Even though Ethan was swearing under his breath, he had just confird a critical piece of information.

This Word Magic Demon wasn't terrifying just because of his "word becos law" magic.

What made him especially dangerous was his instinct for danger — or rather, his reaction speed.

Ethan had ambushed him.

And not just any ambush — a carefully tid, multi-layered, multi-elent attack.

Wind magic, lightning magic, light magic... and even ti magic.

It had been lightning-fast — and still failed by a narrow margin.

---

"Ti magic...? Julius? No… Ethan ?"

Patolli looked at the newcor in astonishnt.

If he rembered correctly, only Julius had ever wielded ti magic.

"We'll settle things between us later..."

Ethan shot him a brief glance and replied calmly.

He was soone who always paid back his grudges.

But he wasn't stupid either.

Clearly, Patolli and the others had broken ties with the demon.

They must have discovered the truth behind everything.

The priority now was to take down the demon — not to fight on two fronts and give the demon an opening.

---

[Dark Magic — Naless Blade]!

[rcury Magic — Thousand Variations]...

As magic surged like a storm overhead, Yami and the others dropped in through the windows above.

Upon seeing the demon, everyone's expressions turned solemn.

---

"What an overwhelming presence... No, rather than mana, it feels like another kind of energy."

"Be careful, our magic—!"

Before they could finish, all their spells — which had been flying toward the demon — suddenly reversed course mid-air.

Everyone was stunned.

---

"That's his unique Word Magic," Ethan explained.

"As long as he says it, it becos reality."

What?! He can just speak and make it happen?

"Yeah, I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's real.

That said, it's not all-powerful — for example, he can't just say 'we all die' and have it work."

The group collectively sighed in relief.

Thank goodness he couldn't just kill them with a word — otherwise, how would anyone even fight him?

---

"Keheheh~ I didn't expect you to know so much. Honestly, I'm curious...

Who are you really? How do you know so much about my plan?"

The Word Demon narrowed his eyes, his interest clearly piqued.

Not only had this stranger seen through his carefully laid plan,

he even knew his magic inside and out — like they'd known each other for years.

---

"You want to know? Trade your head for the answer!"

Ethan made the first move.

Only elite or special forms of magic could actually harm a demon —

like Asta's Anti-Magic, Yami's Dark Magic, or the overwhelming force of the First Wizard King's Light Magic.

Most regular spells? Practically useless.

Even though nearly all of the Magic Knight captains were here, only a few could really contribute.

In fact, in an extre situation, they might not even be able to defend themselves.

---

[Dark Magic — Twin Wolf Clutch]!

Yami's twin dark wolves flanked the demon from both sides in a coordinated strike.

---

"You're annoying… but the others? Not so much."

The demon shifted tactics.

His mana morphed into two massive, swift wolves.

He had no intention of fighting Ethan head-on — at least not for now.

With a flap of his wings, he took to the sky, changing targets.

---

[Blade Storm]!

The mont he spoke, it beca reality.

Dark vortexes opened in midair, spewing out countless blades that rained down like a storm.

Bang! Clang!—

Asta swung his Demon-Dweller Sword in alarm.

So of these blades weren't made of magic — they were real.

That ant his Anti-Magic wouldn't work on them.

---

"Tch... This guy's good."

Seeing the others struggle to hold their own made Ethan frown.

This demon wasn't dumb — he knew to go after the weakest targets first.

Compared to Ethan , people like Asta were much easier to handle.

At best, their magic was third-tier, and most of them posed no real threat.

They were basically training dummies.

---

[Earth Creation Magic — Wall Array]!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Three massive earth walls erupted from the ground, giving the team a mont's breathing room.

Seeing this, Yami and the others seized the chance to counterattack, magic charging in their hands.

---

[Dark Magic — Dinsional Slash]!

With a single swing, Yami cleaved through space itself.

The ongoing Blade Storm was instantly split in two.

As the walls crumbled, a fiery red figure burst forth, flying straight toward the demon.

---

[Mana Zone — Scorching Gauntlet Barrage]!

Her fists engulfed in blazing fire, reoleona lunged at the demon like a lioness pouncing on prey.

BOOM! BAM! THWACK!

Her fists beca a flurry of blows, a machine gun of fla and fury.

Each strike slamd into the demon's body, and fiery shockwaves swept across the battlefield, leaving even the bystanders drenched in sweat.

The demon was finally launched like a teor, crashing to the ground.

---

"YES! Big Sis nailed it!"

"That's the strength of the Crimson Lion King's new captain!"

"Her fire magic is insane...!"

Everyone stood in awe.

This was a demon — and she just pounded him into the ground like it was nothing?

---

"She's strong, no doubt..."

Ethan stared into the dust-filled crater, unconvinced.

He didn't doubt reoleona's strength.

Even he would think twice before engaging her in lee combat.

But if you can't finish a demon in one blow…

Then no matter how fancy your moves are — they're pointless.

---

"Heheh~ That was impressive. I didn't know humans had such powerful won.

You really hurt …"

As the smoke cleared, the Word Demon erged, tilting his neck disturbingly — nearly 180 degrees.

His body was scorched in multiple places.

Any regular human would've been dead ten tis over.

But the demon just smiled.

---

"Recover."

Everyone froze.

Before their eyes, the twisted neck snapped back into place.

The burn wounds faded in an instant.

In less than a second, injuries that would've killed any human had completely vanished.
