Chapter 203: The Voice Recorder’s Secret

Jing Yichen’s held a voice recorder in his hands, and it was the style which he was very familiar with – the special voice recorder of Family Jing.
Seeing that he looked a bit weird, Shangguan Ning asked, “What is it?”
“It is from Jing Yiran.” Jing Yichen sounded very cold. The gentleness from his face was gone.
Shangguan Ning was very surprised. She looked at the delivery box and found that there was no sender’s information available.
Jing Yichen pressed the play button of the recorder and the voices of a man and a woman could be heard.
“What do you want
to do? To kill them both?”
“No, just the woman. The man must stay alive and he mustn’t be hurt.”
“That is not easy. They are in the sa car and if anything happens to the car, the people inside can’t escape from being hurt. Your price isn’t high enough to make the accident look unsuspicious. You better poison that woman with a pill. That’ll save you a lot of trouble.”
“That won’t work. People would find out that she has been poisoned and I will not be able to get away with it. Car accidents are the best thod. I can give you more money if you want. The woman doesn’t need to die, but at least cripple her. No harm should be done to the man, or I won’t pay you a penny.”
“That won’t work. I don’t do anything without paynt. You little girl, are just too young to trick an experienced gangster like . I need so incentive to do what I am going to do.”
“How much do you want?”
“No money needed. Sleep with
for two days and no money is needed. Sounds reasonable?”
The voice recorder stopped here. It didn’t seem to be the end, but had ended anyway.
Although the voice had slightly changed, yet Jing Yichen could still tell who the people in conversation were. But the contents of the dialogue made him frown.
He turned to look at Shangguan Ning beside him. She had turned white like a piece of paper and her eyes were red as if she were trying to hold back her emotions with great effort.
“What is wrong, Ning?”
Jing Yichen imdiately took her into his arms and held her soft but freezing hands in his own.
His warmth cald down Shangguan Ning’s agitated heart after a while. She spoke through clenched teeth, “Shangguan Rouxue is the woman who is speaking in the recorder.”
Jing Yichen nodded and said, “I know!”
He even knew that the male’s voice belonged to Black Wind, whom he was trying to find desperately.
Although they sounded much younger than they did now, yet Jing Yichen, could easily figure it out.
“The woman she put out the kill order for, was .”
Shangguan Ning shivered. She was not frightened. She was simply furious.
Jing Yichen kept her in his arms and patted her back softly. “It is okay, Ning. All is in the past, and that woman has nothing now. Things will get worse for her, I promise.”
He sounded determined, which comforted Shangguan Ning’s agonizing heart. She opened her mouth and recounted the incident from the past in a slightly hoarse voice.
“I got to know Xie Zhuojun when I was young, but we didn’t know each other well. We only greeted each other courteously whenever we ran into each other. We got to know each other better when we attended the sa university in the neighboring city. During holidays, he drove
back to A City. He would dropped
ho before going back to his own. He was the most popular guy in the campus whilst I was just an ordinary girl. Many people thought that I was his girlfriend when they saw

Had she liked Xie Zhuojun at that ti, she would have been sitting on the passenger seat and turned up like Xie Zhuojun post the accident.

Shangguan Ning’s phone rang as she was imrsed in her past.
She picked it up and found that it was from a stranger.
Jing Yichen who was still holding her in arms, said coldly, “Ning, pick it up and turn on the speaker. It is Jing Yiran! He has sent you a huge present and wants the reward now.”
Shangguan Ning picked up the phone and turned on the speaker.
“Beauty, have you got my present? Like it? Sigh, I have just got too many ssy recordings here and it takes
hours to decipher them and to learn the secrets!”
“Where is Black Wind?” Jing Yichen asked with a cold voice before Shangguan Ning could say anything.
