insult my family... I will not forgive you!"

Nurous figures stood before him, their movents stiff and unnatural, like puppets.

Most crucially, these figures were clearly modeled after Elfman’s sister, Mirajane, and his deceased younger sister, Lisanna.

Elfman’s opponent was Sol, the Earth elent, whose magic allowed him to manipulate sand and stone; these lifelike imitations were his creations.

Sol’s ability to peek into people’s mories had allowed him to identify the individuals most important to Elfman.

However, this proved to be a grave miscalculation on Sol’s part, as his manipulation of these precious mories had only served to ignite Elfman’s fury to an unprecedented degree.

As a result, Elfman had transcended his previous limitations, achieving complete mastery over the power he had once considered a nightmare.

Take Over: Full Body Take Over - Beast Soul!

...

The final mber of the Four Elents, Rabbit Maru, possessed the power to manipulate flas. Initially, he had fought Natsu to a standstill, neither mage able to gain the upper hand as one was immune to fire, and the other controlled it.

However, he was quickly frozen by Gray, who arrived on the scene, and then sent flying by Erza.

The tide of the war began to shift decisively in Fairy Tail’s favor. The scales of victory were slowly but surely tilting towards them.

And everyone knew that the outco of the battle between the two leaders would ultimately determine the fate of the war.

Would Drake let down the expectations of his comrades? The answer was self-evident.

The smoke and dust from the explosions finally cleared, revealing Drake standing amidst the debris, his arms crossed protectively over his head.

White vapor rose from the wounds on his arms and body, and then, with astonishing speed, they began to heal and close. Within re seconds, all traces of the injuries had vanished completely!

Jose’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible!" he exclaid, his voice filled with astonishnt. "Just who in the world are you, you little brat?!"

Drake, a smile playing upon his lips, replied, "I suppose I should introduce myself. My na is Drake, son of Igneel, the Fire Dragon King, and a mage of Fairy Tail! And of course, I’m the one who’s about to defeat you!"
