This area is shrouded in omnipresent negative energy.

Teleportation spells here easily go awry, and even passing through this space while casting a teleportation spell can be anchored by the ’Long Hair’ and remain here. This land possesses a thread of ’space’ law; there were once unyielding Transcendents who tried to extract divine power from the Long-haired Forest, but ultimately they were tangled by countless strands and dragged underground, leaving no trace behind.

—Lavinia’s scalp [Land of Desecration].

In front of Shawn’s view, there is an area approximately one to two hundred ters in radius, with the ground colored like white moss, completely different from the surrounding dark land, appearing from mid-air as a lesion on this earth. Many black intertwined trees and thorns grow in this area, looking no different from the Spirit Realm’s ghost tree reflections, but once you approach, countless strands of hair will coil towards you, eventually dragging you underground for decomposition and digestion.

There are many extrely dangerous places in the Spirit Realm, such as Candlefort, Beheading Valley, Long-haired Forest, etc.

Shawn halts his steps and starts reviewing his knowledge repository.

No knowledge ans moving impossibly beyond the Material Plane; even legendary warriors daringly storming into the Long-haired Forest might be gnawed to nothing but bone remnants. Lavinia is a forbidden Demigod Witch, rumored to have summoned the projection of the ancients through so thod and conceived forbidden offspring with it. The forbidden offspring grew rapidly after birth, and upon reaching adulthood, Lavinia sacrificed it, ultimately ascending to beco a demigod through the theft of ancient powers.

Of course, her end was not good either; this Demigod Witch ultimately went completely mad and out of control, exploding in a certain demigod war, scattering her remains throughout the Spirit Realm, with only a piece of scalp left transforming into the thousand-kiloter Long-haired Forest.

—The witch’s lice [Malignant] (Challenge Level 11).

A louse-like monster erged from that white moss-like jungle, approximately over a ter long, its head covered with dense black fuzz split into pairs of eyes. In the late out-of-control stage of Demigod Witch Lavinia, her body beca increasingly bloated, resembling a giant female of piled at several hundred ters high. The witch fad for her astonishing beauty started decaying internally, and within her dragging ground-length thousand-ter-long hair, grew many terrifying malignants, such as these strange lice.

"You certainly picked a place."

Shawn’s eyes slightly squint; this strange malignant makes him feel physically uncomfortable. Glancing at the monstrous doctor beside him, he calmly says, "Deal with it."

The monstrous doctor’s figure swiftly darts out; from beneath his grey-white long robe, eye-stem-like biological tissue extends, accompanied by a scorching ray, leaving a charred wound on the strange louse’s body.

—Plague swarm!

—Giant insect spell!

The monstrous doctor seems to command an extensive array of spells; he summons a large swarm of poisonous insects with a spell, and in the next second, the summoned insects begin to gigantify. His spells tend towards the Necromancy school, Cursed Weakness Poison Strike, starting off with a wave of weakening buffs. The monstrous doctor far surpasses other casters in physical quality, nearing a tier-one warrior’s level, allowing him to engage in lee effortlessly and exert the modified limbs’ power.

—Monstrous Doctor [Flesh Weaver] [Flesh and Blood Reproduction] (Challenge Level 14).

Shawn discovers that after receiving the Child of Slaughter’s talents, his scouting and appraisal abilities have undergone so subtle changes; when attempting to parse enemy strength, he perceives feedback resembling Challenge Levels and can parse portions of enemy’s ability traits.

This certainly isn’t his ability, most likely derived from so Slaughter Law’s power.

The monstrous doctor’s combat power is moderately high in the Realm of Reality but falls short in the Bizarre Realm; ordinary shadow Heart Stealer’s have a Challenge Level of 8, and in places beyond the Realm of Reality, there are tons of monsters with Challenge Levels over 10.

"It looks like I must study the Child of Slaughter’s talents well; I seem to have many undiscovered hidden abilities," Shawn wondered.

"Why does fusing Child of Slaughter’s talents with mysterious knowledge feel like finally getting a system?"

The monstrous doctor’s practical battle ability is weak.

Shawn watches for a while, finally couldn’t resist, and a sudden powerful surge of spiritual energy erupts from his body, directly destroying the weird lice’s mind with a Mind Spike.

—Mind Spike [Spell Ascension Ring]!

Boom.

The malignant’s head instantly explodes, filthy blood splattering the earth, quickly forming a corrosive region.

"Can you detect your own abilities?"

Shawn observes his surroundings, orders the monstrous doctor to clean up the battlefield while he again attempts to study the Child of Slaughter’s abilities. It seems that in his process of killing the enemy, the Child of Slaughter’s talents are gradually revealing, and at the mont he took the monster’s head, a peculiar soul power was also captured by him.

This soul power accelerated his digestion of the Extraordinary Essence.

"Do I have to personally take the head to use the Child of Slaughter’s talent to capture the enemy’s soul power?" Shawn pondered silently.
