Two factions were engaged in a fierce battle here, directly alarming all the residents of Dusk Town.

As expected, during this raid, the chief of police and the old town mayor honorably sacrificed their lives, riddled with bullets from the Blood Wolf’s n.

In just half a day, the entire judicial system of Dusk Town underwent a complete overhaul.

Blood Wolf-Colson, however, died from a sneak attack by his subordinate. His deputy suddenly betrayed him, shooting the head of this Transcendent of the Warrior Path from behind. Thus, the gang which had entrenched itself in Dusk Town for many years instantly collapsed, but by that night, a large batch of captured gang mbers had been released, including Blood Wolf’s deputy, who was even honored for his ritorious service.

It took Shawn only one day to completely control both the legal and illegal realms of Dusk Town.

Inside a blood-soaked warehouse.

Shawn covered his nose as he entered this bloody slaughterhouse. Behind him was a man with a sinister scarred face, Blood Wolf’s deputy—Cavana, a Transcendent of the Warrior Path, whose will was now completely under Shawn’s control.

All of this was just a small script arranged by Shawn for the outside world, portraying a power struggle in Dusk Town due to uneven distribution of spoils, with the ambitious deputy seeking to replace Blood Wolf by siding with the mayor and others. Originally, this was a foolproof plan, but unexpectedly, Blood Wolf’s final counterattack even took the police chief and old town mayor with him.

That’s how the script was written.

But due to the rushed preparation, Shawn didn’t have the ti to refine it, and an explanation for the outside world was sufficient.

Everyone who wasn’t needed was dealt with by him.

In front of Shawn, the scene resembled a terrifying slaughterhouse, except that what’s being slaughtered here were not livestock but humans. Nurous sealed jars preserved human body parts, as well as so stripped bones, which were materials for making Skeleton Guards.

With just a glance, he could determine that the mastermind secretly supporting these people was the Undead Wizard.

"A monster doctor, perhaps?"

Shawn’s eyes narrowed slightly, and his gaze swept over the scar-faced man behind him. He calmly asked, "When is the next transaction?"

This sinister scar-faced man bowed respectfully and said, "In three days."

Shawn nodded lightly.

He wanted to see what sort of divine entity this monster doctor was.

Currently, this town of tens of thousands was entirely under his control. Shawn wouldn’t linger here for long and would leave after tidying up. As for the reason for the large-scale personnel change, it was to facilitate the installation of new people. The old guards had complicated interrelationships, and sudden changes in character and behavior could easily arouse suspicion.

The damned must die for the newcors to ascend smoothly.

Creating an illusion of internal conflict to cleanse away all the unnecessary people and support a batch of newcors to the upper position paved the way for Shawn to remotely control everything here in the future!

Shawn would spend so ti planting Thought Marks on the people he selected.

If these depraved Transcendents could do whatever they wished to ordinary people, then Shawn, who possessed Arcane Magic and Mind Law, could do the sa to them.

He now was the Slave-Shawn (Aemon).

In just one day, he fully grasped control over everything in Dusk Town, and as the Extraordinary Essence further digested, he seed to touch a bit of the Devil’s Domain.

"Looks like I need to study how to properly play the role of a Devil."

From beginning to end, Shawn never personally intervened. Those dominated by the Mind were his pawns, or perhaps his puppets, to be destroyed if unnecessary, or continued to perform on the chessboard if needed.

Unfortunately, playing the Devil required a formidable opponent, and Dusk Town’s adversaries were simply too weak.

In the Realm of Reality, only a Legendary with destiny was qualified to be his rival.
