Lu was definitely desperate to kill him and he expected her to co to him sooner than later.
It did not take long before Lu tracked Tang Shunian to the hospital, and that made Tang Shunian both scared and surprised.
He was scared that with such a capable and fast person like Lu was his hunter. He will not be able to escape her.
What surprised him happily was that when Lu was so capable, she must be really strong and if he could beco as strong as she was, then he would not need to worry about anyone.
The hospital was small, and the nurses on duty all fell asleep because of exhaustion. There were only a few patients in the hospital and most of the wards were empty.
The lights in the corridor were dim, and looked scary.
Lu walked in without making a sound.
Maybe for anyone else, it was a scary place, but Lu was scared of nothing.
The sll of antiseptic solution was everywhere in the hospital. Apart from that, there was a faint sll of blood.
Everyone had a different scent, the sa went for the sll of their blood. But these were very faint scents that could not be distinguished by human nose. Animals could easily distinguish their masters from friends and strangers by this.
Lu had a far sharper sense of sll than most human beings, sotis even sharper than that of animals. That was why she had been able to catch up with Tang Shunian.
Of course, that would only work when they were not too far apart. If Tang Shunianhad been in B City whilst she was in A City, she would not be able to track him.
But now they were in the sa city, and that made it very easy for her to reach him.
Unless Tang Shunian was hidden deep underground, Lu was not going to allow him to escape.
Following the faint scent of blood, Lu dashed up to the top floor.
There were fourteen floors in this hospital and the outpatient sections took up the first nine floors whilst the last five were wards.
When she reached the 14th floor, the scent of his blood beca stronger. Apart from the scent, there was a sll of knockout drops in the air as well.
How stupid was he?
Lu laughed coldly to herself. Was he thinking of using this thod on her? She was not going to be affected by anything like this.
She pushed open the door of one of the wards and walked in slowly.
Tang Shunian was lying on the sickbed, looking furious and frightened. He confronted her fiercely, “Angel, what are you doing here?! Didn’t you promise
that you will not hunt
as long as I released Jing Yiran? You are breaking your promise!”
Lu threw a look at him and said indifferently, “Weren’t you waiting for ? Otherwise, you would not have left apparent traces that I could follow you to this hospital. You have thought of so ways to deal with , have you? You better forget about knockout drops, because I am not going to be affected by them. Anesthetic might work better, but this hospital might not have enough of it.”
Tang Shunian looked at her and then beca wildly happy. He had unusual red patches on the face and did not even feel pain in the broken arm right now.
He might not be able to deal with Lu diplomatically, so he went for the direct approach. He looked at Lu greedily. “Girl, if you tell
about your body’s secret, then I may not hurt you!”
Lu was slightly startled and then realized that she had given away so important information about herself.
But she did not panic.
Few people knew about her secret in this world, and those who did were either trying to gain benefits for themselves or stay close to her as friends, so they would not reveal her secret to the public. And those who got to know about it accidentally and tried to make use of her, were all dead.
Since Tang Shunian had discovered her secret, she would not spare him.
Lu stood by the sickbed and gazed at Tang Shunian with a calm expression. “What if I don’t tell you anything?”
Tang Shunian was not scared of Lu even if she stayed so close to him. He looked excited and happy!
“If you don’t tell
anything, then Jing Yiran whom you just saved will be dead!”
“Oh, him again?”
Lu sounded very calm. She was not nervous like she had been when Tang Shunian threatened her for the first ti with Jing Yiran.
Tang Shunian thought that sothing was wrong, but he could not tell what it was. He thought for a while carefully and could not find any loophole.
He felt hair standing upon the back of his neck when Lu stared at him. She had no expression on her face. So he said proudly, “Yes, it is him again!”
“You want to hear my secret?”
“Yes, tell
now, and Jing Yiran will not need to suffer.”
“Oh, it is nothing big. I am stronger than ordinary people, because there is a virus existing in my body. That virus can make
as strong as a superman and as weak as tofu. You want it?”
Tang Shunian automatically ignored “as weak as tofu” but held on to “as strong as a superman”.
He said with a twisted face, “I want to be strong, give
your blood!”
Lu sounded unaffected but said calmly, “Sure, but are you sure you have nothing more to tell ? Who else have you taken hostage apart from Jing Yiran?”
Tang Shunian turned a bit wary at her words, but he still could not understand what Lu ant. The anesthetic that stopped him from getting pain had also made his brain functioning slow.
He was no longer as quick-witted as before, so he said quickly, “Who else apart from Jing Yiran?”
“Oh in that case.... I thought that you had got soone else in mind. Then...”
Lu raised the gun and aid it at Tang Shunian’s head. She said coldly, “You can die now!”
