Chapter 436: Fooled
Ji Bo smiled at her, politely and found himself nervous for the very first ti of his life. “My na is Ji Bo. I am Ji Lili’s cousin. My cousin has wronged you and I apologize on her behalf. Please don’t take her words seriously, she has not grown up yet.”
When the red wine had landed upon Shangguan Rouxue, Ji Lili was the first one who cursed and shouted at Shangguan Ning. Her words had been extrely harsh.
Ji Bo noticed that she was startled. Probably, she hadn’t expected that soone might have noticed what actually happened. Then she smiled, “No worries, apology accepted. You are a good person. Ji Lili is lucky.”
She was peaceful, calm, and forgiving.
Her looks and conduct left such a deep impression in Ji Bo’s heart that when he was selecting his secretary, he kept the one whose voice resembled Shangguan Ning’s.
His secretary was not capable at her work but she had been with him for four years just because he was obsessed with her voice.
Apart from the two banquets, Shangguan Ning had been to Family Ji three tis and each ti, she was with Shangguan Rouxue.
What Shangguan Ning didn’t know was that her encounter with Ji Bo had always been planned patiently by him. Whenever he knew that Shangguan Ning was coming to visit Family Ji, he would stay back and eat at ho.
Every ti Ji Lili picked on her, Ji Bo would speak for her and lecture Ji Lili to stop her from ssing around. That was why Ji Lili always assud that Ji Bo fancied Shangguan Ning.
If only nothing had changed, then all would have been so wonderful at this mont.
He had not only failed to catch this woman who once made his heart throb but also ended up becoming her enemy. Now, they were locked in a life and death struggle.
A patch of bitterness covered Ji Bo’s heart.
He had lost to Jing Yichen in every aspect – ability, family, career and love.
Jing Yichen was more decisive than him. He had known Shangguan Ning for just one month before marrying her. And their magnificent wedding was going to take place tomorrow.
While he was going to be the one who ruined their wedding and destroyed their relationship.
Seeing Ji Bo gazing at her, Shangguan Ning couldn’t help but frown. “President Ji, why have you kidnapped ? I need to go back to the hotel.”
Ji Bo spoke slowly, “Sorry, Shangguan, but I can’t let you go.”
You are the last person I want to trouble and I don’t want to ruin your happiness. But if I don’t ruin you, my life will be ruined.

“Don’t worry, it is pretty safe here. I won’t hurt you. You can leave when dawn cos. But before that, you must stay here. Are you hungry? I will send soone to get you so food.”
Shangguan Ning turned to look at Ji Bo in astonishnt. She had known Ji Bo to be a gentleman with a mild temper, but at this mont, he was Jing Yichen’s worst enemy. He shouldn’t be treating her in such a nice way.
Jing Yichen once said that Ji Bo was not as nice as he looked on the surface and that he often used fierce and ruthless thods. Therefore, Shangguan Ning also thought that what she had seen of him was just a facade.
But at this mont, Ji Bo didn’t seem to be hostile towards her. He was talking with her in the sa way and with the sa tone as he had on all the previous occasions when they had t.
But Shangguan Ning still didn’t dare to be careless. She knew that Ji Bo was a man who treated career and family as sothing really important. Jing Yichen was his enemy so was she.
Shangguan Ning had no idea how long she had been here for, already. All she knew was that as soon as Jing Yichen found her missing, he would get extrely worried.
Why must Ji Bo wait until dawn before releasing her?
Why wouldn’t he hold her for two days so that the wedding could be cancelled?
A touch of anxiety flashed across Shangguan Ning’s heart.
Sothing was wrong!
She was not the target, otherwise she would not have been treated so well at this mont. The wedding was not their target either, otherwise she would not be released the following day either.
Their target was Jing Yichen.
But Shangguan Ning couldn’t figure out how they planned to deal with Jing Yichen.
Also, why was keeping her captivated here would be helpful for Ji Bo and his n to deal with Jing Yichen?
Why must she be away if they wanted sothing to happen to Jing Yichen?
Shangguan Ning stopped thinking when she failed to co up with anything. What she needed to do right now was to find a way to go back to Jing Yichen.
She stood up and got off the bed, only to collapse on the carpet.
Startled, Ji Bo went to hold her instantly. “How are you, Shangguan? Are you feeling unwell?”
Right at this mont, a gun was placed upon Ji Bo’s temple.
Ji Bo’s expression changed slightly. He turned to look at the gun holder in astonishnt.
He had not expected that a pregnant woman, a bride-to-be, would have a gun with her in the night before going to bed.
Didn’t they check her when Tang Yun drugged her?! Oh well, no one would have expected that Shangguan Ning would have a gun with her.
It seed that she had been prepared for sothing bad to happen.
She had pretended to fall onto the ground feebly.
He had been fooled.
But the strange thing was that Ji Bo was not at all furious. Instead, he shalessly felt a touch of joy because she was in his arms.
Also, he could feel that Shangguan Ning had no intention of killing him.
Ji Bo wanted to carry her and stood up, but the gun was pointed at his head, making him stiffen.
“You better not move, or I might misfire as an amatuer.”
Shangguan Ning stepped away Ji Bo’s arms without difficulty, but kept the gun trained upon his head.
She had been keeping herself fit even during pregnancy, so she was flexible and agile.
But she was really nervous inside her heart because she had once heard Ji Lili ntion Ji Bo’s proficiency in arms and ammunition. She was worried that Ji Bo would take the gun away from her and threaten her instead.
“Raise your arms and stand up slowly!” Shangguan Ning was doing what she had seen on TV.
A bitter smile hovered over Ji Bo’s face, but the smile soon disappeared.
He put his arms up and slowly raised himself.
