After they finished cleaning her up, Zheng Jing made a bowl of noodles with mushroom and beef. Zheng Jing’s heart was content after he saw her finishing the bowl of noodles so quickly.

Mrs. Zheng looked at her children in astonishnt. She had just brought ho the mango steens which her daughter liked. The fruits had scattered all over the ground but she didn’t realise it.

She pointed at them with trembling fingers, her voice was full of agony and despair. “You... you... are trying to kill ? You are brother and sister! My son and my daughter, how can you....”

She couldn’t continue.

She was full of hurt and discomfort.

Zheng Jing and Zheng Lun stared at her in panic as they started to shout. “It is not what you think, mom!”

Mrs. Zheng knew her children well. She was sensitive and she could figure out what her children were doing judging from how they behaved. They were going towards a direction that she didn’t want to see them in.

She went pale and couldn’t stand on her feet.

Zheng Lun rushed to her side and held her by the waist as she cried, “Mom, don’t scare . Nothing is going on between brother and . It is my fault. I am way too spoiled. It has nothing to do with brother. Punish , mom!”

Mrs. Zheng had tears trickling down alongside her cheeks. She couldn’t stand still and collapsed. Zheng Lun couldn’t hold her and kneeled down in front of her mother and kept calling her mom with arms around her.

Mrs. Zheng’s heart broke by Zheng Lun’s voice. She took hold of Zheng Lun and said in tears, “Seven, you are my daughter. You are not a replacent to anyone. You are my daughter!”

She barely addressed Zheng Lun as “Seven”, because that would remind them of Zheng Lun’s identity and hurt them.

But the reason why she called her in that way was because she wanted Zheng Lun to know that she didn’t regard her as a substitute for her dead daughter. She had always known that her daughter was gone and she brought up Seven as her own daughter!

“Both of you are my children and I have never regarded you as an outsider. Seven, what you did is sothing I can’t accept. I can’t accept if my daughter marries my son. I brought you up because I want you to get married and have children. I want your children to call

as grandmother. It is impossible... between you and your brother! You are slaying !”

Mrs. Zheng just couldn’t help it and started to cry. How could she watch her children being together?

That would be totally against morals.

Zheng Lun threw herself into her mother’s arms and cried. “I am sorry, mom, please don’t get upset. I will never do that again. My brother will always be my brother. I am your daughter, and I will always be!”

down!”

Zheng Lun nodded vigorously. “I will never let you down, mom!”

Zheng Jing went up to help her mother and sister up. He felt terrible to have seen his mother in this state.

Mrs. Zheng went back to the room after the episode.

Zheng Jing picked up the mango steens from the floor and placed them onto the table. Then he turned around and saw Zheng Lun standing there. He went and took hold of her little hands as he said with a low voice, “Lun, don’t worry. I am here.”

“Brother, am I upsetting mom?” Zheng Lun looked so confused and guilty that Zheng Lun felt his heart ache.

He patted his sister’s hair and said seriously, “No, you are always mom’s pride. You have always been a good student in the class, in the piano and painting.
