Regarding the Resurrection Technique, Shawn and Lady Hecate were both extrely cautious.

.........

Ring City. Great Tomb.

In the pitch-black night, suddenly one of the graves shook slightly, the soil on it seed recently filled. As a filthy, mud-covered pale hand reached up from underground, soon a humanoid silhouette crawled out from the tomb.

Ugh!

It was a young person with a relatively slender figure, approximately sixteen or seventeen years old, with dark brown hair, dull expressionless eyes, and a sowhat confused and bewildered look. After climbing out of the tomb, he imdiately began to retch, shivering in the chilling wind. After briefly cleaning off the mud from his body, he seed to realize sothing, looked at his hand, then touched his mud-covered face, murmuring: "I have been resurrected?"

"And turned into a human?"

His brain was a ss, Paver doubted if his brain tissue was still intact, as he had just picked a maggot out from his ear.

Fresh brain tissue was regenerating, but his exposed skin was still crawling with pale maggots.

Paver found no injuries on his body, as if so magical force had repaired all his bodily damage upon resurrection, even fully restoring his damaged brain.

"Where is this place?"

Driven by hunger, Paver walked toward the outside of the Great Tomb, suspecting that staying here any longer would make him succumb to gnawing on corpses like a Ghoul from the morgue.

"It’s not the Resurrection of the Dead, nor is it Mark City. It feels a bit like the Druid’s Rebirth Technique, but haven’t the Druids already been forbidden by the gods from reincarnating?"

"Even if I were resurrected, it should have been in the morgue."

Paver staggered out of the Great Tomb; the night grew deeper, and no lights were seen around. When he looked up, he could see so distant glow, seemingly from so people, and there was a large area of shanties there.

"What happened to this ghostly place? Why is the stench of death so strong?"

Distantly, there were ruins and rubble, seeming to have undergone a terrifying war.

Paver felt his current brain was very muddled, unable to recall many things, as if soone had scrambled his brain matter and patched it up, leaving his whole mind buzzing.

"That’s it!"

"I was helping my master eliminate a potential competitor."

"I failed."

"I died."

Paver seed to recall sothing, scenes from before his death, and the silhouette of his master—she was very tall, exceptionally tall, often erupting in thunderous fury in anger, the thing he feared most.

Yes.

Master!

His master was Zedala, a female Titan Giant of Mark City, having hidden there after being discovered impersonating a Divine Being from so Plane, potentially never being able to leave.

No right!

Why did I fail?

Suddenly, Paver shuddered; he thought of his master, knowing too many secrets, which if leaked even a bit would lead to his certain death.

So hungry!

Hunger impaired his thinking; he felt famished as if for a week.

Paver stumbled toward the distant firelight; his silhouette seed to draw their attention. Soon, a burly man jogged over, supporting Paver, asking: "What happened?"

"Need help?"

The burly man appeared warrior-like, with strong, firm arms. Upon clearly seeing Paver’s appearance, he froze instantaneously because of the grave’s moist mud on Paver, and even so live maggots on his arms.

Behind the man, a middle-aged woman shouted in horror: "It’s Vic! He’s resurrected!..."

Panic spread.

The freshly disaster-stricken people were terrified of the resurrection of the dead; many retreated in fright, so even picking up weapons, trembling: "Is he a zombie?"

Paver, at this ti, also clearly saw the burly man before him.

In a flash, he froze completely because the blurry silhouette reflected behind the burly man was unclear but showed a ferocious pig face, sharp tusks prominently beast-like like an Orc, such that the shadow seed attached to the man’s body, akin to a ghost.

"What is this ghostly thing? Demon? Resentful Spirit?"

Paver’s steps faltered, nearly collapsing; he was extrely weak, yet fortunately, the burly man supported him, tightly gripping his arm with crimson eyes fixed upon him, his expression filled with an unsettling fear-inducing excitent.

"Otherworldly Soul." The man excitedly whispered.

Paver, though not understanding the man’s language, understood his words; post-resurrection, he seed inadvertently capable of understanding the local speech.

"Give sothing to eat." Paver gasped; he felt he was near starvation.

The burly man, dressed sowhat priest-like, though Paver hadn’t seen warriors use priests, promptly lifted Paver and shouted to the back: "Not a zombie; he is revived by Divine Terra’s grace!"

"Praise Divine Terra! Fetch so food here."

The burly man held him like a chick, and following the Terra Priest’s words, the others noticeably relieved, handed over so leftover porridge from the evening.
